I’ve been catching up on back episodes that were filmed prior to finding your channel. You’ve been a great inspiration. Also, really enjoyed watching you today as I have two sofa sets here from Krohelor. One set has been in my family since 1918 or thereabouts along with its accompanying heartwood solid walnut tables (not veneer) and the other was purchased from a family that had bought it originally in 1931. That set still has its original upholstery fabric in pretty much pristine condition. At least I can’t see wear or discolouration on it.
Very nice! I appreciate the quality construction that allowed both pieces to function for so long. Cindy and Jim's repair and refinishing expertise gave the pair a beautiful new life. Outstanding!
This set looks worlds better than when you got it. I would have struggled to figure out what to even do with it! Thank you for sharing the history and your family ties - I really enjoyed this.
Beautiful and very glamourous! The pulls are absolute treasures! Beautiful job, Cindy. Absolutely cracked up, Jim, when you explained it’s Howard, not Howard’s! That’s truly a lovely bedroom set and you both do excellent work.🌸
Even better the second time! Your company histories are fascinating, your color choices are amazing: the soft sheen of the Midnight paint is lovely, but most of all your humorous teamwork- you guys are as always, a delight 😚!
These turned out beautifully! As I commented in your other video, I have a 3 drawer chest, identical to this style. Thank you for sharing the history of it. I wish I knew the name of the style. I will also be painting the dresser black, but hoping to save and stain some of the wood, depending on how bad the veneer is! And I’m glad to see you kept the original hardware. I wasn’t sure if I was, but seeing how nicely yours cleaned up, I’ll be keeping the hardware as well. Thank you again for sharing your work!
From SC. Great job once again.....not too much gold...just right ....A+ on the hardware..the word that comes to mind is "Tuxedo"....music is very peaceful...enjoy seeing y'all together transform and refresh tired pieces . Keep them coming. Thanks
We picked up a Krohelor mid century dresser at the Bloomington IL Restore-- noted it was really high quality but didn't know the history. We painted it white, put French Provincial handles on it and it sold really fast. Thanx for the history lesson.
Hi Ya Guys . Just ❤️Watching you guys . You both work so Beautifululy together . ❤️Hearing about the History of the furniture. They just turned out So Beautiful ❤️the black and the touch of Gold 👍Have an Awesome day Guys 🤗
Love your pieces. You always do such good work on your pieces. Noticed your skinned up knees hope you are doing good. You guys always make your videos so enjoyable.
That was really cool that your mom worked at this furniture place and that your family had some pieces. I really do like that you talk about the history as I have always found that quite interesting. And wow Cindy! You really got those knobs looking so fantastic. I really think they are those pieces crowning jewelry! Black was such a great choice with the accent tan color and those great knobs. Curious what those knobs were made of. The Bar Keeper is my go to for so many things it is great on brass and stainless steel and I use it for our toilets, tubs and showers as we have sulfur in our water and most toilet cleaners really irritate my eyes horribly. It works so well yet has not harmed anything I have used it on. Due to the pandemic and trying to finish building our house furniture and building supplies have been so hard to get that we have bought a lot of used furniture. Which started me looking at RUclips vids such as yours. It was not a planned build and we have done a ton of painting and some refinishing. So it’s been great watching such videos. Keep up the good work and love that furniture history! ❤️
Omg literally laughed out loud - it's Jim's HOWARD Feed n Wax! 😂 Thank you for that! (The other one that drives me nuts is PolyAcrylic. No. No A!) Anyway, these turned out stunning. Love the gold and contrast. Classy! Have to try Rethunk Junk someday, the coverage is crazy good.
You guys are amazing! Such love for the pieces! What a relief when it's time to prime! You made these wonderful pieces look majestic! The gold is a genius detail! The handles are beautiful! I have a question: did you lightly sand after priming or after painting or did the use of the roller left the surface smooth enough? Thanks so much for sharing.
Beautiful great job again. Do you have alot of luck selling your furniture where your from. Nice to see transcend furniture watches your videos I watch her as well she is amazing . I guess I have great taste. Lol
Bloody hell Jim please dont scare me again. You went into fast motion just as you reached down to the paint container. I immediately thought you'd fallen or collapsed until you sat up. I've noticed your breathing at times is a bit worrying. Take care both of you. We want to keep seeing your beautiful pieces. Well done today.
Love how you have started giving the history of the manufacturer on your pieces.
Thanks! It's interesting doing a little research!

Enjoyed the history of the furniture maker and your family connection to them 😀 The dynamic duo came through again --- looks so much better 😀
Yes! Thank you!
If furniture could talk, it would have quite a story to tell. You added a new chapter to this set.

Beautiful! I’m very envious that you have an extra set of hands… I do all my furniture refinishing and restoring on my own.

What a result!! Classy, sexy and distinguished!! Loved it all
Thanks Andy!!!
You did a beautiful job on these two pieces but how do you open some of those drawers that don't have handles??
The drawer and base are curved in such a way that there are grab handles underneath or on the side of the drawer. Thanks Loraine!
magníficos!!!!!🥰
Thank you!

We do lightly sand after priming, but the Kilz Restoration Primer does go on pretty smooth! Thanks Sophia!

Hi Cynhia! My breathing does get a bit labored sometimes due to copd, but all is well! Sorry to scare you! Thanks!
Did they sell? For how much?
We just finished them and posted the video, so they're not even listed yet. We'll try to update later! Thanks!
