Holly (Audrey Hepburn) meets Paul ( Fred Baby :) ) for the first time in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
My Favorite part in this one is when she is brushing her teeth, shoe was in the plant, and woke up in a tuxedo shirt!

Can we just appreciate the cats acting for a moment.
Hahaha
Gema Sanchez 😻
The cat was amazing!!!
Gema Sanchez I hated the end, cuz I cried how she dump her cat, and went back but I broke in tears
Gema Sanchez hahahah, was the first thing I notice.
❤😻
for a second I thought she was going to put the cat in the fridge
LITERALLY SAME
Shiiit me three 😅
And then she pulls the shoes out... I lost it.
same
Yes, well when you wake up, your bones are all like cracking, you are all grumpy... You just wanna put Cat in the fridge.
For the people commenting that she woke up in a full face of makeup and nice hair. She said she typically doesn’t sleep at all on a Wednesday so for all we know she could’ve fallen asleep a few hours or even an hour before this. So her hair is still nice. Plus her chattiness with a stranger could be because she’s still slightly drunk! You have to put a little imagination to this 😅
Still to look that good on a few hours sleep and hungover too?
There needs to be a law against that
@@ohwell94 You keep forgetting that it's a movie.
@@spiceupyourlife7755 omg even so
You can just see AH doing the same exact thing
@Edit Name, I like everything you said. You hit it straight on. :-) And can we not just enjoy the ride. Cinematic loveliness!
Ya, and New Yorkers buzz strangers into their building without even asking on the intercom who it is... and then without hesitation you let a strange man into your apartment to use your phone. That's a stretch of the imagination.
The cat deserves an oscar hahaha
If that cat would have jumped on a guest in my house the way he jumped on George Peppard I would have shouted... Bad Kitty! Bad Kitty!!
@@jackanthony976 that poor kitty was 16 during the time of his death, poor old slob...
THE CAT WAS CALLED "Orangey Minerva" HE LIVED TO THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 17 AND I HAVE THE GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER OF ORANGEY ON MY LAP HAS i WRITE THIS : ) shes 13 years old and responds to the film when the cat meows. mad eh : ) Sadly ive haD HER DONE AND IT MIGHT BE THE END OF THE LINE CONSIDERING HOW LONG MOST CATS LIVE TO (WHICH ISNT LONG) IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS RELATIVES ON THIS CATS LINE PLEASE DROP ME A MESSAGE
Awwwww@@ScoopDogg
Well, there's the Patsys (tho now defunct), the American Humane's Pawscars and PETA's Oscats.
I’m glad they casted Audrey and not Marilyn. Something about Audrey is so much more quirky and down to earth.
Totally agree
They were gonna cast Marilyn for this movie?
@@dreamy664 The novelis want Marilyn Monroe
Shook shishtar Yes. The writer thought of Marilyn when he created Holly Golightly. He got disappointed when Paramount casted Audrey Hepburn instead
Cute innocent & radical
Those earplugs are simply fabulous
They look like earrings
They are tassel earrings i think
@@chevxi no they’re ear plugs
Right??? Never seen such beautiful earplugs..
I used to have those.
Not gonna lie Audrey Hepburn never lost her beauty even in old age
She is hardly old here
Johana Bursíková I think they meant later in life and I agree. There are photos of her at a later age where you could still see how gorgeous she once was even when she smoked a lot throughout the years.
That's because she died young
She's freaking 32 here, you goon
Brutal honesty
WTF this is from 1961 and almost looks HD.
+M1989 That's what I said when I bought the blu-ray version for this rip... I was like what the... lol. Don't know how they did it, maybe they reprocessed and formatted the film again.
What do you think people were watching in cinemas back then? If the film reel is well preserved, the quality can be way better than 1080p
VainVenator Awesome, if only all old movies were well preserved.
+VainVenator Man, as a person from this age, I don't think I can fully comprehend that idea. I've always believed that as time progresses, quality of image improves, and so you see something from decades before and you would think the quality would be worse then compared to now.
