Hi Dan, the blue pipe is called C900 and it is in fact water pipe. The long black pipe is HDPE it's mostly used for directional boring. I used to unload plenty of both.
I haul PVC out of Clarksville Tennessee all the time. It's one of my primary hauls. We use super sacks and put them on the top stacks before they put it on top. Works great. And now I don't have to because of my emissions since it doesn't produce soot
I saw an article noting that over 200 train locomotives are sitting idle on a track in Benson, Az, do to a freight slowdown in rail freight. It was noted the Benson weather is ideal for exterior equipment storage. 🚛🗽🙈

I was thinking that with the distance that your exhaust stacks are from your load, the smoke tarp may not be as critical, not like A day cab would be.
