    I love Orlais and most of all it's over the top interior. I know it's kind of intentional but Orlais, and especially the nobles game, reminds strongly of Versailles in the time of it's glory. Every time I see Halam Shiral's winterpalace or any chateau like Chateau d'Onterre, I gasp. I take dozens of screenshots of those places. :P Damn diffictult place to live, but damn beautiful!

    It shouldn't be a surprise that noble titles and their ranking in Orlais are exactly those used in France before the revolution. As someone who's familiar with such titles, I found it much easier navigating Orlais' politics than that of other nations in Thedas, including Ferelden.

    The Dowager is great. I like the husband that died in a "violent tailoring accident". I'm just imagining a tailor stabbing him with scissors over and over and when someone walks in, he's like "He fell on my scissors. Repeatedly. So clumsy,", while still bent over the corpse.
    Also, you said that elves in Tirashan worship the Forbidden Ones. I know it was an honest mistake but someone might not.

    • @makingnoise3931

      Quick fan theory: could the dwarves be the "flesh" of the titans, while lyrium their blood? That's why dwarves are sort of immune to lyrium, since they are in a way "biocompatible"?? Also Sandal Feddic may be like... part of a titan's brain... so he knows stuffs and can manipulate lyrium better?
      So long ago as the elves warred among each other, they thirsted for more power to fuel their magic so slayed the titans and mined their bodies for lyrium (the blood - like blood magic). The titan's shattered bodies... stone-like actually became the dwarves, hence the dwarves worship and are said to have come from and will come back to "the stone". And somehow, one day the dwarves will merge again to form the titans and get revenge on the ancient elves which Solas would command... *sizzling tinfoil*
      If you actually read and enjoy this, Ghil, lmk. Got more fan theories I'd love to share lol. :]

    This is an amazing video! However, there is one fact that confuses me. In Inquisition, you meet The Dowager, Lady Mantillion, like you said. However, if you read “The Masked Empire” Briala kills Mantillion to avenge her parents. Soooo… why is Mantillion at the Winter Palace? She’s supposed to be dead! Someone clear this up for me, I’m so confused!

    As a Frenchman I approve. Vive Orlais. The French Equivalent in Warhammer is good, but I'm glad Dragon Age chose to go a more Renaissance France for the inspiration of Orlais. French Baroque is the best architectural style in Europe.

    Since Orlais is the Dragon Age version of France, is there going to be a spin-off of the common folk starting a revolution against the Nobles, abolishing the monarchy and nobility system and turning the Empire into a Republic?
    Speaking of which, since Fereldan is the Dragon Age version of Britain, will there be a spin-off game of Fereldan becoming a steampunk empire and colonized countries outside of Thedas’ borders like a forest island of people with Fox Ears and Tails called Meiji (Dragon Age Japan), a snowy country called Polath (Dragon Age Russia) which is north to a continent east of Thedas that is home to the gnomes, a tropical isle of Merfolk that’s just as ancient as the Elven Empire called Mulantis (Dragon Age Atlantis) and a tropical desert south of the eastern continent that’s home to various tribes of Djinn (blue skinned elves), Efreet (red skinned orcs), Colossi (grey skinned Minotaur) and Cait Sith (humanoids with cat ears and tails)

    • @LeonGun8
      @LeonGun8 6 лет назад +1

      Good question. It's possible the lions went extinct or are incredibly rare due to Blights. A good chunk of Orlais is trainted with Blight, just like most of the Anders and south Tevinter. And well, most of central Thedas is tainted too. I imagine many animals went extinct during the first Three Blights, especially the first and second Blights.

      @GhilDirthalen  6 лет назад +3

      I did! I would put money on it being fake, and if it's not, the information is so early in the production process its bound to change a whole bunch. Overall, fake or real, if it somehow got made into a game, I think it would be shit game.
      But Salos x Laevllan 5evr.

    • @nicolecline8584
      @nicolecline8584 6 лет назад +1

      Same. Though I'll admit, there were a few details I would like to be in the game. Blood magic and companion/world reaction to it, racism to non-human companions/player character, seeing Dorian/Fenris/Zevran, little things like that. And I'd LOVE getting to see Antiva, Seheron, and the Anderfells, not gonna lie, but I won't get my hopes up. Fingers crossed we're actually going to Tevinter! lol
      The story points just seem to fanfic-esque to be true. But I am expecting the Inquisitor to still be an important secondary character and I'll be very interested to see how the whole Solas x Lavellan situation pans out (though, I doubt Solas will be the main antagonist til either the end of DA4 or DA5).
      Thank you very much, btw!

      considering what was happening at the end of Inquisition i can see the Anderfels being part of the new game and I want to see tevinter and seheron maybe narvara, oh and i want to see this other dwarf city(can't remember name but wasn't it the old capital before it was moved. it would be nice to do that corner of the world, weren't they planing on doing five games so doing the north-west for the fourth makes senses to me and have the next one in the northeast.
      just my thoughts on what I want, but mainly tevinter i want to see the city that's never been conquered with its black stone and dragon designs it would be the most out of their city to visit in thedas
