I've been practicing this strategy for my upcoming trip to Vegas. One thing I don't understand... you hedge the $50 Don't Come bet against the 11 with the $3 bet on 11. But then you're still vulnerable to the 7. Why not also hedge the 7 with a say $12 bet on 7?
I don't think it would be an issue with the dealers. I see people making all kinds of crazy bets on ever roll and keeping the dealers jumping. The come bet is a self service bet so you can do that on your own.
This is my absolute favorite system to play but I usually do it at bubble craps so I can manage all the bets electronically. It just feels like a lot to ask from a dealer.
@@rafaelw3171 you cannot do a pass/no pass or come/DC bet at the same time on electronic machines. You can on a table but they look at you rather strangely. In this system you won't be betting both the come/don't or pass / no pass so not sure about your reply.
Actually, this system is NOT asking much from the dealer. The stickman will keep track of proposition bets. The dealer only needs to worry about paying out the number that hit. Which is what he does anyhow, whether it is a place, come, don't bet. The difficulty is on the player. You just have to not forget to put your hedge bets in the middle. The sizing for the eleven or hardways is perfect; since these don't hit that often you should be willing to take a small loss. If you practice this at home I believe you will see it really isn't too complex. The only change I would make is if I can get some of my bets to take back black, I would pull my don't bet and play "with the dice" from then on, including "off" on the comeout. Don't betting in general is a hedge for choppy tables. Real money is made "with the dice ".
Why do people worry about the dealers liking or not like how you bet and if they have to work harder? I mean, wahhhhhhh! sorry for making you work at your job! Just imagine you are at a table playing this system by yourself or with 1 or 2 others at your end of the table and you play for an hour. Now think about the same dealers not dealing this system but for the next 3 hours they have a maxed out/full table of players. I think they are working harder during those 3 hours with a full table than dealing this system. The only legitimate complaint they should have is if in either situation nobody is tipping them for their hard work and attention to the game. So always remember to support their efforts and help them like how busy your system keeps them and reward them!
Been playing for 30+ years…. Have tried this type system and have had some moderate success…, it leaves some definite vulnerability as all Strategies do! Just all about the fall of the dots! Thanks for the video always looking for a new improvement in ways to limit some risks. Just a suggestion …..but put up a separate Bank roll & a screen calculator with individual roll indicators to follow and calculate….this will help people see the results and odd winners…. It’s all about those odds winners ….. my Craps friends out there!
Only thing I don't like about this strategy is the max odds on the 8 at the beginning. That means you have $56 working and $55 if the 7 hits. So if the 7 hits right away, you lose $1. I'd probably do a passline of 2x odds just so that if you do 7 out on the next roll you're taking something away to help with your next DC as you will eventually hit a 7 and lose it before you can place it. Just my thoughts, other than that its a good strategy, probably easier on stadium or bubble craps so the dealer isn't working as much lol
What happens if they hit the lay point!? Do you put the DC back up!? That’s when things get really interesting. Do you just come down for the next shooter!?
This strategy along with dice setting has never let me down. I do $5/10 pass with a $75/150dc. 7 set on come out. Set dice for craps on 2nd roll hedge 11. Then set dice to point. Don’t win big, but get good comps and usually pays for my activity in LV for the evening like a show and good dinner.
I tried this system without the insurance bets. No matter what strategy you are using, the centre bets are strictly for suckers - especially with the odds offered by American casinos. Results so far are not bad.
what would happen in the middle of a roll you lose your DC bet. do you put another 50 DC to replace what you lost? What about your place bets if that happens do you do anything with those if something happens?
If its a 9 u could hedge SOMETHING in a field roll maybe 1/5 your dont come if you're feeling like a degenerate. 2 or 12 pay double, but 5,6,7,8 lose. Whatever your odds are on the 5 6, and 8 would cover some of it.
I took 10k to 55k on an internet Practice game.I didn’t press the come wins on odds. Would have made more. Caution: the DC numbers do come up and you can go bad quickly. It’s easy to go on tilt when these DC repeaters happen. I’d welcome some advice on how to handle the down sequences.
