Welcome to the OI Club how OI are ya?

OI!
Fun fact: in Australia there are 48 million kangaroos, and in Uruguay, there are 3,457,480 inhabitants, so if the kangaroos decide to invade Uruguay, every Uruguayan will have to fight 14 kangaroos
as someone whos uruguayan i take this as a motive to start preparing
But how many Emus does it have?
they stand no chance
All hail emutopia
Training Emu's seems like a good idea because kangaroos are terrifying! Once they want to wallop you.
Virgin Phone Guy vs. Chad Radio Bogan
hello mr sorrow
This is the last place I would've expected to see that mask at.

No fooken way
Great to see you're still around, mate, hope you're doing alright
As an Aussie, these Aussie accents are hilarious. Not quite bad, not quite good lol. Gets the vibe good enough tho
I'm not Australian but I knew the accents were a bit off 😭 It sounded like it was country in some parts too
The rather excessive use of colloquialisms also screams someone trying too hard to sound Australian rather than just being Australian. I am reminded of people who want to sound more "English," so they put on a bad Cockney accent because there is no mistaking Cockney as "English," despite few Englishmen actually speak like Cockneys.
Its texas accent btw
Admittedly most accents aren’t my strong suit but it was still a lot of fun to do! Still practicing, Kyle who ran the project and some other devs on the game are Australians, I’m one of the few Americans.
As long as people are entertained I’m satisfied.
@@MistaBrandoVA thank you for gifting us funny voice lines mate :)
Thinking about it, the amount of lethal and bizarre animals that come from Australia, it seems like the perfect place for horror inspirations lmao
I dont see what changed in the game relative to real Australia tho
Australia is the reason a .50 BMG Ratshot was invented, due to unusually sized rodents
Or just put them in normal Australia.
I'm honestly surprised that I haven't seen a horror game about the Great Emu War if I remember right.
the platypus is literally an irl chimera
Also there was that thief simulator where rarely a kangaroo comes in
its funny because everyone talks up australia's deadly wildlife, but as an australian - bears and mountain lions and coyotes sound much scarier because what do you even do if you encounter one?
Didn't expect Manly to start playing Non-fiction games. Cool to see a documentary about the outback in game format!
Ever heard of a game called Straya? It's to stalker as this is to iron lung (or best equivalent at least)
If Manly simply titled "Horror Game where you visit Australia" tells me everything I need to expect when watching this video.
200th like because you deserve it.
240th like cause you're awesome.
317th like because I'm not popular enough to stay off the bandwagon.
335th like
Or just "Game where you visit Australia"
I think Manly forgot he had limited Thermal Vision.
so there was a thermal function then was starting to wonder about that
Manly kinda just goes through games like this without thinking lmao
Surprised there’s not a lot of spider horror games based in Australia, it’s horrifying
Twerking spiders are not horryfing.
Yeah their spiders are so huge. I know the most common one can't poison you or Anything. But they can bite and are like small crabs. No thank you.
or a shark horror
@@capscaps04Ever heard about spider season?
Thanks for checking out our game! I voiced Dr. Merrick, it’s surreal to finally hear my voice in a video game lol.
The team has been working hard on this and another title for so long and its wonderful to see more people playing it!
It's a lil cringe but so far promising
Yo u did a really good job!!👍
You all did great!
wow mate it was definitely one of the voice acting mate even if all i could hear was mate, mate, it was very interesting good job mate
Oi, mate
So far the game looks very promising, but sometimes the notes you find around use a very poetic language and subjective adjectives, which doesn't help to make them look like scientific reports and researches
The writing was probably done by an AI
Yeah they do like to stroke their own ego abit
@@shmillbe3390 Just a few strokes now and then never hurt anybody!
Iirc; its a parody, so it used some not so serious writing.
Manly is always so quiet but his videos are always so fun, i cant understand that
maybe it's because over the years he's built himself a character, manlybadasshero is manlybadasshero, and he's always been manlybadasshero, and we love him for that.
Probably because he’s more genuine than most creators nowadays
I hate those shouting, exaggerating and over acting gaming streamers.
By watching manly's content, i learnt that you don't need to say things if there's nothing good to say (as in speaking gibberish or nonsense to break the silence like most letsplay ytbers do)
For me, his calm voice adds to the atmosphere of the games, like the liminal pool space game.
Based solely on the monster design from the thumbnail, I was surprised to see this wasn't a Zed Tech game clicking onto the video and seeing the author's name.
Bwhahaha, I know exactly what you mean!!!
