I always thought travelling to The Netherlands just before Christmas was just too much effort for a concert... now I've heard my favourite with live strings and extra 'oomph', I'm really gutted I didn't go! Theatre tour was good, but the next BIG gig WT do with an orchestra, I'm THERE, come hell or high water! Best song, best band (Best when Sharon forgets where she is in the song / words / what day it is! She's just THE best!)
I was at both of their Black X-mas concerts and both of them were awesome. So definete recommendation to go the next time. And just 2 days ago i was at their last concert of their "Resist" tour at the same venue (center stage 2 rows from the front of the podium) .. At one moment i had eye contact threw her a hand-kiss and she mimicted with her hand that she caught it . That was really cool.
I've noticed that their older songs suit her voice much better, she always nails them. The newer ones seem to be to demanding in range for her to pull off live sometimes.
Some songs never sounds good in live version, like Covered by Roses, Final Destination, A Demon's Fate or Tell Me Why, unfortunately... Fortunately they don't play this songs anymore.
