People don’t realize how hard these athletes have to train to be this GREAT...it’s a lot of work. I respect Bolt and Phelps when they say their done...they’re just done

Simone Biles will make a judgement call at the Tokyo Olympics about her mind and body because she loses herself in the air on vault and its dangerous and everyone will call her a quitter, "not the goat" and not trust her judgement despite knowing this skill since she was 12 and it being highly dangerous if she loses positional sense in the air. And PTSD or sexual abuse isn't an "excuse" either bc she should have known before the Olympics and not gone so someone else could go.
Oh and Djokovic will pull out of his doubles bronze medal match minutes after losing his singles bronze match (costing his teammate a medal) citing "mental and physical exhaustion" but that will be called "smart bc he doesn't want to cause an injury for the upcoming US Open". He's also "still the goat bc of all previous accomplishments" but 5 days later ppl will STILL be saying Biles has a quitters mentality so isn't the goat bc "she can't handle the pressure" despite her 30 medals and not losing ANY competition since 2013.

Yes athletes can't have much life if they training all the time. Phelps can't raise a family if he is competing till he is 40. These host don't understand that

He’s outgrown the competition. He’s maturing well. Very happy for him.

Phelp is never in any kind of competition. The other swimmers are competing for the silver when he is in the pool.
Well, that's not 100% true, he has been beaten several times even in his strongest events. Paul Biedermman, 200 freestyle Rome 2009; Chad le Clos, 200 butterfly London 2012; Joseph Schooling, 100 butterfly Río 2016. And now two of his World records have been smashed by Caeleb Dressel and Kristof Milak. He was the greatest swimeer because of the amount of medals he got in the Olympics, but wasn't the most dominant in his events.

I hope he and his wife just let the kids find their own athletic endeavor and take it from there. Waaaay too much pressure to have another up and coming swimmer in the house to try and replicate even a part of dad's success.

I stopped watching anything but DVDs probably 30 years ago, bc the commercial hype at 10,000db made me crazy and the constant narcissistic banter on news show drove me crazy. If I somehow got into the clutches of North Korea, all they would have to do to make me kill myself is to play Kelly Ripa’s gawd-awful sick obsequiousness on loop for 30 minutes. I’d hurl myself off of any 12 story building there. And they’re ALL that bad. So now I’m watching this, and this diabolical trio nearly made me hurl. What a total load of crap, begging Phelps to compete again....how did he not vomit??? I’ll never watch anything from this channel again.
