- I head out for a few hours in the afternoon chasing anything thats hungry using soft vibes and soft plastics. I explain how I retrieve both types of lures along the way. Then im back on the water in the morning continuing my search for fish, all the fishing in this video is from Lake Macquarie. Hey Andrew, Watching your videos are as close as i can get to fishing as I am up Mid North Coast again. Those just over legal flatties look plentiful as normal. They tell me it was a very ordinary weekend down there weather wise. Maybe I didnt miss much after all😂
Yer Pete plenty of flatties about, i didnt see a whole lot of bait around where i was but. Lots of rain and wind on the weekend u definitely didnt miss much here.
Nice couple of Sessions Lowy, bit of variety, the tailor on the Top water, lure colour exactly the same as the Tailor
I couldn't make a hook stick my last outing, Ya have them type of days🤷♂🤪
Cheers stevo, caught a good few at least. I cant remember what the colours called but its very similar to that tailor. Works good on kings aswell. Some days mate u just dont catch them thats fishing youll get them next trip 👍

Thanks Craig, certainly pays sometimes to have the rods rigged ready to go. I like that topwater setup incase theres some bust ups about. Same with the squid jig there on the ready 👍

Did well. After I left you I got 6 squid, 35cm pannie. Missed a few runs on the live bait.
Soon as I pulled my lines in to come home because of the storms I could hear a boat off in the distance being ecstatic for catching a jew. Guess they got lucky haha.
Thanks mate i was happy to get a few fish, someone had to get lucky too bad it wasnt us 🤣 always next trip but 🤞 a few squid about aswell i noticed.

Thanks heaps mate, i think the first spot i was fishing was towards silver water. Its hit an miss there but at times. I got it on a good day at least 🙌 il probably donut next time i have a cast there. I always fish 6-7 spots per trip but an the idea is that surely 1 spot will fire. Bn working so far for me at least.

Good result Andrew considering the conditions and your being crook. The show must go on. Have you ever considered doing a show chasing Hairtail in the harbour ? There are a few about at the moment. I know that they are not renowned for chasing lures but it would be a good challenge. And tasty too. Could add some Jewie targets if not getting the results on Hairtail..
I havnt spent anytime at all chasing hairtail mate. I have actually caught some on vibes however. Its a strange fight i give u that. Its definitely hard fishing when u dont feel well, tierd all the time and im definitely not fishing as well as normal. Just battling away doing what i can 👍

Yer u should get some fishing time in then matty. No i took the door off helps reduce over heating i found.