Maybe its the film because it's normally the tv itself or whatever that is bad quality so since they resell it (can't spot the word but like what Star Wars do I guess) they sold it again and again (upgrading from VHS to DVD) means they're using the same film just in a different more advanced format... idk that's my theory because the sound is still seems quite sixties because of the microphones but yea it's wasn't digital soo... again idk just a theory A FILM THEORY aaaand cutq
Thanks to this scene everytime I see a cat in the street I say
"poor slob, poor slob without a name"
Irk why this made me laugh so hard
😹😹Lol. Because of this scene every time I find something that's been missing I say "there you are you sneak"
And whenever I walk thru an alley, I always yell "Cat?!? Cat!!"
i love the personality she's portraying. she is an amazing actress oh my. fave scene
+Vivian Tang DITTO ;)
+Vivian Tang You should watch Ben-Hur (1959), the restoration they did for Blu-ray is incredible in clarity for movie of its age.
Vivian Tang she said it was the hardest role of her life since it's so opposite her natural nature
She is timeless.
Couldn't hold a candle to Katherine Hepburn
Took me a while to notice that the 'couch' was actually one half of a bath tub. XD
Charlie gonna do that when I live on my own
It's the first time I noticed lol
she was like 32 here, looks 21
Yeah, you're right she does. Must be good genetics. I kind of wonder how she would have looked like later in life if she didn't smoke consistently.
msjuicy no offence but not to other people lol if it makes you feel good, tho
i dont know how old are u to say so but 30 old is very young person thats why u look young at 30 old - im 32 this year and when i met new people they ask me if im lik 19 or 20 old cos thats how u look at 30 - its young age , it only sounds old for teenage kids , human look dont even chasnge at all between 20-30 , dont age that fast ,most people look same for these 10 years
Anne s personally I like her 60's look than the rest
omg thank you lol. so trueee. i'm in my early twenties and some people are like, really? your age doesn't appear you look good. i'm like are u serious? humans don't really change that fast i always cringe when i hear things like that.
A trained cat. Amazing.
+mspixiedust100 ...and a ginger
when I saw this for the first time I was shocked at how handsome George Pepperd was when he was younger.
Jakeb Arturio Braden. I keep expecting him to say I love it when a plan comes togather. Lol
He underplays so nicely. Giving her a chance to act the person she is playing.
This is his breakthough roles.. audrey hepburn always got an older hot looking hero... lewl except in sabrina.
@@samjones4451 ya considering she's an introvert playing an extrovert person that was way too challenging
Same!!! I only knew him as Hannibal Smith 😅
It always makes me laugh that Paul came to use the phone but then Holly makes him forget all about it and practicly enchants him in 5 minutes 😁 love this movie
Audrey does have that effect on people
The most realistic scene in the history of cinema
cafecon2 Yes it is! Especially how she woke up so dishoveled and was trying to find her shoes
cafecon2 Except she woke up with immaculate makeup on her face and her hair wasn't messy.
+Someone Else Very true, I was more so talking about how she's so scatter brained and and the run all the time,. But that's a good observation that I didn't notice, my hair would be like a rats nest!
+Someone Else Yes
i thought it wasnt. random guy rings the bell for a phone and she starts talking and he walks around talking with her not weirded out at all, casually sitting on her bed like hes an old pal. 😂
He never uses the phone! hahaha
+sidneysemone LOL, didn't notice that either.
He starts to and then she screams Thursday 😂
yup. humans are sexual creatures. Mr Freud had always been right.
He just wanted an excuse to get to know her better, it's instinct. I'm pretty sure most men have done this without thinkin'. I know I have. She didn't show aversion towards him even when he woke her up from her sleep early morning and him knowing he doesn't look too bad, I think he fancied his chances even if nothing comes of it, any excuse to justify chattin' up pretty girl I guess.
@@Sleepless4Life so what does he end up being to her in the movie / show , I wanna watch this . do they fall in love or just become friends ?
I have absolutely no clue how I got here, but I got SO engaged after like 2 minutes I thought I was watching a movie and when the clip ended I felt lost asf
described it perfectly haha
dude deadass same
Why not watch the whole movie?
3:57 I love that he just stops what he’s doing and hangs up the phone b/c he’s so curious about her lol.
Elegance, beauty and grace, inside and out. She was one of a kind.
"You were a dahhhling to help I never could have done it without you" is one of my fave movie lines.
+RLviddy Hehe that's pretty good. Mine is "cross your heart and kiss your elbow". I use it all the time now... lol.
Mine is the mean reds
Mine is when she gets drunk and goes: “True. Very true. True but irrelevant.”
a la distance
I love audrey. Her personality is very nice. My mother used to tell me stories about her. Loved the old days.
