Thanks for the inspiration ! Got a LOT of Chariots and TK i needed to do before The Old World, and wasn't really inspired with the 10ish tutorials on RUclips, thank you so much !! And great job !!
LMAO! Thank you Rachel Weisz. One of the quickest ways to my heart is through obscure movie references and that was one of the best I've heard all year 🤣
Where have you been all my life? This is absolutely great. Short, to the point, no faffing about, great results. I wonder if you could do Dwarfs contrast tutorial?
Great painting tutorial for the tomb guard. Thanks a lot. I have just braught back my old tomb kings army from the basement to bring it up to speed for The Old World. And i still have 10 unpainted tomb guard here. Actually it never ocured to me to paint the bones last, but GW just released a similar tutorial and they also paint the bones last - and i think i see the reason behind it.
Nice and thank you for this, I remember often looking at Tomb Kings stuff around when I started, never bought one, mixed if that was good or bad since it got destroyed, but I will probably get 'em for the old world (even though I have way to make 40k armies and I haven't done half of 'em (not as in all half painted, there are 1-2 that are still in the box
Thank You I've returned today from GW with a set of paints You've mentioned. I tried a test one and it works fine. I'll start mass production of skellies from tomorrow :)
How do you recommend doing these mixtures out of the citadel pots? Do you use a brush to apply the paint to a palette or do you have some kind of dropper to measure out the drops?
I do both actually (solely depending on whether I've run out of dropper bottles). But the ratios really don't need to be exact so sometimes I use an old brush to just add it to a paper palette, especially if I only need a tiny bit. Huge Minis has a handy inexpensive transfer set for moving Citadel paint pots over to droppers. hugeminis.com/product/glass-dropper-bottle-transfer-kit/
You can! I just prefer Lahmian Medium because it makes the paints more transparent and flow a bit more than Contrast Medium (better for textured surfaces like this).
"Enough fangirling over Egyptian mummies" 😂
Nice work, love contrast paints and these guys seem to work very well with them!
That gold colour is GOLD! Fantastic job.
Thanks for the inspiration !

don't usually comment but that first bone juice recipe is beyond perfect. a little screaming skull drybrush and goddamn chef's kiss
Really like this tutorial! Not too complicated yet fantastic looking!
Oh man. This guide could be the one for me. Very informative.
Big thanks for this one. I've got a Pharaoh Dragon from Reaper that needs to be done, this is how I think I'll do it. Thanks and **uncreepy hugs**!!!

Looks soooo good! Love this tutorial! But…
No square base??! /s😜
Thank you!
Haha I threw in the disclaimer at the end on the chance someone pointed it out unironically...then I know who doesn't stick around 😆

Great guide. Thanks for this.
I can't wait to use this on a tomb kings army. Can I used contrast medium instead of lahmian when mixing? Is there a difference?

Hi Darcy, why do you paint with gloves?
So I don't have to worry about the horror of dry skin or paint stained nails distracting the viewer 😅.
@@DarcyBonoCreationshehe ok. Don’t worry. The focus is on the mini and your technique. 😊
Only because it's not wreathed in a closeup display of flakey flesh 🤣....but thank you!
Rubbery gloves will give you a better grip, too
And no grease on the models. I also do this against paint on my hands
Me: Gets a 3D printed Khemri Blood Bowl team today and isnt sure how to paint it
Darcy: Got you covered fam 💯
Thank you, so inspirating, hello from Spain!