If you suspect a Hot shooter, after 5th-6th roll, tell the dealer to come down off the DC with your bet and go with Come Bets ....cuz a hot shooter can F--k you up !!!
Hedge bets have their negative EV. When you make any bet with negative EV and then hedge it with another bet with negative EV, you have a combined increased negative EV. Your hedge decrease your variance, but also reduces your expected value-you lose MORE!
Hedging is such a good way to play craps to limit the risks. I've seen so many guys go across the board once a point is established and then the dreaded 7 wipes them out without collecting a single bet. That ain't cheap at the $25 min. tables. True story, a friend's dad went up to a table midroll at Wynn and threw down a few hundred dollar bills and then asked what's the minimum thinking it's probably $25... and it was $200 min. So he put his $300 on the come and sure enough 7, line away, pay the come. He picked up his $600 and bought us a buffet dinner. 🤣
I guess you could place money on the 5 or 9. Say you were on a 5 dollar table you would place 40 dollars on the 5 or 9 and hope you hit other numbers before hitting the seven.
Look, I enjoy shooting some craps when I'm in LV...however, it should be stated that every bet on the table (other than odds) has a house advantage. You can hedge your hedges, double down, buy numbers, mix and match all the possible bets out there (I personally love a random "2-way midnight" at 30-1)...but I also recognize the math doesn't change...it's a negative expectation game...play long enough and you will lose...there's no edge to be gained...and this is why there's no such thing as professional craps players.
David, Happy 2021 Christmas Eve I don’t like it for 3 big holes: The 5 & 9 is not hedgeable. And you are vulnerable to a 7 on the DC. On a $25 table you’re at risk for $250.
David, i discovered more holes on this so called famous strategy. If you have a 4,6,8, and 10 DC, you’re hard ways won’t save you if you roll an easy before the 7! Yikes! BAD strategy!
I’ve got a borderline stupid question but the 5% vig on a buy bet confuses my on the 10/4 when you set the point on your 10 you had bought you paid out 18/20 which would be 10% vig so you’re taking the vig off the original bet and not the winnings? Doesn’t that make it the exact same as a table that collects the vig on the bet and not the win? Just curious because I thought that the win would pay 19 on the win for the 5% vig
Dave when you hit the hard four you made it sound as if you lost the hardway 4 and took the bet down but in reality I assume you would take the bet down and bank it correct? I also like this betting strategy on a bubble craps machine.
Instead of the $50 DC, why not just skip that step and lay the 4 and/or 10? Maybe the 1:2 payout math to hedge your money thats in play is complicated, but why risk the $50 on Big Red on the DC roll?
Because you would have to risk $100 to win $50 (4/10), not a good idea. On the DC, with hedged eleven you just have to get past that seven on one roll, 5 to 1 in your favor. Plus, on the DC, 2, 3 & 12 will win, 4 ways out of 36. Seven hits 6 ways out of 36. This strategy is for when shooters are throwing 4 - 8 numbers then a seven. It keeps you from losing your bankroll. Point, then seven....no strategy works.
@@kinglouie9476 Actually, 100 to win 50 is true odds which is better than all of the other bets, especially the hedges! And 12 does not win on a DC, it's barred and is a push. So only 3 out of 36 ways to win on the DC. 😊
I don’t think it really matters but it if you play this way with the flow of the game it allows you to collect when a point is hit, collect your DC and PL on a come out (where a DP would lose) and it hedges you when you 7 out. However that initial DC and PL both lose if you point 7. I personally would keep my place bets off but work my odds on the come out.

As long as you do not 7PO this strategy will not “destroy” you. Ofc unless as he said if a hot shooter starts making 4 or 5 point hits in a row you can’t get “destroyed” with this strategy. It is all about hedging and hopefully going on a long roll where two things happen… 1 your DC doesn’t get rolled and 2 you get to hit several of your other place bets preferably the ones you have pressed up the most. But he didn’t get “destroyed” he only lost one DC and he had it hedged with the hard 4. That said yeah the dice have to cooperate no matter the strategy since the casinos pay out less than what the odds are for hitting any particular number. It is how they make their money in the long run.
