Chris, really enjoy the calibration videos. Next to learning from you, I enjoy Piers and Andy's site along with Rick Shiels (when he is teaching). For players who have issues with Iron play (me included) this is a good video to watch to learn or, as a refresher when issues pop up. Chris you have really helped my short game, fairway woods, and Driver striking since my returning to the game after a 20+ year away from the game. Have been back for 3.5 years... My first round on a 131 slope rated course was 123 (I cringe remembering this) and as of this week, I am playing to a 12-13 dependent upon courses played for Slope and Rating. Thanks again Chris. Wish I could afford to attend your U.S. Schools. But, at least I can watch your videos on RUclips. Sorry for the rambling.
Excellent, excellent ,excellent. Should I say it again? One of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. It addresses a couple of my faults for sure. There's a lot of deer on that course. I see them in almost every video. Are they your fore caddies? Thanks guys!
Thanks Randy, and yes the back 9 always has the deer, plenty of them about and so they often make an appearance...... I do sometimes wonder if people return to view my videos more for the wildlife though rather that the golf content 😂😂
Fantastic drill, answered many questions I had. I have been practicing this back swing, and I have been striking the ball crisp, shallow divots, and much longer with a penetrating ball flight. Thank you very, very much.
Well what can I say the three best coaches I have ever had and that’s just on RUclips I was also a member of meandmygolf lol , that just could not get any better thanks Chris ....
Chris the videos just keep getting better and better. Love the drills and tips, the cooler weather is setting in so more time indoors can turn into swing training sessions. It’s a toss up for me between DJ and CM.
Excellent cross platform content & collaboration. When their games are "ON" would take any of them though I think DJ is slightly stronger at playing the fade.
Great video Chris, if I’m hitting my driver great I struggle with my iron shots and know I understand why. With this lesson I’ll be able to practice on setting my wrist earlier and not swaying my hips which causes me to hit my irons fat most of the time.
Fascinating stuff! Really enjoyed. Just the sort of stuff I like. Unique approach in my opinion? Collin Morikawa is my choice. I can’t understand why Rory can’t get his approach shots closer all the time? Perhaps he ought to come to the Forest of Arden and speak to you lot!
18 months ago I would have said Rory all day long but now it's Morikawa, his motion is almost completely negates the left hand side of the golf course. Awesome.
Been struggling with my irons, swing was long and getting stuck behind as I wasn’t cocking my wrists intentionally. Started cocking my wrists at first parallel and noticed the club was more upright, not getting stuck and shorter. Then I watched your video which nailed it, thank you so much....
I remember seeing Colin Morikawa on the golf channel when they were giving lessons and he was nobody at the time and when I watched the lesson I thought this guy was really good and he’s gonna be somebody one day so I’ve always liked his swing and his attitude, I thought he’s gonna go places. Enjoyed the video like always keep up the good work.😃👍🏌🏼
Hi Chris great video Can help me..... i seem to hit my Irons off the tee Ok as soon as i get to the fairay I seem to top the baal i have a real problem taking a divot HELP it feels like i reach the bottom of my swing and come up too soon with no divot at all
I haven’t watched the MaMG boys since you were a guest on one of their videos and although this was different, was quite informative and quite good... I think I made the right decision in sticking with you... and won’t be going back!
So many questions: Do you have to keep the bend in the arms at impact? Do you time when the weight is in the front leg and then release the club? Do you squat and turn to get to the impact position? How do you transit from back to front swing? Great drills from mamg, but they always leave me with more questions than answers!
Love the drills. My ball striking has really deteriorated. I'm looking forward to use these drills to help. For iron shots I like Morikawa's. For driver I like Rory's. For wedges I would go with DJ's.
I’m working on staying more centered on my backswing, got in the habit of moving off the ball and letting my left heel (geez, even on wedge shots!). Of course, as a result, on the downswing I have to work on staying back. But I feel more (rotational) ground forces, as a result. Compression is better, too.
In the third tip about the pivot , it seems like a reverse pivot , am Sure it is not , could you explain where the pressure would be at the max pivot. I ask as i have a problem of swaying away at take away . Superb content in this video , thanks
Piers was most definitely over emphasising the movement during his drill. If you rehearse the backswing move and pause at the top the weight should feel fairly central, if the weight is on your trail foot you have most likely swayed a little 👍
I over set my wrist witch I'm working on, I think the word lag is a bad incorrect word in the golf swing!! Tiger puts his trail foot slightly back witch takes pressure of his back and left knee!! And allow him to turn more helps produce a draw
Okay. So, three Englishmen walk onto a golf course .. they start to talk .. and I'm certain there is a joke there ..but I had to turn on the close caption to understand what the heck the three of you were saying. :-) On a serious note, if I flatten or bow my wrist at the top .. my thumbs extend and I go from a 90 deg. wrist set to about 60 deg. or less. That's why I wait until I reach about the parallel on the downswing to begin bowing my wrist, it automatically sends the clubhead into the ball for me. Now back to the folks over here being separated from the folks over there by a common language: Did one of you confess to being the Bristol Pusher .. or does everybody generally agree it is Lewis B. at yogscast?
Not special. Just annoying. Those clown shoes spend soooo much time talking. The noise to content ratio is too high for me. They need a script and an editor. It sounds like you sped up their voices. When was the last time you made a 16 minute video?
Not special you're 100% right with that. We do love to talk but just because we care so much about actually helping people. We do need an editor, we are making videos🤷♂️ and we never script anything. Appreciate the feedback though. We will definitely take it on board. Maybe we need some clown shoes for the next video😂
The best crossover golf teaching moment in RUclips in 2020!
Best collaboration of 2020! Piers and Andy are two of my favorites and coupled with you Chris... we need more of this! Thanks a bunch!
Thanks Frederick, certainly great coaches and great guys too 👍
those are the only 2 channels i watch for golf tips!
These guys have really helped my swing and ball striking during lockdown even in my practice net. Thanks guys...
Deer hanging out, listening in, getting some tips! :-)
Photobombing the video!
Be down to scratch in no time 😂😂
Love to see a great co. of elite Coaches on one coaching! Great drills! Thanks.
Thanks
Definitely Collin! Love how simple yet consistent his swing is!
I agree Carl, could rack up some serious win numbers over the coming years
Gotta agree, and simplicity probably equates to longevity too.

