- Create the Starship of your dreams, explore a vast and vivid world and jump into epic space battles. Experience a truly unique and powerful building engine where your imagination is the limit.
Build like you never did before:
Pick bricks from a large selection and rescale them on the fly to create unique shapes. Simple yet powerful! Paint everything and apply decals to make something really unique and personal.
Blend large and small bricks to make small Starfighter or massive Dreadnought down to the smallest details. Customize interior and cockpit to your liking.
Make use of a comprehensive selection of logic bricks and mechanism like sliders, rotors or hinges of various size to create the wildest moving contraption you can envision. Landing gear, turrets, cockpit opening or anything you can dream off!
Play with gravity by building configurable gravity field generators or jump pads.
Use the repulsor system and the hovercraft computer to create and control funny anti-grav machines!
Build custom handheld weapons using small bricks! Give them a personal look and design their balance with weapon addons.
Assemble space stations in a modular way using the docking port. Create shipyards in various configurations: landing pads, drydocks, hangars...
Put your multi-tool to good use: link systems, repair your ship, use symmetry or have fun pushing things around with the anti-grav tool.

If i can be perfectly honest here, this game seems to be closer to what we've always wanted SE to be than SE itself..
If they can get a stable MP framework in place im just.. **drools at the thought**
EDIT: TFW you realize it's still a barebone alpha..
If he* this is a one man project, makes it even more impressive
Yea. The more I look at this the better it looks.
Personally, my main want from SE is better survival content and I don't expect that from Starship EVO, but the building system here makes me very happy. As I understand, stable multiplayer is a major goal.
@@michelles.3835 Onestly, even tho I know how hard it is to pull of stable multiplayer (dev here), seeing hhow well he managed to make the game run with really big ships gives me a lot of confidence that he might pull it off
Example of big ships, from his devlog : ruclips.net/video/fSU5hqAr_EY/видео.html
@@michelles.3835 Have a look at Empyrion, it's "like" SE but simpler construction / less micro, but way more gameplay and stuff to do
@@jkahgdkjhafgsd definitely not, emcrapyion is the stupid cousin of the genre
Between this, Dual Universe and Starbase, it’s really nice to see some real competition in the spaceship builder genre. Hoping for good things from all 3 of these games.
DUAL Univ. just looks freaking bad ass... Ive been following it for abt 2 yrs. Ive had several invites to play it with keys being given to me but i haven't committed to it yet because i am still playing Star Citizen, NMS, Space Engineers, Empyrion and Planet Nomads. This is title too is going to be added to my list. I'm an artist so the creative aspects of these games appeal to me greatly. I wish i could combine elements of them all into a perfect game. I keep buying them in hopes that i find that one perfect title.
@@kevinpittman2517 Did Planet Nomads actually release?
Avorion.
@@chiffmonkey Still in Early Access
IMO, a subscription model fopr a fucking beta like DU is just a scam.
I can't believe my ship made it in this video (the YT 2400) I uploaded it literally 12 hours before this video was published :o That is some impressive turn around as far as video production goes.
Your ship sold me on the game, can't wait make stuff that good myself.
Also may I add eccellent taste in ships? It's my favourite non mainstream ship in all star wars and I'm honestly conflicted if it would've been a better Falcon than the one we got in the end
cool to see the Outrider (YT-2400) pop up at around the 10 min mark. impressive builder when you come from space engineers. though honestly its about time there was some evolution in the genre
Piloted by Dash Rendar in Shadows of the Empire for the nitendo 64
@@ravenhunter1355 I really wish they would remake that game for Next-Gen, that was always my favorite star wars game
I was relieved when I saw this comment. Was worried nobody would even know this ship or the story. You deserve a like mate
Who will build the yt-1300?
@@AmaticXLII corellien engineering
So let me make sure I understand this, the planetary rings from Elite Dangerous, a superior building system to SE, ring worlds similar to Halo, and the YT-2400 in a single game.
If I'm dreaming, I don't wanna wake up.
2020 decided that it didn't want to be *that* evil, so It gave us some gifts; like this game, and a video from Seananners
I just thought about that they combined Space Engineers with Avorion in building but made it accesible like Scrap Mechanic^^
@@madrooky1398 the player built objects very much reminds me of scrap mechanic
I know right, this seems epic.
Don't forget we can finally make and fly modern navy style spaceships from Japanese pop culture too
Makes me happy to see larger youtubers finally testing out this wonderful game
I've had this game for a bit now, and it's judt about the best builder I've ever played.
Coming from an space engineer backround I'm just wondering how you pressurise ships with the complex doors.
@@benseaman3856 there's no pressurisation yet or anything like that, it's still pretty basic ngl
@@valkobal8882 cool thxs for replying thinking about picking it up
@@benseaman3856 I might be a tad biased but I definitely recommend you do, also do join the discord if you end up getting it, the community is awesome
@@valkobal8882 cool man will definitely pick it up 😄
This game looks like a great foundation. I hope they add a damage system, graphics, and lighting at least close to what Space Engineers has. If they can do that, I think this game will become way more popular.
