This is NOT love but obsession. If you love someone, you want them to be happy. That man got roofied and that dialogue was terrible. Can you imagine if the genders were switched and it was a man that did those stunts. No way!!
Wu Yi despite her good family upbringing, she paid the price for her wicked thoughts, desire and actions. The story/drama may be different if she can win her husband heart and turned from her wicked ways.