Mistake number 1:
You went to Australia
Everybody knows only Australians can be in Australia and survive with ease
@@blacktemplar1139 True
"- Game Where You Visit Australia -"
Its enough to make grown man turn pale.
He went to the Land Down Under
Where Joeys strike and Magpies plunder
Can’t he hear, can’t he hear the “THUNDER”
HE BETTER RUN, HE BETTER TAKE COVER
*flute noises*
I saw a man in Alice
He was 6'4 and built like a palace
I said "do you speak'a my language?"
He just smiled and knocked me out in that moment!"
To anyone else, this is a creepy expedition into pitch-black darkness with unspoken horrors out to eat your heart.
But to an Aussie this is just Tuesday evening dealing with those roo-roo ass sheilas again
Sometimes, you just need the right setting to make a familiar horror concept work. Unsurprisingly, Australia fits the bill. This was a good time, the right balance of silly and scary.
I like the atmosphere that the game conveys. it's similar to games where you control a drone, but in this one you're inside a drone. This recon transport creates the illusion of security, separating you from the unknown horror that reigns on the other side of the skin. And then you find the skeletons of other similar transports and realize that you're not safe at all. Very similar to the horrors about submarines only on the ground. The feeling of being inside this thing is also well conveyed, these swaying movements, newspaper-covered windows and orientation only by external cameras. By the way, I did not fully understand the control: are you in full control of the movement or can you only move forward and backward, and the vehicle turns automatically?
the game Iron lung is kinda like this one, Many played it before too
You have full control of the camera but the movement is on rails.
Great, as if Australia didn't already have enough nightmare fuel
So this be the Australian cryto?
We ain't that bad, although you need to watch out for eshays, the little scumbags
Smart enough to build a giant RV research vessel which is self-driving, automatically detects anomalies and which has sophistocated analysis capabilities, but still needed to kidnap and imprison someone in it to... pull a lever? Fun little game, but the reason for the guy being kidnapped is pretty dumb if you stop to think about it for a moment.
Surprisingly very realistic in terms of the animals. Sad that one thing was forgotten. That being the Drop Bear. Then again there was not that much trees in the game so that could explain why it was not in this game. ( But I still find it odd that one was not encountered.. But I guess the maker of the game was just a bit too focused on one specific animal. Oh well. Side note.. That dead worm/snake was not a iron lung reference. Those things while rare they do exist in Australia and can be found sometimes in less populated areas. They are technically an invasive species as they where originally from a different country. )
I guess the creator was trying to avoid the stigma of drop bear being horrific, child-eating monsters, especially as they employ a similar defense tactics to their distant North American possum cousins. IE, they show off their big scary carnivore teeth in an attempt to ward off any would be attackers, but are surprisingly "docile"... unless you're a bird, bug, lizard, or particularly small/old/sick koala. Granted, this doesn’t mean they won't bite if pushed hard enough, but if it gets to that point, you probably deserved it.
finally, an accurate game about my people!!
It does very clearly wear its influence on its sleeve pretty overtly. But I think it did enough to differentiate itself to be more than just a spoof or fangame sort of thing.
There was clearly a bit of interesting lore built into the thing and it is a unique enough spin on the concept to be its own thing. The Australian outback is also not a place you see a lot of horror content made about, some certainly but nowhere near the number of such pieces of fiction as say all the campgrounds in the New England Wilderness areas.
I also think it was fairly well made for what it was. The jump scare ending was fairly predictable but I think if you wanted to taking this game as proof of concept you could certainly make a longer more meaty experience out of it.
Wasn't there supposed to be thermal vision? It was mentioned at the beginning but I don't think manly used it
I felt like Manly might have missed out a lot of stuff, but then again the fact he hasnt used the Thermal Vision thing. Bas gaslit me into thinking it doesnt exist, with how much manly ignores or doesnt know about it lmao
I love how manly didn't use the thermal view even once
As a true blue myself
I can confirm that the kangaroos do look like this irl (if you drink some grog)
Honestly, a game like this would be an amazing horror co-op where you have to have someone watch your 6 as things sneak up on you or lurk in the shadows behind you, so the guy driving doesn't see too much too often while the guy in the back has to like... flash shit real fast to scare things away; however, you can't flash too often because that brings unwanted attention.
18:18 I can't believe that actually got me.
It really had to be Australia
Hoping for big spiders
Nah, spiders are pretty tame in comparison to the drop bears
Drop….bears….?
@@yamoyato4263 my thoughts exactly 💀
@@Marrow29… The Wat?
@@yamoyato4263yeah they're one of the biggest killers in aus, highly territorial. if you've ever been here you've probly seen the signs up
As if the outback at night wasnt scary enough. Those things really got the drop on you. youd think theyd add drop bears.