They have a damage system you can disable and destroy blocks also there is energy shields you can use.
I agree 100% as i stated in a previous comment... the game graphics just feel like they are lacking... and i am hoping this is just because they've not invested the time yet into the final polish. The cartoonish aspect of the game is kind of a turn off since im a spoiled gamer that is attracted to the beauty of space and the grit of human machines that have been built to explore it.
@@kevinpittman2517 I like Star Citizen partly for those reasons, so I know what you are talking about. Agreed 100%.
@@kevinpittman2517 I, being a frame rate over fashion player, would love for them to have better graphics while also giving you the option to not use them.
@@kevinpittman2517 Not everything needs to be gritty. The art style in this game is a nice change of fresh air and I doubt they're going to change it now.
You can see that developer gave this game a lot of thought and love and it shows
I absolutely love the way this game does blocks with the adjustment of length and angle.
Very cool, very cool indeed!
I wouldn't mind seeing this game added to the LSG game rotation.
I really like the art style too. It's not TOO cartoony, but seems like it could be optimized and hold up to the test of time better than something like SE. Good to see some actual player animations beyond being stiff as a board too.
I will respectfully dissagree. SE on high setting looks GORGEOUS! This is just over that edge of cartoony and oversaturated for my tastes.
The art style is what is turning me off
This game looks epic, and the building system is basically what i've always wanted in SE.
Now just hoping you can actually make some really massive ships and stable multiplayer would be nice.
Really nicely made game, would love to see some more content on this or maybe a survival- series like the one you did with captain jack, that would be really cool.
But yeah a man can only dream.
love your content!!!
so far there up to 600m stable ships fully detailed with child entities and turrets
Those are my ships! The Buzzard and the Greyhound. That was awesome to watch, thanks man. I'm glad you've discovered this game.

I have published over a hundred builds on the Space Engineers Workshop as Hyperion Systems and Standard Interplanetary Mining.
I have played several thousand hours of SE.
I played this game for four hours and then quit SE. It's that damn good. If you like building spaceships, buy this game.
It is like a cross between Space Engineers and Scrap Mechanic
exactly what i was thinking haha
And halo
guys they have water...
no not ice WATER
@Fernando Socas nevermind SE gat a nu water mod :)...
but still I love this game
*_Confused Screaming_*
Some if the ships I've downloaded are just mind boggling, huge behemoths that you can literally get lost in. Some even had landing bays that could fit smaller ships in, complete with moving bay doors, elevators, controllable turrets, and more.
Honestly I think this is the second most exciting space game for me at the moment.
That ship you spotted in space is a YT-2400 from Star Wars.
I was thinking "Is that the Outrider?"
I like everything about this video. I'm just extremely annoyed he won't just walk.
Huh. I usually get 1-3 like not over 100.
Me too tbh
Lol yeah, using the jetpack inside all the ships made the movement through them look pretty clunky. Would have preferred he turn it off while inside.
grav is on, all he needed was to switch his jet off lol
Thank you!
It's all those years of using nothing but jetpacks in SE
So tired of SE's building limitations. Looking forward to where this goes next.
Same here. It is sometimes just a pain in the a** to be limited to the pcu or block limits. Also the overlay of SE is not that lovely like in this game. I thin I'll have a look at this, when the physics are better than SE I'm definitely interested in this game. My biggest hope is that there are less bugs ✌️
The ships and vehicles here look so much sleeker too, man I'm digging this more than se lmao
Try dual universe
@@DeadLockedShorts too expensive. :(
Would definitely buy if there is better rotor/timer block options then space engineers.
Thats also limited in that gamr
I think some building videos of this would be pretty neat
I'm sold. Looks like everything we want from Mine craft, Elite Dangerous, Space Engineers and StarMade.
This makes me realize how limited space engineers is
Indeed. This has none of that Small Grid+Large Grid jank. I can imagine this will have worse processing problems though, but it might be worth the trade off to have nice sliding doors and stuff...
Galaxy613
This could easily be easier on processors than SE. I have spent a lot of time implementing voxel algorithms, and SE sort of developed themselves into a corner performance-wise. This game, however, has a ton of room for optimization.
@@philsburydoboy That's promising!
@@Galaxy613 I just built a massive 777m long battleship in this game. in SE this would have crashed my game
Space engineers is a far superior game DONT EXPECT TOO MUCH I've supported the game for years and be warned this is not very in depth in many ways its very bare bones but the main focus is the building. for example hit boxes are janky in this aswell as the physics for flying being a tad weird. Please don't expect a level of detail like space engineers as that is just not what it is. Its quite a lot of fun if you love building but thats about it.
Where these games fall down is the lack of content beyond ship building. What is available in the universe to keep players interest once they have a ship/base?
I Backed it on kickstarter, and he wanted to get the building portion out for people to play with and test before he started on the survival aspects. The dev (one dude) has kinda been wishy washy on what the final product will look like but last I read his interim goal was to have players hunt pirates for credits that they would use to pay for blocks and resources to expand their ships, at least until he can get a proper resource/survival aspect in.
