Ben, it's been a while. Hope you are doing okay. I hope to see you here soon, if you want to continue doing the RUclips thing! And I can't tell you how much I've learned from you!
I've been using By Vilain products to style my hair for many years now and they are pricey but it's obvious because they are a company baed in Denmark and I live in the US. They are probably more affordable in Europe. I really think they're worth it because they have worked out a lot better for me than local brands like Blumaan, Mr. Pompadour and American Crew which I found to be mediocre. By Vilian's quality is unmatched. It is important to note that one must find the right product for what they want to achieve as in pomades, waxes, clays, etc. I get loads of compliments on my hair style that I achieve with By Vilain products. They are totally worth the money.
Personally I think revolution is just as worth it as gold digger. Now I do use the sidekick zero, blow dry my hair then use the wax. They both hold the same pretty well. I also do a light shot of hairspray. My hair doesn’t change at all throughout the day and if I wanted to I could change it into a different style. This 3 combination allows my hair to still hold a shape after sleeping as well. I’d say I have medium thick hair. Even without the sidekick both waxes described above for me work the same. Great video! Really enjoyed it.
Welcome back Ben. For me I do like the gold digger product better than the dynamite clay. I also like their detox shampoo. And I do agree with you on the fact that the By Vilain products are a bit pricey.
A welcome return on your main channel, Ben, and a customarily fair and balanced review of the range. There were a couple of interesting High St launches before we were hit by Covid 19 - L'Oreal Barber Club hair products and Raw Naturals for Men, which is being sold at Superdrug. I hope you'll feature them on the channel, would be keen to hear your thoughts.
I looked at my hairline the other week and thought I was receding and balding on my left temple, but turns out the hairline is a family trait and my family has never had a sign of baldning and no one's gone bald, also it turns out after looking at all of my past photos even child ones, my left temple has always been less defined compared to my right one
Pomade is far more effective that wax for me minus the shine which it doesn't always deliver. Downside is certainly the smell and feel, but to be fair, I still have the same tub I bought years and years ago for a quid on sale. Can't comment on higher quality ones.
I think the powder was discontinued. It's not been in stock for a long time. Some people reported issues with the dispenser, so maybe that's the cause.
Hey! Maybe around 9 months for a tub, though I do have shorter hair than yourself, so you might see closer to 6 months perhaps. You don't need much with the stronger hold products 😀
My new favorite product is American Crew Forming Cream, Medium hold and shine. It works really well on thinner hair and provides a strong hold all day.
@@C0rnernI usually cut my own hair. I run a 3 1/2 guard on the sides and a 5 1/2 guard on the top. It's a bit short after a cut but after a few days it's the perfect length. I'll keep my hands slightly wet when I run the product through. It gives it a better hold.
The first wax I’ve tried so far is the Gold Digger. I just had to see if I can get my hair to look like Emil and Rasmus can and it works really good. You just have to know how to apply it. That’s the most important part. And then I got me the Bed Head Manipulator Matte wax and I saw pretty similar results! One’s expensive and one’s not but they both do the same job. So...pick your poison ☠️
Just so you know you can no longer get the By Vilain Blow it has been sold out for almost 3 yrs now I recommend the VoluManiac by got2B its cheaper and just as good. It also has spray applicator it can be online for around $5-7 US. It can be found at Fry's( one Krogers franchised grocery stores) for only 4.99 (its also at other grocery stores and drug store that have a good amount of got2B products. Try silver fox btw I have fine(not thin) hair and it's great also they recently re-did all their recipes and redesigned their labels. They released all of their newly labeled and altered recipes on the 25th. They might still be on sale for only 17 bucks. As well as all older By Vilain products are 30-40%(or more), that should still available.
Can you do a review or something on budget shampoos and conditioners? Maybe a top 3-5 best budget ones? I've been trying to find ones that work well for me
Can you all please stop commenting on his balding? It doesn't help anyone to point it out. I think he either gave up his channel, or is busy with other projects like his watch reviews.
@Jouy195 "his hair is great but no focus again his hairline" is not a sentence that makes any sense ... you are trolling me ... well done! good bye now
I have always made the mistake of picking heavy products, and I have fine hair, yet it looks really thick and full, this is because I have a super dense canvas, so lighter products have been a dream, you should try the fudge putty
hi mate, just watched your vid when you reviewed you finasteride usage after a x amount of months. you didnt see that much change. but me, looking at that vid and now this vid. a lot seems to of changed for you with you hairline in particular. have you seen a good improvement or is it just something you styling with? cheers.

People who is going to see my comment. I’m using Dynamate clay for years. I had gold digger but i wasn’t happy with it. I’m using Pre-style Sidekick Zero and finishing with Dynamate clay, it is holding all day.
Multiple reasons really. Money, enjoyment, audience reception, viewership, impact. I feel like I've said all that needed to be said about the topics on this channel. Other channels are happy to stretch the content out into 900+ videos where they rehash the same ideas. I'd rather not do that. Watches inherently gives me an unlimited amount of content to make.
Hi! I'm new on the channel, I recommend the silver fox wax, my hair is so straight and that wax is the only one that make it easy to style, also have a nice fragrance and a shiny result.
Hi ben I have similar hair to yours, I use the da wax a lot, it's a great product but do you think it's the best for the hold as I can find it makes my hair heavy most of the times, My question is how do you use dawax to hold so well in your hair do use a hair spray,?
Hello Ben, I'm wondering if you're still alive or if Finasteride depression has killed you - you still on it or did you shave bald? Thanks for letting me know.
You know, I personally do smell a sort of clean, silicone like scent in the Wax Zero and I am obsessed with it and how much volume it gives my hair. I think it gives the most volume out of all the By Vilain line up. My go to one is the Dynamite Clay because clay is the specific product I need for my hair type and hairstyle that I create but I still buy the Wax Zero because I'm obsessed with the volume and smell it has.
I think you should not use any clays or waxes you have very thin and less hairs this products are not for your hairtyp it makes no sense if you make a review about them
