Que falta de respeto interrumpir constantemente a una invitada! para nada profesional ese entrevistador. Admiro la paciencia de Kat!
La otra parte es que no miden la velocidad que hablan. Estaban hablando demasiado rapido para una persona que menciono que entiende el Español pero no lo habla fluido. Me gusto la respuesta que le dio al hombre cuando le dijo que buscaba su proximo tattoo...😂😂😂. De todas formas creo que lo habla bastante bien para una persona que llego a EEUU con 4 años.
i speak spanish about as well as she does. its very stressful to have to speak this much when you cant express things as well as you might in your native language. cheers to her for being willing to do interviews in spanish.
Spanish is her native language. People tend to forget certain words when you only speak English everyday.

A mi me sorprende que sus papás siendo hispano parlantes, ella en esta entrevista dice que le cuesta hablar en español. Y en instagram acaba de hacer una publicación donde en los comentarios alguien le pregunta si en su casa tienen como primer idioma el español y ella le contesta qué si. Admiro a Kat, pero esto si me confunde

Those that maybe aren’t too familiar with having English as your base even though you speak another language, like Spanish, it can become a bit problematic in maintaining fluency in the other language. She speaks Spanish well, but it can be noted that she’s thinking in English at some points. That makes it more difficult for your brain. I’ve heard that when you speak multiple languages, you have different personalities attached to them. That lets us know that you literally have to embody that person to hopefully be as fluent as possible.

@@CesarClouds It's called knowedge and experience. I have direct experience with bilingual upbringing and as a professional translator myself I can just confirm what he says. Pretty stupid from you to say that he was "reading people's minds" when you have no idea about how knowledgable he is on this.

Her base is Spanish not English. Her parents are Argentinean & she was born in Mexico...later they moved to the US but she was very little so she went to school in California.
Very interesting. I stumbled onto this because I am learning Spanish, and I found her video of Lovesong fantastic! I was really surprised to see that she was stumbling on some of the Spanish words and phrases and started wondering, as I actually just discovered her recently. I didn't know enough about her history to know what her native language is. I had assumed Spanish. I find this fascinating, considering the challenges I have had thus far in learning another language. What you are saying makes perfect sense.

Me imagino que ahora que Kate Von D se acaba de casar con otro Mexicano Rafael Reyes o mejor conocido como Leafar Seyer de la banda Prayers, y tienen un hijo el cual se ve que le enseñan también español, ahora lo hablara más fluidamente. Ella nacio en México 🐈⬛🇲🇽 y es hija de Argentinos 🇦🇷 pero se crio en Estados Unidos 🇺🇲 aunque dijo que en casa habla español con su padres , en la calle, trabajo y televisión lo hace en Inglés la mayoría de su tiempo, y es probable que se le dificulta a veces el Español en publico o se le olviden algunas palabras como en esta entrevista, pero aun así lo habla mejor que muchos Chilenos o Reggaetoneros jeje 😅

Claramente el español no es tan fácil. Y algunas cosas las entiende bien, lo que pasa es que no esta procesando las palabras.
Ella tiene excelente comprensión pero sí, se ve que le cuesta mucho expresarse, aunque pudo tener una conversación básica con los entrevistadores :D Me imagino que no lo habla muy a menudo.
Ella sí sabe hablar español, es mexicana. Nada más que viviendo tanto en otro país, se le olvida. Es normal, aunque medio triste.

Was her Spanish very fluent and natural?
she speaks good conversational spanish and her pronunciation was good but she struggled for certain words, mostly because she probably doesn't practice it a whole lot.
Her parents are Argentinean and she was born in Mexico.
Her accent is great, but I think she needs to practice a bit more. If she did, she would be phenomenal speaker. Also she could try to practice using Spanish filler words instead of the English ones. But she sounds good.

What’s the problem? She’s trying. I think that’s all people can expect. She lived most of her life in the States, so language wears off. I hate language shaming. I think it’s nice that she’s trying even if it’s not perfect :). I’m trying to learn Spanish as a Serbian person because it’s so beautiful, I hope people would think me trying is cringey.