+Cathy Love lovely to hear ma am
I swear to god I thought she was going to put the fucking cat into the fridge, I was halfway to laughing my ass off.
+HeroSlam Hahahahha, that gave me a good chuckle!
Me too
I feel like her character Holly, would have done this! I mean, I assume she drinks every day, so like she most definitely would. Lmao!
Me too 😂😂
Lol I thought those ear plugs were earrings. I need to get one...except I can barely hear anything when I'm asleep as it is.
+Lotty Mix They looked like gorgeous earrings.
+Lotty Mix On our site, www.everythingaudrey.com (shameless plug ;) ) we have some links to those ear plugs, or you can go straight to etsy and look them up. Some of the etsy stores make some cute ones for like $15. Or, you could just make your own ;)
I thought they were too!
That Givenchy hat and dress always takes my breath away no matter how many times I see this scene. So magnificently chic.
I love anything Audrey Hepburn
the way she portrays her character makes it so fun to watch
This scene elegantly describes the instagram age we live in now.
What do you mean?
How exactly?
Scort Service !
So much superficiality. She seems to live a glamorous lifestyle but she's really a mess. That's pretty much Instagram. Or maybe I'm just getting old.
And 50 years before Instagram at that.
Although I can totally imagine if there was a "Instagram" in that era, it'd be a brand of, well, instant film camera, like a Polaroid.
ho shit someone should create an Instagram instant film camera! it'd be awesome!
6:55 "How do I look?" Like a lamp my dear
A gorgeous one.
Just Dont , we all know you would've dressed the same if you were in the 60s .
my dear .
Rude she is absolutely stunning
@@benphillip5749 Damn right I would've if I was a woman in the 60s. Alas, I was born as a man during the turn of the millenium and thus judging the fashion of the generations before me like the generations before me.
@@Peayou... I didn't say she wasn't stunning. I just said she looked like a lamp.
3:03 she taking about anxiety
Nana banana wow. first time i realized that. and know i understand her when she says she goes to tiffanys and it calms her because it happens to me when i go to my favorite mall. the atmosphere makes me feel so calm
Cande G Same I have anxiety and it makes me happy to go to my favorite stores
I’ve always talked about this. At first I wondered what she meant and then I realized she meant anxiety. The mean reds is a good way to put anxiety. It feels red and angry for sure.
There will never be another Audrey! She’s so special!
One of the classiest, most stylish, and most glamorous women to ever grace the screen. She was a true LADY in every sense of the word.
She literally speaks anything on her mind. Thats not so good.
Audrey is a fucking doll. Most beautiful woman who ever lived.
I’ve always been amazed by older movies and their voices
I love her dazzling lilac earplugs in this scene haha
She is so gorgeous holy shit
I know 😍😍💕💕
She got paid $100 / hour in 1961, that is about $870 / hour in 2018 for "relaying the weather report"
akc wow I can’t believe they paid her that much, she seems so naive I think they could’ve gotten away with paying her much less than that!
You don’t know anything about being a good-looking woman or man with money so yeah, it probably doesn’t make sense to you but it happens a LOT in strip clubs.
Minna Östmann or she could’ve cared less about money considering she came from an extremely poor family that was watched by the nazis
Razor blades and lemon juice Honey, this is a movie !
jenylogan1 your comment doesn’t even relate to what I was talking about
Wakes up with makeup like lmao
that's what I thought.
+TheCheery101 as much as i adore Audrey Hepburn i must admit i hold mucho resentment that she can slap a little eyeliner on and look that good after 2 hrs sleep and hungover to boot
if i tried that id be captured by Bigfoot hunters!
me every morning
I think the scene before this one is the intro of the movie where she breakfast at Tiffany's at 5 or 6 in the morning. She did not remove her makeup before going to bed, quite simply. Too tired.
i thought the same thing
Ahh Audrey Hepburn, and George Preppard. Two great actors, and the movie Breakfast at Tiffanys . Everytime I hear moon river, by Henry Mancini, I can not help thinking about that movie. Breakfast at Tiffanys. I love that movie, and the music.
I love Audrey Hepburn's voice. She sounds so friendly.
who rings that bell that many times lol
ΙΩ Χ He's trying to get into the building. So he presses all the units buzzers and hopes one of the tenants will let him in. That's how apartment building works, country bumpkin.
people who wants to be cursed
dudes ringing the bell like the fbi
Me! If you don't answer, I'll keep ringing till you come or the cops drag me away. ANSWER ME DAMN IT!
