- In this video, Jamie and I open a "Mystery Box", then remove the Kubota BH77 Backhoe attachment from "Punkn'", my 2019 Kubota L2501 4x4 Tractor and install a 3-point hitch and Auger attachment to dig post holes for our first garden on the Classic Truck Ranch.

CTR is not merely rescuing old truck content, and no... it's not a number. It's Rick and Jamie with a cute little dog, living in Molalla OR video capturing them opening mystery boxes. Well, sometimes these nice humble humans get sick, or frustrated with hardships that life throws there way. Yet these sweet and normally soft spoken folks, continue sharing their passions for old GMC trucks, as well as building on the property, working to fulfill enviable desires. They almost always share video of there dog, chickens, beavers, ducks, deer, and other wild life around them. They share their wedding ceremony, birthdays, a parade, and occasionally a Sasquatch.
If this were anyone else's You Tube site it would be done someone else's way, but it's not, cuz it is CTR.

Hi Rick and Jamie oh and Annabella you guys can post what ever you want its your guy's channel. I enjoy all the videos maybe that person should unsubscribe because that's not right to say to anyone. I have had the same problem with my channel people giving me a hard time and doing RUclips is not easy. I think some people are just jealous because they don't have a RUclips channel. I would say that mystery boxes keep doing them I like watching. Anyway have a good weekend and peace out.

Hey Rick, I just had to pause the video and say, post whatever you want, Ill watch it. Be it, dragging an old truck out of the bushes, doing burn outs in your "new" Z28, how to unstuck a stuck engine, or yes, restoring an old air compressor. I been with you guys for years and years, you guys was my first "subscription" back when you was restoring "Wheezie" or however you spell it. (you walked past it the other day, was hoping you'd gave it a "shout out" on if it's still in use?) I feel opening the mystery boxes on camera shows real appreciation and respect to those that send em. Again, whatever you post, I will watch.

I use a 3-point quick hitch. It's so much easier you won't know how you did with out it. No back breaking work backup hook it up and your done. I got mine at northern tools 125.00 best money I ever spent. You put on your 3 point and your done. Saves a lot of time.

For your mystery boxes, and just fan mail in general, I was thinking do a video every 4 to 6 weeks or so, and dedicate that video to the mystery boxes and fan mail, rather than trying to open them before each video. I don't think that would distract from anything else you want to show us, and it gives everyone the opportunity to see that, you received their package, but they also get to see the look on your faces when you get them opened.

@@ClassicTruckRescue When I clicked the COMMENT button, there were no other "visible" comments, so I'll call that a win. LOL......BTW, I'm looking at a 61 Apache long bed Fleetside. If I do pull the trigger on it, I'm probably going to want to see what you might have for it. The seller says it's on a 4X4 chassis, and the suspension screams 4X4, but it's only RWD, which seems kinda strange to me. Any insight???

Rick, we watch your show all the time. They are your mystery boxes. You open them and show them as you see fit. Don't worry about anyone else out there. If they don't like hearing about other stuff besides classic trucks, then they can go find a different channel or make their own!

I have not seen farming equipment for decades. I'd forgotten how a three point hitch goes together. My father had an old Ford, 9N?? , back in 1974. He'd hook up the 3 point hitch so many times, I had it down pat myself. When you don't do something for a long time, ya sometimes forget how to do it.

Reminds me of my local semi driving days. Another driver attempted to start his tractor while standing on the side tank step and it jumped the curb and almost went back into Johnson Creek. Did ya know tire chains in the summer are used to haul semi tractors back to safety B4 the boss shows up?

Hey Rick and Jamie, if you want to build your channel then I know youtube likes shorter (like 20min) and more regular video uploading. How about separating the videos into mail, truck, ranch, helpful videos and so on, maybe this could get more viewers. I appreciate any content you put on youtube and also the hard work that it takes to keep everything going.

Your channel is about your lives. If someone doesn't want to watch "daily life" videos, they are free to watch one of the commercial channels. You have to do what YOU want to do, and I for one really enjoy all your videos. Annabella reminds me of the two Yorkies that Linda had when we met (both of them passed years ago). We miss our little furry family members, and love our little Papillon, Roxy, who is with us now. Your location is special to me too, as you know, my Mom lived just up the road from you in the last ten years of her life. So you're kind of like family to me, or at least the cool neighbors. Next time you are at the hardware store or you can buy it on eBay, get a box assortment of hitch pin clips. Then you don’t have to fight with cotter pins on the tractor.
That’s what I thought at first, however there didn’t seem to be enough room for a hitch pin clip, thus the cotter key.
I started watching your channel because of how you show everything not just the trucks & i love hearing about truck inspector general & yes rick i love the mystery box openings so just keep up the good work & the great content

Helpful video. I want to remove the 3 point hitch but these pins (29.30) are stuck and I can't get them out like in the video because there is the 3 point hitch in the way. Any suggestions how I can get them out?

P.S. Can you give us an update on how Lou is doing? Also, anything on your "new" Z28? Last we seen it was at the body shop. And, I know you got enough work on filming, editing and posting videos, but could you, maybe at the beginning of the video put up the filmed on date? Some seem to pretty recent, some like months behind. NBD just a suggestion for more work for ya. hahaha
I'll address these in order. First, Lou is not doing well. I was waiting for him to get better before moving forward on my building so that he could continue to be part of the project and because his advice and experience are so valuable. It has occurred to me that I need to get the building finished before Winter, so I am moving forward alone with a goal of having my Mom drive him out here so he can operate one of the remote winches I will be raising the roof with. The new Z/28 is fine, my neighbor is actually doing a VERY good job on it, but he works on it as I pay. He is about halfway finished with the paint job and I am about halfway finished paying for it. As far as starting my videos off by saying when I put them up...not going to happen. That information is already easy to find and most of them are in sequential order.
