As long as BP and Baemon are not dropping the same song, I don't see them as in competition. The competition is always be between YG vibes against those girl groups from other companies. BP and Baemon will both shine together and may still be dominating.
You also know that both BP and BM doesn't share the same producers as well. BP was technically under YG but their main producer is TEDDY while BM main producer is YG himself along with other YG composers. The real competition for BM is probably the new talk of town which is the new Blacklabel gg, which they will handled by Teddy himself.
@@hikun3831 Batter Up got that YG vibe just like any of the BP and 2ne1 banger songs (As those haters been saying). 2Ne1 and BP yes got that same Teddy Park imprints. But theres just this specific vibe in YG music that if you hear them (with or without Teddy) they just scream YG. Teddy's new gg would be an interesting add to the mix of potential Baemon's competition tho. Am sure them also got these vocals also.
@@hikun3831 I think Blacklabel is still an associate company of YGE. and Teddy is asked to run it. Thats why producers from Blacklabel still produce for Blackpink. And if thats the case, theres a good chance that these producers may produce for Baemon too.
@@haternumberfive there's no chance at all, the Blacklabel is nearly debuting his first ever gg this year, so they mainly produced and care for their own new group rather than BM and by that if teddy had a chance to work with BM, he would probably do it since the day 1 but that's not the case for this at all, since BM was now handled by YG himself and other YG producers and not Teddy since he got BP and the new gg which will kinda hard to compose and produce to BM especially Teddy's priority are BP, Somi, and the new gg that they have been discussing to debut this year.

They are from YG they are already dominating the charts!!! I’m a huge blink and YG stan so I appreciate all the artists. You know when a YG artist is on stage. They will be compared to BP as they are their baby sisters like when BP debuted and was continually compared to 2NE1. Say what you what but YG debuts exceptional and unique artists. Many groups have imitated….but YG is the OG.
Exactly, the comparisons are unavoidable but doesn't mean it's a bad thing! YG has a certain style and they do it well 👏
Yg doing yg is the best thing for me.They are the only company that can do this style without looking trying hard and cringy. This is thei⁹r style and this is the only reason I am into kpop..other companies concepts are just cringy for me and im kinda sad how kpop these days are all about autotune and lipsync. Yg producing artist that can really sing SING and perform live is the best...
YG had 3 japanese boy idols under TREASURE. Its a 10 member group just 3 yrs older than baemon
Just like when "Boombayah" came out, they talked backlash, comparing to "Fire" 2NE1. However they already make some branch out.
💯 they're just starting so their discography will for sure expand as time goes on!
Production wise, you want something that is not so familiarly YG? then check out this latest song that they just dropped "Stuck in the Middle". It is something totally different, that covers maybe another 20% of their range. maybe 3 different MVs later will you stop seeing new surprises from them.
Baby monster fans have followed them and all their individual performances and evaluations since day one. So the range and individual abilities cannot be summarised by just one MV.
I've been a deep diving Kpop fan since 2005.
Can only tell you that Baby Monster is unlike any gen 4 or even 3 groups out there. Personally i have not seen such an astoundingly talented group together before. I am referring to the level of individual talents overall, and not just a few key members.

Batter Up was a tribute to their senior artists. It was supposed to be the typical YG style. Stuck in the Middle, their newest song, is literally the opposite of Batter Up. Its actually a ballad type song. Its beautiful
Yg have Japanese members the first japanese in YG is Haruto,Asahi and Yoshi of Treasure but Ruka is the first female since she announced first as official member then Asa came as 2nd japanese female

Great Reaction MUCH! In regards to Batter Up! It’s a Music Video that pays homage to BigBang, 2NE1 and BlackPink! The first Rapper is Dimples (RUKA) the coat she is wearing is a reference to G-Dragon and Taeyangs 2014 middle finger to MAMA! And the cap she’s wearing has CL on it! And the end of the Rapverse ends with (gone) Rosé! And ASA is Rocking the Black and Pink! But they have been pacing themselves to give Ahyeon a chance to join BabyMonster again in April when they will comeback as the magnificent 7! Batter Up shattered every Rookie debut record on RUclips and Spotify and other streaming platforms! YG knew his stocks were going to drop but it will stabilize gradually! He has a One Two Punch with BlackPink and BabyMonster together not against each other! For now we call ourselves Baemon!

