- As part of Lady Gaga's Monster Ball world tour, Nick Knight and Ruth Hogben created a number of films to use as part of her on-stage performance and as interludes in the epic show. Building film into the architectonic feeling of the Monster Ball tour, these four films explore notions of fame, iconicism and life in an evolving metropolis.

I remember standing in the middle of a sweaty croud when the whole arena went black...and this started... fuck, 20,00 people stood silent for this and it was easily the most intense experience I've ever been a part of.

I remember when I saw this for the first time.. Everyone in the arena was quite/amazed by this interlude and even a bit scared.. But I loved it very much!

Gaga missed the opportunity to make a special album during the period entitled ''The Fame Monster - Ball Version'', with the interludes followed by her songs, chronologically as in the tour's setlist. So I had to do it to feel at peace, for my personal collection.
I saw this in the staples center august 12 2010 and I still come back to this. There's something divinely haunting about this piece.

It's still the same person. People just can't deal the darker side of her.
tnargtnarud or more so...people resignate more with her darker side. This is extremely dark as fuck. All of gagas stuff past the BTW era has actually aimed at being uplifting in some way and ARTPOP has a lot of sexual/ mainly positive songs.
So one could argue people cant deal with gaga's lighter and happier phases. they crave for her to be dark and miserable (something she even feared and hence didnt want to fall in love again pre taylor)
She was mainly in mourning for Alexander McQueen, who one of her closest friends.

This Gaga's never left lmao. If you didn't see any of the Coachella or Joanne Tour visuals you missed out on a lot of dark visuals,especially the Coachella intro alone.

Apparently, the one for this film played after Money Honey. And the gun scenes were eventually used for "Boys Boys Boys" in the arena version. But in the earliest version, you'll see the buildings in full and unseen poses that Gaga made that were cut from the final version of this film.

As i sat through the intro to the chromatica ball, i was wondering why it felt SOOOO FAMILIAR. It then hit me like a ton of bricks and realized it was THIS.

On the monsterball 1.0 leg they used this aduio but eddited for a movie called the raven forrest. On the manchester concert in febuary last year they used this audio but a diffrent intro wich had the paparazi backdrop from 1.0 monsterball.
