I loved Everything Sucks as well. I think I would have liked the hour drama more than the half hour comedy to allow some of the themes and characters to marinate a bit more. Despite the trend of putting nerdy kids at the forefront of everything these days, I saw myself more in this show than Stranger Things for example. I also thought Luke and Kate were some of the best kid actors I’ve ever seen. They were asked to do a ton and they delivered.

I was really surprised how much I enjoyed When We First Met. I had low expectations because it looked like a generic movie and it was in a way but with a really nice charm to it that didn't force you to have empathy with the "poor lovestruck boy". Like 7.5/10
Saw Black Panther yesterday and I'll be honest, I didn't like it all that much. The music is cool, and I liked seeing the African culture elements of it, but overall, it just felt very blah. Action felt neutered, the humor wasn't there, and boy, I love my memes, but the "what are those" joke was terrible.
I saw Black Panther on the 8th and though it was great, it had been so long since I’d seen a truly great movie that wasn’t an Oscar movie. Then I saw Annihilation the next week and it made me feel bad for overrating Black Panther. It’s really good, but Annihilation is just something beautiful, amazing, and special. The next week I saw Game Night and that just further overshadowed Black Panther even more. Hilarious and so well made.

Hey! I was EATING when you showed me that clip of a man directly spitting into a woman's mouth. >.< bleck When We First Met is so mediocre yet enjoyable. I personally wish there were more goofy movies to watch while eating tacos at 1am after a party. I don't want all my movies profound; I want them entertaining. I just finished Everything Sucks; on the last live chat I remember saying I couldn't get into it but you were right that it gets a bit more engaging later on in the season. I still think it's so cheesy and troupe-y in a way that doesn't always work. But, the soundtrack is banging and I really want to see more of the characters; I just wish some were a bit more fleshed out. I'm looking forward to seeing Annihilation and Thoroughbreds (finally!) this weekend.

Read the southern reach trilogy before watching annihilation. I was....disappointed. I probably should've watched the film first. I can see why you like it but its not what it could be. If i can separate it from the book I might like it better.

Nah the thing about Early Man is the story is really nothing new. The jokes are good but, the overall film is just average.
