DURGE Bateman & Sarevok leading the slaughter of all of Faerûn for Lord Bhaal. He's a perfect candidate, and this was fantastically well done as always!
I didn't played BG3 yet, but I will, but I think there is a flaw. If Cyric is still alive, he fits better the insanity of Patrick Bateman and he's also is (or was? didn't played BG3) a Lord of Murder since he killed Bhaal and aquired his sphere of influence. Anyway, there is no Patrick Bateman in Faerun, so it's just about fitting of Patrick Bateman. And we all know that he just want to fit in.
@@exception05 This is why you should play the game before you speculate. BG3 takes place over a century after BG2, and not only is there no indication that Cyric still retains any significant power at all, rather it's quite the opposite to that. There's only one obscure murderous entity who makes reference to being a follower of Cyric in the entire game, meanwhile Bhaal and the other dead three have full control over their respective domains again. As those no longer fall under Cyric's sphere of influence at all, there's no flaw in this portrayal as you had incorrectly assumed.

It helps that one of the elf faces for original characters look exactly like him as well. I remember in the early access I did a full 1st act run through where I made Patrick Bateman both in spirit and looks. Such a good concept.

So much so, that I make him my Dream Visitor for every new run I do in order to honor him. This game was made to be explored and people are doing themselves a disservice by not exploring the evil path at least once.
A lot of "gamers" these days are soft, I cannot imagine how someone can be so delusional as to actually feel remorse or similar bullsh*t when playing an evil character. Patrick banging whilst his party watch and Astarion just giving the most “what are you doing?“ face with Patrick pointing is just beautiful.
