I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Awesome job! As a doula, I can say your ideas of how you can support and protect your wives during labor were great. It was refreshing to listen to men who want and expect a proactive role in the labor process. Also, love the shoutout for doulas! 😊
Loved this one! I had a really good experience with all 4 of my kids from a medical staff perspective when we were giving birth! Kinda wish more guys have that story.
Ohh also my wife and I had a midwife for the first 2 unfortunately we couldn't find one for our 3. The only bad incident was the first. When we got to the hospital but before the midwife arrived the nurse tried to get my wife an epidural and my wife made it clear she didn't want it. I had to get very aggressive to get the nurse to leave. She even tried to sneak in again when I had to go to the restroom.
Great Episode! What is your crazy childbirth story? How did you set the conditions and expectations to accomplish your family's birth plan. As a husband have you ever had to confront the delivery staff for pressuring your wife into making a decision she doesn't want to make?