It is kinda funny in that saddening way that while the game and Iron Lung end the same, the kangaroo mutant isn't a stupid JPEG moving at you rapidly.
Where is your profile picture from?
iron lung looks much better than this
both is mid
18:15 bro really went "H U H?"
As a True Blue Aussie myself living on my uncles ranch herding cattle and chasing after my sheila, I can say that everything depicted in this game is accurate to the real country.
The heavyhanded amount of "mate" everywhere LMFAOOOO
yeah nah, the first 2 mins of dialogue straight up made me lose it as an aussie 💀💀💀 amazing/10
It took me 15 minutes to figure out you were in the thing the cameras are on! I thought at first the front camera was a rover your sending in and the back camera was the camera on your shelter lol then when I saw the back camera scenery change I thought they were BOTH a rover you sent out for recon! Then 10 seconds before we see the other vehicle like yours but torn in half, I saw the scenery shake and realized it was your “RV” the whole time
This was a really cool little game, but what is the point of the two seats/wheels/cameras?
A single seat fills the same purpose especially with an option to switch between cameras. This also means that you would actually want to react to motion detected by checking behind you rather then just ignore it. It is an extra step that never pays off.
To compare this to Iron Lung, the incentive to walk across the sub was things were invisible. To see you needed to do this. It created anticipation. Especially with the alien sights you see this meant you don't know what to expect. Walking across the RV to see earth things doesn't have this.
Don't get me wrong, this was a neat little game.
It would be much better if the mechanics fit together or accomplished something because you're left with elements that are both walking sim and sitting sim in turn feeling like most of it is padding.
For an Iron Lung clone this sure has more lore lol
Honestly I do prefer Steel Roamer over the game it was parodying, it’s more scary and it’s monster design is quite chilling in the dark and eerie environment
I always thought that making a horror game set in Australia after seeing the movie Razorback could be possible and this proves it.
I'm surprised there haven't been more horror games with Australian themes/settings. Also, props for the Icehouse reference. :)
Australia night is as bad as a literal blood moon, noted
finally a media that shows the true horrors of kangaroos
LOVING the obscure Icehouse reference... amazing. You always make me smile Manly :)
Halfway through this and I feel like you forgot a mechanic entirely, though admittedly the game never explained how to use it. The audio clearly tells you to use the "thermal vision" to see things in the dark. Which is why I think you missed almost everything happening. Unless the audio just lied about you actually having FLIR. But the camera even had a battery power bar for it that never dropped.
The super mario 64 Font at the credits scene
I was actually hoping this would give us one of *Australia's* mythical monsters - likely a yowie a bunyip giving the roaring, but with the distant figure we saw I was really hoping for the kinie ger. You barely ever hear anyone talk about the kinie ger.
Seeing there was only just a giant undead ratman was actually disappointing.
Considering how alstraulia lost to emu...i was hoping for seeing emu running at high speed carrying guns
COD: The Great Emu War
brother how did u fuck up typing australia that bad
As someone who's learning English, the accent was the most horrifying monster in this video
Is it because the Aussie accent is weird in general? Or because the accent is… not good?
"No- Roo!"
Definitely the best moment in the game
Now i want an emu horror game.
It must be horror strategy wargame.
@@alexkatc59
Tower defence against ravaging Emu war parties!
If they get through the fence, it's game over, cobber!
Impressive how manly beat the game without using the thermal vision and never looking up and down
Funny a new game called "STRAYA" just came out. I think it's based on 1960s Australia you go around getting money for animals and just surviving i guess
Amusing gameplay, manly. What a time. Manly vid before bed!!
Not sure if you know but the full version of The Heilwald Loophole is out, thought you might like to play it since you played the demo on the channel. Also as a fellow Australian I love that even though this game is a parody it's still pretty accurate, the road signs are spot on. Maybe I'm just amused by small things
As an American that’s immigrated to Australia, can confirm that this game is true to reality
Managed to survive/evade the Drop Bears I see! Good on you! That said I am not from Australia but I know all about it.. ( I am Japanese just in-case you want to know. )
@@UndyingZombie It certainly wasn’t easy; lost a good mate in the process of escaping and everything
You dealt with carnivorous mutated Kangaroos as well?