@@Sleepless4Life 😂
That cat acts better than I do.
watched the movie 100 times, wonderful actress full of expressions and very spontaneous at every scene. I love all her movie. love her innocence.
5:06 the way she says "i must say, the mind reels" is just...masterful
In my humble opinion, Audrey and Princess Diana are the 2 most beautiful, gracious, elegant, and classiest women ever. Both had infinite compassion for humanity, and both died far too soon.
lives like a college student or single dude
Same way i live😂
Lewis Williams me. I live alone and this is my house lol
Yo best comment ever 🤷🏽♀️😂😂 exactly what I was thinking
I live like this😅
I'm a single dude who lives like that too
I have lived that life before watching the movie. I was so naive when I lived by myself and I was so transparent with people and men.
same
Don’t forget, Holly was an escort !
Karyn Ariana Holly was an escort !
One of my absolute favorite scenes ever.
Me 2,
+Isaac Myers me 3
This is from 1961 and the sleeping mask is so elegant
Only Audrey would have a bathtub so fancy. So iconic.
she was such a gorgeous beauty
Paul reminds me of Armie Hammer .. and that cat's acting .. it deserves an Oscar !! 🐱🐱😻😻
This movie has better quality than many these days
She's a crook visiting an alleged mafia gang leader in prison every Thursday. Love it and always will lol
I love how he worries about her by telling her she could get in a lot of trouble for doing that....and he just met her ❤
Same..
She was such a amazing looking lady in her day.
I wish she was still that young... She's so pretty, a goddess
Well she's dead now been that way for years
i wish she alive and young forever
There's always cloning.
xAwoken Kings She has a granddaughter. Forgot her name.
You meant that alive
Each time she appears on screen, Mrs. Hepburn was a radiant beauty. Not to mention a huge talent.
I have watched this movie 100 times
Paul Burke me too!
George Peppard: "Could I use the phone?" = a.k.a. "You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen my entire life. You belong to me."
You belong to me .. good escort but could have worded that better. Sounds creepy af.
I can listen to her talking all day
Whether or not a faithful copy of the book by Truman Capote, the story on the screen is very tender and I love it. I love these two actors at that time of their lives ..
I've just had my Sunday breakfast with it.... I just love this movie. The story could be a bit simple or stupid though. Nevertheless, Audrey made it soooo special.... and the cat, hahhahhaha! Let's see, the music, Moon River the main song, is one of my very favorite songs. The Parisian decoration typical of those years in NY.. the colors, even of the walls of her apartment, THE CAT (I adore cats...!) the aquamarine color of her eye protector combined with her red blanket, her crazy trying-to-be sofa, the purple-fuchsia cushions of her sofa, her lil'l apartment, her bedroom, her shoes, dress and hat, her lipstick, and ...... okay the guy it's okay, too. THE 60'S!!!!! The intro, at Tiffany's and then the party! I mean the whole movie I adore, hahhhahahha! Enjoy it!
Rocío Lyoη so true ❤️
A much older Holly Golightly some twenty years later: Sequel: Breakfast at Tiffany's
-Twenty years or so have passed when a more youthful Holly Golightly would feel the urge to hitch a cab and jaunt along New York's 5th Avenue in an never ending quest to seek out an old friend she called, Tiffany's. Much older and less carefree as she had been in her twenties, a much wiser Holly Golightly slowly exited the cab but not before handing off a freshly pressed fifty dollar bill to the driver.
She paused for a moment as if reflecting upon the fifty note and what it meant some twenty years ago -accompanied by a trip to the 'ol powder room. Closing the cab door, Holly leisurely approached the department store window, stood for a moment while adjusting her Gucci red colored sunglasses; she could not help but smile. After all, she has stood gazing at this same spot a myriad of times before and to Holly, looking through a window at Tiffany's with it's sea of gold and shimmery jewelry was like peering into the eyes of an old friend. An old friend indeed.
DullardGuy you have terrific writing skills, very descriptive and nostalgic! I like the idea of a sequel already! :)
do you write stories?
