Hey Tony, I am subscribed and love your stuff, but miss you dearly from the Massey family. I now have 2 and have done as you have with LS. I have a GC1710 and a 1726e. Keep recording! Thanks for the techniques...God Bless!
Enjoyed your videos! Been researching the sub compacts & am most interested in the Massey but with pto mower. Wondered what you thought of the front loader? I would be using to dig out the 3-4 ft. drifts I get up here in the mtns, in Montana from the high winds on spots on the road after I plow, . I can relate to your Plantar fasciitis also! If you haven't checked out Plantar fasciitis survival guide on YT I'd recommend it. Regards, Bill
Thanks Tony. Just used my mower yesterday and today and will finish tomorrow. Tomorrow is my cleaning, lubricating, and torquing of nuts, as you performed. It will be my first cleaning. How long do your blades last?
What year is this machine? I have GC2610 the older 25 hp model (~2010). The loader is completely redone. They updated the grease points and pin styles. Mine you grease from the top but the grease never gets to the outside so the bucket or frame gets very little. It moans even though i grease a lot. Also what kind of gap do you have between the arms and/or cylinders? Mine has large gaps (~1/8+).
Tony Lay they still make a 25 hp version (1715/1720). I'm more concerned about the loader. It seems they corrected a lot of mistakes from the first one. Ive got about 175 hrs on mine. We had a big drop off in snow the past couple years which has kept the hours low but was one of the reasons we bought it. Do you plan on anymore videos with it?
Hey Tony! you seem to know theses mowers & I would value your input. The dealer has a Rhino TW14 PTO mower in stock & wants to sell it to me with the GC1705. The mower stats say requires 20 HP PTO mower & 1705 is rated 18.7. I am worried this could damage the mower?? Best regards!

Do you remember what size socket you used to take the blade off? I tried a 24mm socket but it didnt fit.
I know this comment is old. But for anyone else wondering, it requires a 1-1/16th socket.
27 mm

Where u get the grease from what color and what kinda grease u use
That's a good idea hanging the deck to drain it.

why not just keep the flywheel covers off? the deck can still slide or roll out right? the grass would not build up as much
You can I'm sure, but they're required if you drive over the deck to mount/dismount

I WOULD LEAVE THOSE TWO TOP COVERS OFF SO THEY DO NOT PLUG UP WITH GRASS OR REDEZINE THEM SO THEY ARE OPEN ON THE SIDES
I sold that tractor 6 years ago.
Tony could you she me how to take off the mower deck please
@@TonysTractorAdventure im in the process of buying one..... why did you sell it? unhappy?
