Great job!!!! I have a friend that has a early 2017 gc 1715 and he said that he did not have to take the tire off to pull his screen he said that he had just enough room to get it out. I have my first service coming up on my gc 1720 and i thought that i would have already had to do it but i didn't use it this past winter as much as i thought i would as we only had the one snow and i haven't had much going on but that will change a little farther into this spring .Thanks for sharing and keep em coming.
Thanks! The tire is really easy to get off if you use the jack and wheel hub to realign. I wanted to be able to see and clean the fitting since it has orings on both sides. The whine that had slowly gotten louder in the hydrostatic went away after the fluid change and screen cleaning.
That was good video on how service GC series hydraulics, I have M-F 1526 service is about the same, sump filter & trans. filter are easier to service as they are on the side of the trans. my brother is planing on getting a GC series tractor I will let him know about your video.
@@ShaneBurrell1 The M-F 1526 is awesome ! I got it mainly for the loader & 4wd as I have a 1959 M-F 50 gas which is limited hydraulic flow & speed but I use the 50 for other stuff ! I use 1526 to load stuff in my 1 ton dump truck and gravel and dirt that I dump on my property and spread where I need it. I think it's perfect size for my needs and has met my expectations. It truly is a perfect size compact tractor! and I'm glad I bought it.( KEEPER )
Man, this was one good GC service video, Shane. I needed that. Hope you get to do part 2. Enjoyed a full watch. Hey Shane, I wanted to ask you about the canopy you got from Massey. I'm looking at a Massey or a lighter weight canopy but I liked how much coverage that canopy provides. That sun just kicks my behind. Later
@@ShaneBurrell1 Yep, that definitely makes sense. I've forgotten I had lights up and the branches whacked my LED lights and fortunately, didn't damage a thing. Thanks.
Have you any knowledge of an oversized shield to go under the belly? The hydrologic filter has a shield. I'm looking for a shield that will protect the delicate fan and the seal around it. I've had trouble with the fan and spilling fluid when bush hogging tall grass.
I know several people have done it by making a belly shield. I don't know of one commercially available. I try to mow backwards when it's brushy and high enough to reach the fan.
@@ShaneBurrell1 I've been looking for 3 days on the radiator and block. The radiator is so cramped, even if I saw it, there is no room to get a child's hand in there. Going to see the dealer and hope they can tell me. Thank you!
Thank you !! 20 videos on transmission and you're the first to say the transmission fluid needed. Thanks again
Glad to help
Applaud for the standing up from sitting. I would do that in no less than 6 point recovery.
Nicely Done Shane!! Lots of good tips and info! Enjoyed watching the video!! Have a great weekend!!
Thank you!

Thank you, part numbers would be helpful. Thanks
Great video, very helpful !!
Glad it was helpful!
How's she goin'? Just dropping by and like Massey Ferguson. I have a GC2300. Nice video of the maintenance. Take care!!
Still running strong. 200+ hours so far and using it ever few days it seems.

Thanks! How do you like your 1526? I may get a larger tractor since I purchased the excavator. I miss having forks and draft on 3 point.

Houndsman One The canopy works great! I have to use caution while running the bush hog under trees. Gets real easy to forget the canopy is there.

How many hours does hydraulic fluid need to be changed?
Recommended 250 hours.
Sounds about right

Great video! Is the hydraulic fluid and transmission fluid the same? Is it shared or or they separate?
Shared.
@@ShaneBurrell1 so 2.9 gallon capacity for the hydraulics and trans?
@@nathanwhite509 Yes. MF POWER HC PLUS TRANS
Does the deck have to come off to get to the trans filter. It a gc2300 if it matters
I didn't have a deck but looking at one at the dealership it looks like there would be room with the deck attached.
Did your rear light come standard or did you add it?
What did you connect it to?
It was standard.
Please can you specify all the oil/fluids used
MF POWER HC PLUS TRANS for the hydro/trans. Rotella 15w/40 engine. Agco premix for coolant and MF POWER HC PLUS TRANS for the front diff.
WTF you mean not to bad it has chunks of metal on it, where do you think they come from!!!!
Any idea where the petcocks are to drain the coolant?
There should be one on the radiator.

So people were the filters are
Would have been nice to see how he refilled the hydro fluid, must use a special funnel to get to that pipe
I use a standard tube based funnel. They are avail at walmart, autozone, and at Amazon. Here is a link for the one I normally use.

Shane Burrell I use a hand pump from Harbor Freight. One hose in jug the other in the pipe then pump.
Are you running wheel spacers in the rear ?
I am not.