@@richardpulido4624 fraid those are native only to northern queensland
quite strange of them to call this a “horror game” when it’s just an accurate stimulation of everyday life in Australia.
honestly surprised more people arent talking about the atmosphere this game creates while still being in familiar-ish territory. here your out and about in the australian wilderness in some excuse of a vessel. not trapped in a metal coffin at the bottom of an alien blood ocean. not even stuck at the bottom of a regular ocean. out on land where humans are most viable. and yet this game still makes you feel uneasy at this. your given descriptions and vague images of horrors your probably going to come across in this. and it gives me vibes of a death march. you know their out there. you know your gonna run into those things. you just _know_ your gonna have to deal with them at some point while your going down this route. the pitch-black sky and overall limited vision only barely given to you by your rv's headlights... honestly might just be the primal fear of being stuck out in the wilderness with only a campfire to give light and knowing theirs hungry. predatory eyes staring at you from the distant darkness. only afraid to come close because of the very light source that allows you to see... certainly a scenario some horror games should take note of.
A new video from Manly, my day is not so sad after all!
This just seems like an average australian night.
I was tired but the moment I heard "Australia" my neurons activated. As an Australian, the Australian accents killed me. 10/10
Ah, yes, just another normal day in the upsidedown land
At first glance of the thumbnail I thought it was another game by the creator of "Man in the Window" 😅
Glad it's not just me 😭
didn't they say there was a thermal camera in this game...?
neat lil game though, and always a pleasure to hear Manly!
This is what it's like living in Macroom.
Disappointed that manly wasn’t inspired by that impeccable Australian accent to commentate the rest of the video in an Aussie accent as well.
How do they say "ANIME" in that accent?
I’m surprised no one’s made analog horror for Australia
Yay, a Manly vid before bed!
"A horror game about Astralia."
*That IS scary*
The sounds from the RV and the sound for the camera looking around was actually putting me to sleep til I heard "lifeform detected" and fr my eyes opened at the same time as he let go of the lever so I got an eye opening sound effect
My mind wandered to the horror if Kangaroo Jack
As an Aussie, I don't think I've ever heard anyone here call it an RV. It's a camper. A camper van.
Iron Lung *+*
The Wild Thornberrys *x*
FNAF *=*
_Steel Roamer_
The design from thumbnail remind me of that one game where you're a mantis who build a bridge off squirrel bodyparts.
‘Flowers 🌸 gap’ LOL 😂that’s nice little riff on pines gap. I wonder if the dev will make a game exploring the equivalent to ‘Kalkajaka the Black Mountain’ or something. I’d actually love to see that. 😅
australia mentioned lets gooooooooo *gains slight psychic damage from the accents that feel like a yank voiced them but I can't be certain*
So cool that is the perfect game where you have to move a vehicle. Australia seems like the place to go to if you want this happening to you
As an Australian I confirmed this happens everybday
Also a Australian, i can confirm we also get terroised by Kangaroo's at night while we mind our business.
You'd think an Aussie would set their mates up with some firearms or some sort of doovalacky for self-defense if they're so sick of these critters messing up their trips.
patrolling the Australian wasteland makes you wish for a pissmas miracle
Man, this is so crikeycore. I wish Australia was real.
The lore here is really good. I see potential in this
There should be more aultralia horror
Beware the drop bears mate.
I think the massive creature at 15:40 may actually be a dead Mongolian death worm, it was briefly mentioned at the start, though it is very fishlike appearance wise, so it could be either an iron lung reference or a deathworm, maybe both, not entirely sure.
Alternate title "A normal drive in Australia where everything that happens is better than actually driving in Australia probably"
also didnt it say right away you have thermal cams but never told us how to use them ?
Wtf was that a remote controlled SUV you were supposed to be driving?
Man i wonder what you missed in the darkness because you didnt use the thermal camera
“Game where you visit Austra-“
Nope.
the mario 64 font is always so surreal to me when it pops up lol
Steel roamer, iron lung. well there is a saying, "Copying is the highest form of flattery." It was nice to see some Australian cryptids get some attention.

@@HandsomePutin thanks grammar is not my strong point.
I'm glad you loved the game! Iron Lung is definitely scarier, tho. 😮
So it’s a horror game where you visit Australia. Well, that explains the Aussie accents. It makes it so funny when you think about it.
0:05 AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH wait that’s not the scary part?
Main character: *is Australian, wakes up in RV*
My brain for some reason: Oooh my god Sniper from Tf2
I don't see a problem around this situation, its just another typical day in australia
Please play fear & hunger, I just watched it and it's so difficult, would like to see how you play through it!
Hey so I actually know the guy who made this, I'm in a TAFE course with him. The voice actor for the radio guy is actually one of our teachers lol
So we both had the same reaction to the first "life form detected." We both looked up from what we were doing and flew into the stratosphere when we jumped
15:40 clearly thats the bones of the legendary blue eyes white dragon
