Epic Flight to Greenland and a Walk on the Ice Cap | Episode 5

On this episode we take out Cessna Cardinal across the North Atlantic Ocean to Kulusuk on the east coast of Greenland, and then over the Greenland ice cap to Kangerlussuaq, a former US military base now Greenland's main airport. We enjoy warm Greenlandic hospitality. Go sightseeing the surrounding area, and take a tour to the Ice Cap where we actually get to walk on top of the ice.
In this video series I hope to offer a glimpse into the challenges of preparing and actually flying across the Atlantic ocean, navigating over the remote northern landscapes and vast stretches of water, and experiencing breathtaking views that only a small plane can offer. In the 1960s cessna started building airplanes with a rear window. Adding a rear view mirror was a marketing strategy to make the aircraft feel more like a car.
