Man my mom and I every year0 would watch Alex Gordon. In baseball I was always number 4 thru highschool. My mother being from Nebraska like Alex loved him from day one. We use to get seats right on wall of left field. She died in 2018 so Alex thank you for all you done and memories I made with my mother
Me too! It’s going to be an adjustment to not see him there. 😥. But unlike when Kirby Puckett had to retire from the twins I’m not going to abandon the Royals because one of my favorite players retired. The advantage I have now is that I have more information about our minor leagues and our draft picks. I’m looking forward to the future. Kyle Isbel for left-field!
My favorite Alex Gordon defensive play is every time he hosed a baserunner. Make that video, Royals social media and creative staff. I just looked it up, 102 outfield assists. Play them all. Do work.
I was at the Tigers vs Royals game when he robbed Mikie Mahtook. That was by far the best catch I’ve ever seen live, and I was less than 50 feet away from it
This video is exactly the proof as to why his statue should be a diving catch and it the finger point. A career of web gems and the hardware to back it up over one clutch hr that only tied the game and later went to 14 innings before a result happened. Seriously get it right.
What? No credit given to the hitters for being able to hit the ball to the exactly perfect spots that allowed him to make these plays? Others below mentioned making making a vid of his assists. I would say yes but start it out with the background that had a good deal to do with that. Long time ago but if I'm remembering correctly (first noticed him in college world series?) he was a very fine 3rd baseman at Nebraska. Knew how to get the ball out of his glove and get rid of it quickly. Combine that with a really good arm and...
