My personal team would be Hawkgirl, Aquaman, Doctor Fate, and Solomon Grundy. No wait, that was the DCAU parody of the Defenders from Justice League's The Terror Beyond.
I remember first being introduced to the defenders in superhero squad it featured, Hulk, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Valkyrie. It was only years later, I realized the defenders wasn’t actual marvel, superhero group with one being street level, heroes, and one being the lineup I just mentioned. It’s funny, how many marvel superhero groups exist who sadly don’t get the spotlight as much because the avengers and X-Men are seen as the only major teams. Even the fantastic floor gets a little bit of attention, but that’s about as far as it goes normally
The Defenders were literally in the MCU... though idk what's canon now. Since everyone hated Iron Fist and most people didn't seem to like Defenders much... but people loved Daredevil especially and mostly liked Jessica Jones, Punisher, and Luke Cage I believe... Idk what was kept vs tossed out. Since they tossed out Agents Of Shield... no clue. I honestly thought Inhumans was going to be the only thing that wasn't canon. But after Loki and especially s2 they changed a lot. I actually don't even know when AOS became not canon... but they still have wiggle room thanks to Loki.
Zatanna, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Deadman. All bases are essentially covered with Zatanna dealing with magic, Deadman with supernatural, Arrow for the heart, humor, and planning, Canary with the street level skills and also a tactician
To be fair booster gold in some continuities does have his own company that he uses to promote himself. It’s pretty much the superhero equivalent of Mattel, but less successful.
How a bout a more villainous group of Defenders: Street level-Kite Man(Leader and founder of the Defenders.He wants to do good to make his dead son proud); Space and Strength-Mongal(Trapped on Earth) Ocean-Black Jack(a pirate who's actually from Earth 2); Magic-Arion the Sorcerer(who could still be in his kinda good phase trough);
Nice groupings and any team would be great. I think Team 1 is my fav but 4 is pretty good too. Not a huge fan of Steel, but maybe it's because I don't have a ton of knowledge about the character.
I actually have two teams for Dc’s Defenders based on two different version of the group Team 1 is made up of: Magic-Zatanna Ocean-Mera Space-Martian Manhunter Monster-Swamp Thing Team 2 is based on the start level heroes: Black Canary Black Lightning Batwoman Huntress
Low power black suit Superman from after he dies and comes back, early Starfire, a reluctant Azreal, and Hawkman as their leader because he never backs down.
My defenders Team Nightwing for daredevil Thunder for Jessica Jones Karate kid for Iron fist Painkiller for Luke cage Katana for Elektra Lady Shiva for Collen wing Rocket for Misty knight Deadshot for Punisher
My team would be the likes of Nightwing, Black Lightning, Gotham Girl, Katana And my second team is Dr.Fate, Green Lantern (kyle rayner), Big Barda, Power girl
Ya he did. There was a strain with the Justice League at the time and they were used as a team to do things other teams couldn't. Mainly because of political issues at the time.
@@tyrellmultimedia wish we saw more of them mostly in animation. The team seems more grounded and there wouldn't any question of what Batman brings to the team among DC fans. Unlike the justice league were people constantly say he doesn't belong because of the OP nature of his teammates. Batman being the more knowledgeable person in the team is constantly called into question because apparently both Superman and Flash can learn the whole of human science and technology in just mere seconds.
So I set out to create a street level Defenders rather than original Defenders (JLA already did that anyway) More importantly, since the Defenders were created so Marvel would have a place for characters they didn't know what to do with, that's how I'm gonna be picking my lineup 1) Robin (Tim Drake) - He's got years of experience as a leader and a detective. More importantly, DC has NO IDEA what to do with him since they created Damien 🤦 2) Sideways - He's got a great supporting cast and his teleportation powers would be a huge asset. Unfortunately, he's a meta hero in Gotham and DC doesn't know how to make that work. He needs this even more than Robin 😑 3) Blue Devil - He brings strength, decent magical knowledge and a cool visual to the team. Unfortunately, ever since New 52 no one can remember if he's an actual demon or an actor in a exo suit 🙄 4) Killer Frost - She's a brilliant scientist with a great look, potent freezing powers and a tragic backstory. DC seems to have (ironically) gotten cold feet 🥶on the character's reform after the mixed reception of SS vs JLA and the struggling sales of Steve Orlando's JLA.
Team 2 is WAYYY too strong to be the modern "street level" version lol. So yeah, definitely more the OG version. I didn't like the Black Lightning show. I got somewhere between 1 and 4 episodes in. Idr. But I REALLY liked the Static Shock cartoon back in the day. So personally, I'd swap those two on team 4. If we go by Areowverse versions at all, Green Arrow is definitely the leader of that team. Ray Palmer isn't even remotely leader. And Black Lightning would have a damn good argument for being the leader of team 4... if I wasn't swapping him out. He was also used at the end of... Justice League TAS? To be the one who grounds the league? Or was that in Young Justice at one point? Idr. But either way, between that and the Arrowverse stuff... definite leader material. And since Nightwing very much doesn't want to be Batman... even though he kind of lead the Teen Titans, sometimes as Robin, sometimes as Nightwing... I'd only have him be leader in my version where Static was swapped in.
My personal team would be Hawkgirl, Aquaman, Doctor Fate, and Solomon Grundy. No wait, that was the DCAU parody of the Defenders from Justice League's The Terror Beyond.
I had a whole piece of this video where I actually talk about that but it was way too long and I had to cut it lol
Just saw that episode and I really like it especially the fights between
As someone whose favorite heroes are the OG Defenders, sounds like DC might’ve actually been cooking. I may have to watch that episode.
Bronze Tiger “Street level”
Starfire “Space”
Mera “Ocean”
Etrigan “Magic & Strength”

True. But it was exclusive to Netflix and wasn’t treated as nearly as important as their top-tier teams. Which is a shame.
Zatanna, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and Deadman. All bases are essentially covered with Zatanna dealing with magic, Deadman with supernatural, Arrow for the heart, humor, and planning, Canary with the street level skills and also a tactician
Love all four of these teams I think they be perfect for tv shows or movies
To be fair booster gold in some continuities does have his own company that he uses to promote himself. It’s pretty much the superhero equivalent of Mattel, but less successful.
If we’re going for counterparts to the actual Defenders then the team would Damage(Ethan Avery), Dr Fate,Aquaman,Captain Atom,Hawkgirl and Batman
I think on the last team Oracle could be a fifth member
She could be their coordinator
@@tyrellmultimedia that’s what I meant, I couldn’t think of the word

Thanks!

I’m going to do five because I always said Netflix Defenders should have had The Punisher
1) Night Wing
2) Constantine
3) Hawk
4) Dove
5) Steele
If you had to rank the batfamily based on how much u like them how would you rank them
I could make a video on this 👍🏼
My defenders Team
Nightwing for daredevil
Thunder for Jessica Jones
Karate kid for Iron fist
Painkiller for Luke cage
Katana for Elektra
Lady Shiva for Collen wing
Rocket for Misty knight
Deadshot for Punisher
Raven, red hood, huntress, arsenal
My team would be the likes of Nightwing, Black Lightning, Gotham Girl, Katana
And my second team is Dr.Fate, Green Lantern (kyle rayner), Big Barda, Power girl
Would you do a hot takes video on black adam?
Green arrow
Zatana
Hawk
Dove
Black lighting
Didn't Batman create the Outsiders?
