I have the L18 and I really like it. I also have a Noctigon KR1(130,000CD) in green osram and a Noctigon K1 in green osram.. (720,000CD) and it’s about the size of the FT03 from Astrolux. I don’t hunt but I love the green emitters as you can see so much better with green at night. Due to the way your eye picks up the color. I went for the L18 in white just so I don’t have all green throwers. But I kinda wish I would have gone for green now. As it also doesn’t mess up your night vision like white/blue light does. And it throws further. If the L18 goes on sale I might go for a green one just to have both. As far as what I use these lights for. It’s purely a hobby. I have JetBeam RRT-MX1 Raptor (LEP) on the way as well. Cant wait to see how far that thing throws. It’s rated at 2400m with over a million CD. But due to it being a LEP it has absolutely zero spill. All it is good for is spotting things from 200-300 meters or more. Otherwise the spot is just too small and your better off using a Noctigon KR1 or GT Mini or even a high lumen flooder. Like my Fireflies E07 with 7x Osram 15w that little thing puts useful light down to 350m easy.

I like green for throwers as well. I don't hunt or anything like that. I am just a flashlight enthusiast (nerd). These Osram green emitters throw further than white, that is mainly because not nearly as much energy is wasted on red light or IR light, since the light is mainly green, and our eyes pick up green better than any other color. I have a KR1 in W1 Green and it is much nicer to look at, not nearly as hard on your eyes as white light. And the contrast with the green light is still there. You can spot everything you would with white light, just that the CRI is much lower than your average white thrower. About 31 CRI with my W1 green compared to an average of 70 on most white light throwers.
When it's pitch black out or close to it, when using the green light, you cannot even tell it's green after about 5 or 10 minutes. it just looks like light. Once your eyes adjust to it the only way you will really notice how green it is would be to turn on or look at a white light source.
With that being said, the higher CRI that comes with white light has great advantages as well. When you need to know the exact color of something, that is mainly it. But it doesn't help you actually see better. Just see color better.
Also, check out Green Light Therapy. (I recommend you all read up on it as the results thus far are amazing). it's been proven and it does work. If I have a headache or am very stressed out I turn on my green KR1 and sit in a dark room with just green light and within 45 minutes I am in less pain and much more relaxed. I also find that it puts me in a much better mood. Now the best possible way to do this is to buy glasses that only let the green light in. Because even though it is green light there are small amounts of other color light mixed in there. I don't go that far as I don't feel I need to. As long as I get my daily dose of green light for a couple hours with no other lights on in the room. If you are going to try this, don't use direct green light. Let it bounce off a wall or ceiling, and use it on a dim setting.

Hey Dustin. Thank you for your comment. That sounds interesting. I'll take a closer look at it. To me the lights in other colors than can be relaxing and good for my mood as well.

@@muelleroutdoor the green lights are very relaxing in fact I use my KR1 and K1 for just that. Put them on a low setting and use ceiling bounce for indirect lighting. It’s amazing what they do for your mood. They have also been proven to reduce pain as they release a natural opiate into your body. I believe green light therapy is the next real breakthrough in migraine prevention and pain management along with many other aspects of the medical field It’s been shown to bring patients pain levels from an 8 down to a 3 and not just for some of them. It works across the board. It’s pretty cool stuff. And so far it’s been shown that you do not grow a tolerance to the natural morphine (if you will) that it releases into your body. Meaning it will keep working. Unlike something like real morphine that you can develop a tolerance to within days.

@@0nemoa sounds fascinating. Recently when I had a headache the green light didn't attract me that much but I'll try it again soon. I often use red light when it's late. To just calm down.

Hi Umar. I haven't yet tested the other lights you mentioned. Probably I'll present them in the future. There are a few new lights from Manker that I plan to show in the channel. Best regards, Simon

I can't find the L18 in green anywhere so ill be buying the L17 in green. The new L19 is insanely overpriced as you can order a Noctigon K1 and have it shipped DHL for under that price tag...

I haven't used it for a long time but to me it looked very comfortable. If you're tired late at night the green beam color puts much less strain on your eyes (than white light) and calms you down.

Red color is great too. Green has an advantage: it still allows you to differentiate some colors.

@@muelleroutdoor sounds interesting. I like the extra output and distance as long as still useful color 🙂

    • @0nemoa
      @0nemoa 3 года назад

@@SimplifiedTruth it’s still very useful. I see better contrast in green far out then I do with white like far out. But that’s just because our eyes see green light best out of everything so even though you can’t tell a big difference in color, you see the contrast. So you can spot things better, at least that is the case with my eyes. And it’s so much more relaxing as it doesn’t mess up your night vision nearly as much as white and IR light can.

    Hy buddy
can we see toward this light, I mean can we use this self defence weapon so that no one can move toward us.
I see some dazzler laser with wide beam like this flashlight, but they are too much expensive; about $500.

I haven't tested it as a self defense light but it looks bright and should work to slow down an opponent
