I spent like an hour in game trying to figure out how to make weapons do anything and then gave up.. so thank you, I learned out how to do it because of you're video xD
I'm totally new to this too, so thanks! However, I suggest:
1, use the items you already set up on the Hotbar, instead of hitting tab each time.
2, Use thrusters up & down to help pitch (look at KSP RCS thrusters for help!)
3, Use the mirror mode more... You could have done the landing gear much easier.
Tab is a side effect of building in stormworks - Mirror doesn't work on sub parts as it does in stormworks - Thanks!
@@EndoSkull yeah, having to independantly design each child part and not having a module copy/paste feature is... taxing.
@@EndoSkull Mirror mode not working on subparts is something i am used to from Space Engineers, and i am getting used to building in Stormworks already, so for me it doesn't seem to be too much of a difference aside from the fact it doesn't seem like you can directly copy/paste a part onto your ship like in Space Engineers.

i think the hinges would work a little better if perpendicular was 0 deg, and it went from -90 to +90 with 0 being the starting position. that seems a little more logical to me.
Means coding for negative numbers. Kind of a super minor QoL. I'm content to wait on it. Block rotation is a bigger potential improvement to building utility.

Very cool. Think you might want the starter block...it allows you to raise or lower the whole project. Also check in the tab menu...the top option allows you to save blueprint, it is not obvious because it is blank until you do your first save. You can use the starter block to spawn in blueprints from save or online.
is it possible to roam on its own ship while it's traveling ?

at the moment its only creative mode. But survival is being implemented
What I would like to know is how detailed can you make the ships. can you make ground vehicles with wheels or tracks or are they limited to hover types?
I have been looking into this game for a while now, and I was loving it. I came here to see how the build process would be like to know whether I'd like it or not. I gave up the moment I saw the back engine being able to thrust in reverse and the ship maneuvering up and down with just the side thrusters. I guess I'm sricking with KSP and SE. Slightly disappointing, I have to say...

i been playing duel universe but i think im going to playing this because they make everything so much easier. and you can play this solo. and you can get right into pvp here from what i seen.
So..... did they do away with the hotkey block? cause i dont have an option for one, so i have no idea how to hook up guns.... too late to return the game, so im stuck with a floating brick i guess
One thing I think is true, you need to use the starter block while building your ship. Reason is, if your ship gets damaged after you make modifications without it, you cant just repair your ship. You would have to rebuild it... least I heard, haven't tested yet. Mostly been busy :/
Those mirror mode sounds, sound similar if not the same to empyrion it’s mirror mode sounds

AI guided, turreted Gatling point defense "Pulse" lasers.
Have about a dozen of those per side of the ship and then watch as anything that gets close gets mauled to death by small green blast bolts.
Less of a building game, more of a ship designer, but the stretchable blocks mean its only rival is the current prince of the engineering genre, Starbase. But Evo is relaxing to build in, in ways a game like Starbase can't be. If Evo added resources and pipes/wiring, Frozenbyte would suddenly have a serious competitor, only big difference is the difference in flavor and beams-bolts-and-plates versus simple blocks. If SB added stretch tools to beams and plates? Ultimate space game hands down.

The mirror mode doesn't currently work for subgrids (things attached to a hinge, rotar etc...). If that's what your wtf 'ing was about?
I hate having to put thrusters on all sides I space engineers this will be so much better
