- Miami (OH) Softball and Oklahoma Softball played in the first game of the OU Tournament during the 2024 College Softball Season.

The best part of my work as a RUclipsr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other RUclipsrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Back in the day before my knees gave out I used to umpire both baseball and softball. Truth be told, I always enjoyed the softball more. The ladies were always more fun to watch. Their enthusiasm was unmatched and they were just so much nicer. And GOD, could they play.

I've said this since I've seen her pitch. Peyton Melllicini and Deihl are the best pitchers. Peyton just has the best movement on her pitches. Mark my words. Peyton is a stud. You're going to see her rise up in the rotation

Even though we did have walks and some bad pitching, Miami (OH) can score runs. They put up 12, 15, 5, 12, 14, 11, 13, 6 (Conn), 8 (Miss), 1 (Clem), 7 (Conn), 7 (OU) this year so far and I believe they lead the nation in total team HRs? They aren't a bad offensive team at all.
The Redskins are a very good team .
Calm down Sooners the girls will be fine. Major stress opening a new field and keeping the longest win streak going. Lighten up.
Miami also is one of the best hitting teams in the country. They have like 50 HR already. First in slugging in the nation and 2nd in runs/g at over 9. They beat Louisiana 12-10 tonight in the evening game at Marita Hynes. Won't be surprised to see Miami in regionals this year
College softball may be the best sport after football in the NCAA now. Seems like there is drama and athleticism and determination in every game.
Fast pitch softball is exciting and fast and fun .

I was at the game it was incredible! I will say for both sides that home plate umpire was HORRIBLE he was consistently inconsistent!

I didn't know there were only 7 innings in softball. So I thought there was still more game to be had after that last home run. Lol
For some reason this field looks a lot smaller than the old one. That was one heck of a game. The energy there was palpable thru the screen. Great job on the video and great game by both teams.
That’s due to the seating around the field being much larger making the field look smaller
The field is smaller in the way of the seating taking away some of the outfield. Go to 1:17 and look at how it angles in. The old field had a lot of room all the way back to the wall. Definitely a big change on running down foul balls that everyone will have to get used to.

Always good (and rare) to see the Sooners at least get challenged. When Jordy Bahl left, you had to wonder that all was not right in paradise. Oh well, Patti Gasso can just go back to California and Arizona and re-load. Gasso needs to teach her team some lessons in humility and class, but I won't hold my breath.

I do not care what nobody say Nicole May is a senior how can you lead by example when you walking baseball players just as much as the first message to me I never agreed with you it's a good picture that you are but you got a lot of work to do because remember you are a senior you supposed to leave by example you had every picture today said it's okay to walk better you you are saying that it's okay for players to hit home runs that ain't the way you operate Patty you got your work cut out because the pictures needs a leader I don't care what nobody say they do not have a leader at this point in time Nicole May should not be started she's not a starter you may need to go back into the transfer portal and get a picture
