  • Welcome to the penultimate video on the wonderful Arma Hobby Hurricane Iic in 1:48. I was going to combine this into 1 episode with the weathering but I thought people may get more from more explanation and detail on how to spray markings, and weather a desert aeroplane so that will be the focus of the final part.

    Dear Jamie,
An excellent plan for painting roundels! The result, as you say, is most satisfying- decals have depth and this detracts from the realism. I won’t decal RAF markings any longer.
    Impressive work!
    Regards,
    Z

I’m really enjoying this build and it helps hugely when I come to build one. On a general note; I love the gentle ‘spa music” in the background I find the whole experience very restful and a complete joy. Thanks so much for it.

I just discovered the channel and I love it! I'm new to airbrushing (two models so far) and watching you really helps a lot! cheers

Utterly brilliant, Jamie. But I have to wrap my head around these paint masks. Going to rewatch this to try to sort out the process of putting on and taking off the various segments to get the roundel painted correctly. It’s too easy to get the positions slightly off or get overspray that will be a nightmare to fix. I think I’ll try it on a cheap kit first. 😀 Maybe start with hinomaru to build up confidence. 😅

Are you going to do a special on the Silhouette printer - it looks a natty piece of kit - worth the cost in your humble? Still speechless on the finish you and your peers get on your kits - head and shoulders above most of the internet!

What software/hardware did you use to create the masks?

Morning Jamie. Not sure if you are still at home or back in the desert, what is the material you used to make the marking masks? Only reason I ask, is Santa was good to me, and brought me a Silhouette cutter 😇. Unfortunately he forgot to bring the masking material. 😂 HNY when it arrives, wherever you may be. Regards Gordo

Back in the desert mate, I brought my man flu back with me! I use Oramask 810 but I've just tried Ammo Yellow (Kabuki) masking sheets and it works well.

I don’t know why all decals arn’t like this. Car kits have them for the logos on the side of the tyres. You rub them on then peel off the film
