Uniquity Road is killer tune. I love the indulgence, it’s dangerous but beautiful: as most beautiful things are...

Whatdo you find “indulgent” about it. Curious.

@@spb7883 He is so wrapped up in the beauty of tune that the audience could have walked out and he would be still in that zone. If jazz players aren’t indulgent, I’m not really interested. This is a killer performance!

Only Pat can produce a silky guitar sound like that that goes on and on like a spiraling cannon always ascending in an eternal continuum that one can even heard after the material notes linger no more but remain down deep into our very core . Thank You .

Something really wierd was going on about 6 minutes. I think Metheny and Egan weren't communicating and Mays tried to fix it, unsuccessfully. I assume when PM turned around he told Egan to lay out. But it got all straightened out by 8 minutes. Always liked Gotlieb's drumming.

I used a Roland 120 AMP It had stereo chorus ; did many tracks from Bright size life , sounds exactly the same - loved that amp - good for George Benson sound too xx😉

Metheny's so young here... but this kind of noodling is precisely the stuff of his and other jazz players that I find quite boring. :( At around 9:00 he finally does the Metheny thing. Ahhhh

What jazz players find boring is playing tunes the same way, time after time, just like the records. Improvisation is the cornerstone of Jazz. But I agree, it can get a bit tedious for the listener.
