In celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring Wētā workshop is proud to announce its newest Limited Edition environment, Bag End on the Hill. Built to the same scale as the rest of our Hobbit Hole range, this is the most definitive version of Bag End yet. With Illuminated windows, a magnetically operated front door, and a never seen before back door cut from the original film, this collectible is packed to the brim with all the delights and comforts expected from any good Hobbit Hole.
In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole. It was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
Overlooking the village from the hill at the end of Bagshot Row is Bag End, the stately underground abode of the eccentric Hobbit Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo widely acknowledged about town as having ‘cracked’ some years ago, and his cousin and ward Frodo Baggins, whom he shares his home with, is certainly in the process of cracking. The Bagginses, it is said, consort with Wizards, Dwarves, and other folk with dangerous ideas. Bag End is a museum, its rooms stuffed with treasures, trinkets and oddities accumulated over the years by Bilbo either on his adventures or as gifts from his peculiar company.
But extraordinary as its occupants and contents might be, the abiding atmosphere of Bag End is one of lazy comfort, from the pretty but slightly overgrown gardens that hug its eaves to the welcoming clutter inside it labyrinthine chambers. Sprawling around the Hill beneath the shade of an old oak tree whose roots twist through its halls, the grand smial reflects the gentle good humour of its hosts and the universal Hobbit love of simple pleasures. There have been Bagginses living under the hill for as long as anyone can remember, and there always will be.

Got mine today, it's absolutely wonderful!
Here's a few improvements, if they gonna make another version:
- It's built from the same material as the other Hobbit Holes and feels just as sturdy, but with 17 kg it's very heavy. So the stand does not only have to be large, but also very solid
- A hole in the back like a tunnel to the main entrance and one to the back door to see more of the interior would make it even more impressive. Others say a removable top, but that much likely would leave a noticeable seam, not nice
- The black sides should be also covered in bulgy greens
- A few figures would make it feel more alive, Bilbo, Frodo, Gandalf, perhaps even dwarves

So what? Except maybe reducing the weight, the other suggestions aren't such a big deal, there used to be a version of Bag End by Weta about 13 years ago which showed the interior on the back.

I love that Leonard is barefoot! I own all the other Hobbit Holes but this 1 is just a bit out of my price range. Still looks amazing though! def PO the smaller version.
Its great! But I can’t help but think that if the top was removable… it would have probably been amazing!🤩 This way you could see the inside easily. Or perhaps make the front halves open up like a window 🤔. The indoors just seems totally lost from afar and that’s where imo the warmth of the scene in my memory comes from ❤. Still considering buying tho, big fan and like I said, it’s great!
This is an amazing piece of work for the 20th anniversary of the release of The Fellowship of the Ring. I would have loved to own such a piece alas 😕 I must decline as the price is out of my range.

Weta has set the price too high on the limited environment, considering that only a part of the interior is visible only through the small door. It would have been nicer to be able to see the interior from behind or side as well, especially with the LED lightning. Size is good and details great however.

The room in the right of the Secondary Entrance door has the wrong window. The window that you point that should belong to the bedroom is actually the window from the Study Room. And in your mini house the Study Room has the window that should have belonged to the Bedroom. You got the windows of those 2 rooms mixed up.

Beautiful. But WETA may disagree, and inflation is everywhere, IMO overpriced. Or at least release a version where the purchaser can insert their own lights. Also the quality control of the paint for something like this needs to be perfect. The price puts this out of reach for many long term fans.