Since 2011, YG Entertainment has had a partnership with AVEX Entertainment called YG Japan.
AVEX Entertainment is a Japanese mega corporation that its involved in music, anime, and video games.
Basically, YG Japan conducts recruitment and promoting for artists, under YG Entertainment and AVEX Entertainment, in Japan.
YG Japan conducts auditions for potential Japanese trainees for YG Entertainment, most notably they did the initially auditioning of the Japanese members of Treasure and Babymonster. As well as assisting in the recruiting of potential Japanese trainees for AVEX Entertainment, most notably they assisted in the recruiting of some of the Japanese trainees used by XGALX, which formed the global girl group XG.
In April 2023, YG Japan made announcements that they were auditioning for Japanese trainees for YG's new global girl group.

change is the only constant thing in the world they say but yg is still yg despite many new groups debuting and with different new colors, they stay in their root and that makes them stand out because they have their own color. you can identify them right away that they are babymonster and that they are from yg entertainment. so even in a new generation (5th gen) the yg music is still alive. maybe it's just me but i love yg music a lot and i don't want them to change because i always go back to their music whenever i feel down.
also, baemon may try to dive into other concepts but it will only make sense that yg will introduce them to the world with a yg song like batter up and that's unfortunate to those who wants something "new" from yg.
Babymonster is exactly how you would describe these super talented girls. We watched them during their pre debut period and they are all rounders. You should watch their pre release single “Stuck in the middle”. This beautiful song will show you how good their voices are.

Batter Up is supposed to be an homage to their senior YG groups. YG himself said this months earlier. Complaining about it is idiotic. They did exactly what they said they were doing. Go to the other kiddie, cringey groups if it is too much for you.

If you're listening to YG Artists for a long period of time you'll know that YG is not all about Hip Hop. There's AKMU who mostly do ballads and poppy kinds of songs and of course WINNER. 😅

Fuck, I'm so tired of these comparisons with BP... Even if you didn't mean anything bad, it's still disrespectful to them. Even the BabyMonster girls themselves said before their debut that they didn't want to be mini versions of anyone. They are already being compared to BP and other artists even before their debut, but the girls see everything and they feel bad about it!
It's totally normal to be compared to those that come before you, and these girls even idolize the BP members! It's not a bad thing. Over time, they'll grow into their own style and we're excited to see it! 💜
Batter Up just smashed the fastest 228 million in kpop debut history ever. Clearly popular. Someone is for sure old, deaf and blind. Batter Up smashed Blackpinks debut song Boombayah record for the fastest 200 million which took 370 days in a blistering 53 days. Baby Monster girls are already legends.

For me being a YG artist fan yes i somewhat tired of the same thing everytime but at the same time thats what make YG artist shines compared to other group there's a saying only YG artist can cover YG song and its true! I have to disagree, that Blackpink is competing against Babymonster.
Blackpink just finished their World Tour and busy doing their individual activities, and most likely, giving way to Babymonster for them to be recognized as the New Girl Group. If Blackpink wll compete with Babymonster, one song will definitely will overshadow Babymonsters debut, and YG will be in big trouble, i know, YG is a smart producer and i am sure that the schedulea of Blackpink and Babymonster will never overlap. Blinks supports Babymonster, and we are happy that while Blackpink is busy with other work, Babymonster is here to break records without tv/ radio promotion😊

You guys are not fair. They are not BP or 2ne1 and 2 ne1 are old now almost reaching 40 they should be mentoring the younger gen and not competing with the young. So sad some people just can't let go of their past.
The comparisons are unavoidable since they're all from the same company! Doesn't mean it's a bad thing. It's more like we're noticing a style, a style that we're a fan of (and that they do well). We're excited to see how baemon will grow and create their own signature :)

RAMI/SHIN HARAM, RORA/LEE DAIN and AHYEON/JUNG AHYEON are my favorite members in BABYMONSTER. I really love their voices. They are so talented. They are so good at singing. Their vocals are superb. I love them so much. They have so much potential. They are great.
