I was very emotional watching this video. I think the music you put on and your nostalgic speech were very effective in this. In fact, understanding how precious something is for us emerges when we move away from them. It looks like the fish in the sea does not know the sea. I once had a Finnish friend. We met at a workshop in Austria. She was a very nice lady. After getting to know you and your family, I realized that my opinion was absolutely correct. I think you ,Finnish people, are very calm and elegant people because of the climate. I also liked Vinod and his family very much. Two beautiful people and families found each other. This is very nice. Annika is a hybrid. A mixture of two different and beautiful cultures. Hybrids are very beautiful and intelligent.
Wondering how can one leave such a beautiful country and live ina far away land with out being haunted by nostalgia. Feeling happy for Annika because she needed this exposure and she is thoroughly enjoying it

Simple town and harsh weather conditions. Yet when you have pleasant memories it makes it memorable and homely especially when you are with close family and friends. Many in India May not realize how harsh the weather can be and how long. The sub zero temperatures and dark months are a far cry from a subtropical “Gods Own country”. However the memories and people around you makes this a pleasant experience especially for the grand ma, sister and Anika.
Your home town is beautiful, always mixed feelings when going back to your childhood home/town as our memories never change but over the years the hometown changes but that never replaces the images we hold forever. The soup looked so good and warming, lm with Vinod it is an unusual combination that can confuse our tastebuds. The cakes and pastries though yum! Thankyou for sharing your childhood with us❤
I never realised fish with dairy is unusual! Even kids in Finland mostly love this milky fish soup 😄 but i agree, the pastries are even better! I could live on those cinnamon buns, they must be the best in Finland! 😍 btw, this cafe visit was also a part of us pampering my mom and sister, so our treat! ❤️

Hi Johanna: Vinod is a real trooper!! It must be very hard for him to be outside in such cold weather. In Toronto, yesterday we had -22 Celsius and even though I have lived in Canada most of my life, I still hate the cold. But I have to say Vinod is handling it extremely well. Another incredible video! I loved seeing where you grew up. What a lovely town and your house was very beautiful. I fell in love with the restaurant/cafe you ate at. I would love a house like that. It has such beauty and character. My parents were in the antique business so I developed a real love for older homes and antiques. I love the amazing traditional foods that you eat and the desserts looked so amazing and so delicious !! Annika is an absolute doll. She seems so happy to be with your lovely family. I have loved all your videos from Finland-so interesting! You’re making me want to go to Finland for the yummy desserts! I find it interesting most of the houses built with very creaking wood-they must be very well insulated to keep our the cold but for some reason they don’t look all that warm because old houses like that always seem cold and drafty to me! Hopefully they are nice and cozy and warm though!

Yes we love all the Kerala fish dishes, but coconut milk is not at all the same as dairy, so it’s not weird for an indian 😊

Well i must admit that i struggle with the Kerala climate sometimes! Now this winter season is quite pleasant but i’m already dreading the summer heat and humidity 😅
@@JohannaNorth Yes its understandable. In thr North,though its not humid, the temperature goes to 45 deg and above. Iam now in Kerala and really happy to have escaped the freezing cold of North India.

Is there state owned public transport like buses in Finland. You must have seen KSRTC in Kerala
I dont think the buses are state owned but maybe some businesses are city or region owned. Only railways is under the Finnish state
