I'm from India and I have used this car from 2013 - 2020. i20 has always remained one of the most popular hatchbacks here and it's even popular now with the 4th generation. I sold my 2013 i20 1.2 Manual last year during December for the latest generation i20. I was looking for a hatchback since that fits my lifestyle really well and the i20 was simply a no brainer.
I purchased one of these brand new and it is a reliable little car and it’s still going strong. Too bad the paint job was absolutely dreadful. Within 2 years the paint was fading on the roof, the mirrors and the door handles. 7 years on the paint is ruined on the front end too. I’ve seen this same problem on many other i20’s in Australia.

That is a pity. Hopefully Hyundai tended to that issue on later models.
Toyota have paint problems too with the Yaris, they tend to go sparingly with paint on modern cars and don't put many layers on to cut costs
My parents just bought this car with low mileage. I think they’ll be very happy with it, we’re coming from a 96 civic.
