This is just outstanding! What a brilliant live performance of this classic song.
To think this is over 30 years old, and they can still sound as good as this live, it's ind blowing.
Total respect to a band that has stood the test of time.

40 years old now. Used to watch the music video as a kid without knowing we would ever have RUclips to give us all these memories of times in our lives when we had no cares in the world.

Curtis is simply tough on the bass line! They sound amazing!

Roland’s wit and dry humor is hilarious! ✌️🌻
Singers voices (especially male voices tend to really change over time Lindsay Buckingham is just one example that comes to mind though he still rocks) Curt and Roland may have aged in appearance but their voices stayed young. Id love to see them live even today.

42 years later...I'm still in awe of this band. They were in Toronto 3 times in the late 80's. I saw every concert.
And they rock on it takes back to the nightclubs I frequented as a younger man we all need a dose of the music of the 80’s it lift’s the spirits….

WOW I must say I listened to The Hurting vinyl a million times back in the 80's thought I LOVED it then but now in my 50's Curt and Roland's and TFF lyrics, talent have such a profound impact on me today especially knowing what inspired and what led them to write masterpieces!!!!!! Crowd went wild in Indy. Maybe it was the calm before the storm. I've seen an audience so mesmerized, including myself, that it takes a few moments to snap out of the "trance".
Drummer plays them on the snare. Nice live variation. Always loved that handclap pattern.
Agreed. Wish they still had the electronic hand claps rather than the drummer banging them out on the snare. It adds that early 80's flair on the studio version while still keeping the modern live version aesthetic.

@@ericleesmith708 lol, they all really enjoyed touring, which was obvious by the over-the-top beautiful sound they produced. In recent years, this is a standout concert out of about a couple hundred I've seen. Santana and The Black Crowes were a couple of others. Please subscribe!
