- 'La mer' a song by Charles Trenet - After 'Le vent nous portera' and 'Voyage Voyage' another wonderful French song; 'La Mer' was published in 1946 right after the Second World War, it was a huge success and was also translated into several languages such as English, German and even Russian. It was also used as a soundtrack in many movies through the decades.. it is a wonderful song that makes my mind dance over the clouds.. and I really love the sea so it's the perfect summer song for me!!
