Thanks, as a teacher, planning to start making easy videos, this was helpful in reassuring me to go with PPT to begin! I subscribed as well as I found your style helpful, casual, and amusing.
Ugh figuring out my target audience is the hardest part because I want to make a really cute animated channel but I also want heartfelt moments between the two characters/mascots
Oml, we are in the same boat! For my channel it is focused on making educational fursuit and plushy making tutorials and guides… However, I want an element of fun and comedy to it with the addition of a small fox character that causes shenanigans. Although, he is animated in 2-D so he causes each video and short to take ages. I want to be able to have the occasional video or short dedicated to him and his character… But I’m still attempting to find that balance between comedic and educational content.
@ yeah mine was between two computers in a library, but only one had access to the internet because the other was out of order so the one with internet connection teaches the one without it stuff lol It’s hard balancing comedy and education, but it’s certainly been done before!
Hiya, I'd suggest just stick with a free one like Capcut or Clipchamp at first and move on to either Da Vinci Resolve or Premiere Pro when you feel you need more professional features.
How did you divide the screen into two parts? Which app have you used? Could you mention all the nice tools we teachers might use for the video recording?
Yeah, for sure, I'm planning some follow up videos. I do have a good playlist where I chat through software: How to make educational videos for RUclips: ruclips.net/p/PLRttaJ-qJ-mVLOsLoBESfTUjPQq-R9Mzu But in this video o have used OBS for a live screen capture and webcam and premiere Pro to do some editing afterwards. Thanks!

@@KitBetts-Masters do you mean you recorded 2 separate videos one showing your screen, then the 2nd you talking, and combining those?
Ur explaination would hv bn clearer if U had used visual examples as well.

And of course turn the drum down so we can hear you better
