Great tool, very nice design. I'm using the bosch glm 50-27 cg with a green laser, very robust tool and Bluetooth connectivity. But this mileseey looks better, touchscreen, a lot of functions. But I want more info on the thermal imaging tool. 👍👍👍👍
These things are really neat. Since a lot of them probably use the same/similar sensing module, I'm wondering how well the extra design effort put into this one overcomes the limitations I've seen in others. Is it better in bright sunlight? Can that "1/1000 ft" resolution reliably pick out the thickness of a credit card added to a target near the end of the range? (To be fair, even a metal tape that long might easily stretch by more than that).

That ‘lil Leica rangefinder you have there is a serious piece of kit.
I used a Leica Disto A5 for a lot of years, working on Broadway show tours. Pricey, I'll admit, but extremely accurate and darn near bulletproof.
Interesting tool thanks for sharing your expertise Doc
Please do a follow up because it seems like this has a lot more features but it’s hard to tell if they’re actually functional and accurate or not
Looks nice. Wonder how robust it is to dropping from a ladder or roof.
All they need to do now is add a thermal camera to it.

lmao, using "iphone class" as a compliment is laughable
Well, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra titanium just doesn’t roll off the tongue.

Beyond my pay grade……
I like the hilti laser measurer. I believe they either made in Switzerland or Germany.
Made in China actually.