Thanks Timo
I dig their attire!
6:51 people! Awesome!
How cool is this?!?! A great golf lesson and an episode of
Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom all wrapped up in one! Well done Gentlemen.
😂😂😂😂always some wildlife on the course at the Forest of Arden, great to see
the animals in the background makes this video even greater than it all ready is! 3 of my favorite youtube coaches in 1 video! great stuff
Thanks Mattie and agreed, always good to see the wildlife 👍
Always love to watch your golf lessons. Even better with MeandMygolf~ Many Thanks!!
Great collaboration- lots of good golf stuff coming from UK.
Thanks William 👍

Love seeing two of my favorite channels collaborating. And for the swing I will take Rory’s.
Thanks Harry we enjoyed filming this one

Thanks Kevin and glad you liked the video. 👍
Excellent easy drills. Love the content, I've been working on the pivot and backswing length. Keep it coming!!!
Another great lesson Chris and really enjoyed the collaboration
Thanks Ulrich glad you liked it
Really appreciate your tips and videos however as a senior golfer I struggle keeping my head down! Would love any advice! Again keep the videos coming
Excellent cross platform content & collaboration. When their games are "ON" would take any of them though I think DJ is slightly stronger at playing the fade.
This is great. Thanks for posting
Morakowa rules! Drills to use!
really good tips. excellent collaboration.
Thanks

Thanks Jerry certainly a challenge to be good with both irons and driver as they do require different deliveries 👍
Fantastic cooperative instructional video , thanks.
Thanks George
Great picture quality as well as three great points towards improving play quality 👍
Thanks Chris

Loved the content well done guys 👍

Hope they help Brian
The super heroes of golf instruction. This is like Superman teaming up with Batman & Robin
Thanks Chris
Great video! I like tommy fleetwoods iron swing:)
Yeah lots do, love watching him hit irons, so much control
Thanks lad's great lesson 👍
Thanks Tony
Great tips Chris
Thanks Brian
Good tips.

O deer thanks Chris nice one👍🏌️♂️
Is ther a drill i can do to hit more don and through and take a divot after ive struck the ball
Course looks nice!!! 👍
Amazing mate! Think that may have been the last hot day of the year though!!
wrist set in bunker shot ? the same flat set or cupped/open face?
A little cupped for a greenside bunker shot works well 👍
I love the DJ drill where he gets his wrist bend early
Chris would these 3 tips apply to the driver backswing?
I’d say tips 1 and 2 could’ve used yes, tip 3 maybe better used on the irons alone 👍
@@ChrisRyanGolf Thank you Chris as always great tips and lessons
Alex Evans would have been so exited about the wildlife 😊
Definitely Rory.

It’s easier to work the ball out of an open wrist than a close wrist only a few people can do it like Dustin Johnson

You won an invitation to my golf course.... 😂 escape from uk ...
Was that a deer running by in the background!
Morikawa
Piers with that microphone sounds kind of like a leprechaun.
Play a game while you at it🙂
WHAT`s UP
DJ
If we're talking irons, it's Colin.
Incredible with his irons!!
Oh deer!
why doesn’t Chris Ryan sound like Chris Ryan in this video?
😂😂afraid I’m not sure I can answer that..... was definitely me 👍
Seems like the you tube babes are attracted to your channel, ha!
Crazy how many spam/bots there are
ChrisRyanGolf - you mean they aren’t golf groupies??
WTF? Let me hang a tree stand.
Maybe a rifle instead of golf clubs could see a nice bit of venison go home with one.
😂😂😂 think I’d probably miss
Is this course on a stag and duck zoo? Lol
