Yeah, "the Power" in the credits goes hard asf. After 188h of my first playthrough, I literally cried after completing the game. BG3 is not without flaws, mind you, but it is a truly wonderful game.
Bro I played as karlach, I romanced gale and let him solo the elder brain. I was heart broken when I saw what happened to Karlach.
First playthrough is enjoying the novelty of the sheer amount of story content, and the varied types of strategies enabled by the engine.
the 2nd is realizing how jank and unpolished fundemental systems in the latter tend to be
Its as close to perfect as ive ever seen a game get. I dont think any game ever will. But BG3 is closest for me
When Jergal did the cheers at the end and the music really kicked in you cannot imagine the amount of joy I felt. I felt like I actually cared about the characters and the story we built together.
Around 150h for me, bawled through the whole thing. Calmed down then cried again when I saw all the team's special thanks to their loved ones. Just hearing the power and thinking about this again makes me tear up

Yeah, it is so beautiful song, and there are 3 versions of it and all of them are so good (1 plays on camp, 1 in Mountain pass and 1 in Lower City)
Gale romance scene accompanied with Wash My Pain Away was the hardest "try not to cry" in a long while for me...
Can't wait till im done with all the romances, Gale and Karlach must be protected... fuck it they all need to be, I love the character writing in this game sm ❤

The music definitely elevated this game above most RPGs

My biggest problem with the Bg3 soundtrack is that it is NOT LONG ENOUGH. I put 160 hours in this game. I finally listened to it all enough it got repetitive. Need another like 10 songs to mix it in.

@SaeroneScean Act 2, during Gale's Romance cutscene (after after being to moonrise towers at least once during his romance route), he will ask you to meet him via a projection in camp. You'll get a cutscene during long rest and get to see his magic if you follow through with his proposition

After a 100+ hour incredible playthrough and a gut wrenching ending, the credits theme hit HARD. sitting 30 minutes listening to that was amazing

Shit my first playthrough was 220hrs. I explored everywhere I could and still missed some things, I read as much as I could (eye strain from bad eyesight made me impatiently skip some books unfortunately).
Found fun encounters and just started havoc and then reloaded my save after I had my fun and did things the way I actually wanted to do.
That and being a loot goblin that scours every corner I can for goodies really stretched my playthrough.
And what did I feel when those credits rolled after 220 hours of gameplay? I wanna do it all over again.
Nothing else even stands a chance of winning GOTY this year.

I really love Astarion's secret song sometimes when im in camp especially in multiplayer waiting for my party to finish what they are doing ill stand behind Astarion's tent and just listen to his song.
Agreed however I feel like that song works perfectly with every origin character including the dark urge and maybe even Tav considering what lore or story you come up for them. Apparently the creators of the song confirmed It was Tav’s theme so

If you search Baldur’s Gate 3 unreleased soundtrack, there’s a guy who’s been releasing every musical clip in the game he can find. Last I checked he’s at over 400, although a lot of them he’s been asking for help where in the game they show uo

Twisted Force is one of my favourite battle tracks in any game

i havent even beaten the game and the credits song hit me and i felt nostalgic for no reason
Genuinely one of the best soundtracks I’ve ever heard. Listening to the credits song and thinking about all the themes and stories explored made the ending hit really hard
In that case I really highly recommend trying out the NieR games.
NieR:Automata and NieR replicant respectively.
Those games imo have the best music in gaming period.
Also story, characters, voice acting, list goes on.
The clown fighting scene is 100% accurate.

The composer said on twitter that he is working on a part two to the soundtrack but he didnt give any idea of release date

Man honestly going into the mountain pass for the first time and looking over the cliffs to the temple and the giant star in the centre of the valley while the music played was one of the most immersive game experiences I've ever had

I haven’t even finished the game and I am already crying from hearing The Power. Music is a long forgotten aspect that make games above and beyond. The graphics can be anything but music is one of if not the biggest things that puts you into that world and makes you feel the way you do 2:51

As someone who doesn't think this game is totally perfect, it's completely maddening to see the media/industry narrative skip over the soundtrack. Yeah, it gets nominated here and there, but this is the best soundtrack of 2023. It makes it even more obvious that people are awarding game of the year just because it's a convenient look for them. For me it's game of the year because:
1. The complexity of the quest and level design
2. Even moreso, co-op integrated with the above
3. Soundtrack
4. Amount of content
5. The developer is committed to polishing it up without any gross monetization
Dream walk is surprisingly a good uplifting music even tho its for explicit moments