One the most gorgerous duet in cinema history. Audrey was true goddess
Orangey’s hard work on Breakfast at Tiffany’s paid off big-time in the long run. He ended up winning his second Patsy award - the animal equivalent of an Oscar - for his role as Cat after the movie was over. (His first Patsy was for his role in Rhubarb.) To this day, he remains the only cat to ever win a Patsy award two times - what an accomplishment!
first manic pixie dream girl at least in film. .love her sooo much
No, the first MPDG was Katharine Hepburn in Bringing Up Baby.
It was coined for Kirsten Dunst so don't look for it before..
Audrey was magnificent in her role as Holly.
She's so elegant and graceful, and performed masterful acting. Audrey's pretty good too I guess.
So a classy lady ❤️
Such a great film, she so elegant and beautiful and he so handsome I love how familiar she is with him.
I saw this movie in my early teenage years and I related so much to her, I loved the movie, then the first year of uni i read the book and I loved it! And then I rewatched the film and I realised how I found the book better
I love Audrey, and I love how she plays the character, but there’s something about Holly’s Capote that feels so witty and mysterious
Also the ending is waaay better in the book !
The most expressive and beautiful eyes i’ve ever seen .
Audrey is such a mood here! 😂🧡
I like the cat so much! What clever cat ^^
No matter how many times I’ve seen this, it’s still exquisite. Audrey, what a wonderful woman x
This movie has quite a following with the young crowd today.
I hadn’t watched this scene in quite a while, probably more than a year, and wow, it hit differently. I always felt a connection with this movie, but I guess the older I get and the hardest anxiety and depression get the more I understand the stuff she says and things she does
I just wish I could find a girl who could get ready to go out in 4mins.
Adrian Jutronich find one who wakes up with makeup on
I would give ANYTHING to be done and out the door in just a few. Ugh! Doing all that is such a chore!
headphonic8, it ruins your skin. You cannot sleep in that stuff.
Me!
Not 4, but in ten, fifteen minutes I get dressed, brush my hair, do my make up and so. I'm a pro!
She actually was one of those people who looked great till the day she died. There was a picture I saw of her mid-80's with President Reagen and her then boyfriend @ a White House party and though she was in her late 50's she still looked great. For some odd reason the smoling never affected her beautiful skin. Genetics of course had a lot to do with it. Some, though very, very few are graced with incredible luck which is why they are movie stars, models, etc.--luck of the draw in life I suppose.
In at least the year or so before she died she did not look good at all. Very bad. Still beautiful Audrey but she did not look the same as she had. She had Cancer and that does it to you.
+Margaret--yea the last couple of years were tough on her. But up to then she was gorgeous!
Chatoyant Butterfly i think Charles Moorman was referring to the time period (1980’s) when he said mid-80s - not her age.
Mereoni R Obviously!
Yeah but there are plenty of beautiful people who become nothing.
2 legends in Heaven. May they Rest In Peace
SHE IS PERFECT
“If I could find a real life place like Tiffany’s then....I’ll bet some furniture and give the cat the name!”
Me: He’s standing right in front of you, hon.
Good lord, she had a beautiful face and a voice I could listen to for more than ten minutes!
That cat deserves Oscar for its crisp performance
Her accent is so lovely 💗
Her accent is actually transatlantic,a very old and classic accent during the 50s
I love this movie
She's just so cute
I'm dressing up as Holly in this scene for halloween.
+Before I should wake Cool! Did you dress up as Holly Golightly for Halloween? How did you think you did? I think THIS scene is the best costume, easy and so unique. A lot of people overlook it. So good thinking!
***** Thanks! I think it turned out well! I found a tutorial of how to make her sleep mask online. It took a while to make, but I think it looks pretty accurate. I also borrowed one of my dad's dress shirts. Not many people recognized my costume right away, but when I told them who I was dressed as they seemed to like it.
Before I should wake thanks for the idea, this would be such an amazing costume
Me too!
audrey is my #1 inspiration. she is so talented and pretty. luv u audrey!!
one of my favorites. I adore audrey hepburn
incredible quality. she's so pretty xD
I relate to Audrey in this movie. Everything is out of place and has someone help her find stuff and get ready. I'm gonna be Audrey Hepburn for Halloween
Nunca me canso de ver las escenas de esta gran película.
How is she so elegant? I can never quite pinpoint what it is
I think it's cuz she used to study ballet & you can tell by how she carried herself 😄
Ce film est un enchantement. Magique et intemporel. Comme la belle Audrey.
Le chat est vraiment craquant aussi 🐈
I LOVE this scene (:
