Digging Slovenia

Part II of my recent European rally trip. With Tim "Ringmaster" Saylor and George "KG" Wyant, we visit the country of Slovenia with our hosts, Jani and Simone of Nomadis Detectors. We attend a hastily-organized rally that is hoped to be the first of future ones. The next day, we had the chance to dig relics and coins from a Slovenian vineyard.

Beside the Bled island there are two river islands: Castle Otočec and old part of town Kostanjevica na Krki. There used to be two sea islands as well, but were conected to the coast: Koper and Izola.

Just for your information, unauthorised use of metal detectors or any kind of unautorised excavation of historical artefacts is higly prohibited in Slovenija. It is only allowed for experts of national institutions and even then by a careful consideration of expert commities.