@@RaG0dofTheSun I've been through a number of these voxel ship builders. The player base always design all kinds of cool ships - cargo haulers, carriers, battleships, you name it, and there's no actual gameplay to support their function. I couldn't support another such game without knowing what the final game will look like. Let alone know that it will ever be completed. I'm impressed by what one individual has completed here, but I can also see that it has a long way to go before being a game.
@@kilozulu2413 As a backer, I prefer not even to call it a game yet since it has no gameplay loops, I prefer to call it a very cool techdemo that has a lot of potential if he can get down to the nitty gritty and make something worthwhile and long-lasting to play.
Player-driven content supported by in-game mechanisms is the way to go. Games like ECO and to an extent SE achieve this by allowing players to create contracts or missions for other players.
@@evanpage2855 what game is "ECO"?
As a SE fan this game melts my brain. Stuff that should of been in SE is in this game already, and it seems like the creator and I (and probably a lot of others) share a similar dream of a Space sim creative game. I'm already sold and It's crazy how this game is still in early development I'm so optimistic for the future!
I bet in that workshop there is some Star Wars stuff
Friendship ended with Space Engineers; Starship Evo is my new best friend.
Wow I remember this game! It's good to see it never gave up. Hope it stays that way
This and Starbase look fantastic for building ships, hopefully they will be "done" one day
Nice video,. I love space building games!
You should try building in Avorion. Blocks can have all sizes and you can also fill in the dimensions of your block . From 10cm to 1km!
cant imagine this game with content. its incredibly stable, everything just flows out and solid. it will be a great game.
Haha smooth space engineers
I just got this game yesterday and I absolutely love It! I definitely recommend it. It's like a combination of space engineers and star citizen.
Are you just building in it, or is there much gameplay? Tho TBH I'm only really interested in building...
@@Galaxy613 it's building. If you like building, I strongly recommend you try out Space Engineers. It's more developed at the moment, and is a great game to play while you wait for starship evo do be developed more.
@@cirejc2235 could you tell me please how big is a galaxy at this point? I am more interested in exploration.
@@HCforLife1 the solar system currently consists of a small ringworld, a gas giant whose rings are composed of thousands of asteroids, and a planet that you cannot land on. It's not great right now, but soon there will be many many planets of different types and multiple biomes. If you are interested in exploration, I suggest Elite Dangerous: Horizons or Maybe Star citizen. Starship EVO and Space Engineers are more focused on building.
Came from Space Engineers, was there while Empyrion failed, tried to fill the gap with Scrap Mechanic.
You had me at "Pistons" (and Logic)!
wow that actually looks pretty nice. I can make stuff without worrying about block dimension limitations.
I come from space engineers (600+ hours) and I'm seeing this an evolutionary space ship builder. I honestly don't care if it doesn't have the level of voxel or ship destruction SE has. If it has good MP support and things to do other than mine and dog fight, it would be enough
Instant Buy!!!
I'd like the visuals to be a bit less comicesque though...
Its just a dream xD Build Options like Avorion but with Interior etc, multiple Weapon options like FTD but not nearly that complex and a mixture from SE and Scrap Mechanic in how you can automate and add features to you builds. If this is getting an good Survivel Multiplayer mode this game would be one of the best thats actual released ( Hopin Starbase gets released soon :D )
Great ! I'll check that one out in 5 years when it's out.
ill meet you in the "Loading Chill-Out Room"
Lmao
Thanks for bringing up this masterpiece.
Not crazy about the overall look, but the building possibilities I see 😍
Seems to have a build style like Avorion but much more fleshed out. Looks awesome.
I need a survival mode eventually 🤩🤩🤩 this looks amazing.
Ok this game is all I've ever wanted in other space sims. No Man's Sky but build your own ship!
this one of the coolest space games ive seen in while
Happy to see one of my favorite games featured on LSG
This game seems so much more interesting than space engineers to me at least
Individually configurable shapes. Seven hells, take my money now.
I would love to see a legit Mandolorian Star Wars style mod for this game. would be epic!
I was trying to debate on grabbing this or Dual Universe.... Now I'm like "Eh, why not both!"
thank you for showing this game, its something like scrapmechanic in space i love it! gonna buy it for sure
Very nice that you checked this out again now that it released !! So much more detailed building and less clang.
Sadly a one man project so slow development and UI not the best.
I hope this actually gets developed, looks like a more fun space engineers.
Oh wow, I clicked on this 18 seconds before it posted 😅 first time being so early to a video
Thanks for showing that. I'm gonna buy it NOW
This looks like a mix of Space engineers and Scrap mechanic
Looks a lot simpler than Space Engineers or Dual Universe. When I build my PC this might be my top choice over the other two.
3 things until I'm automatically sold: better textures, better lighting, cooler player models.
looks great! I would like to see the actual gameplay aside from building, what are your opportunities? Can you craft? Can you mine?
whoa. thats really cool. Is there any survival mode? what would a faction pvp/RP server look like?
This looks amazing almost honestly beyond SE I guess I know what Ill be picking up this weekend. I cant wait to see how this will further evolve. Would also love to see a series like you do with SE with this game. please please do one!!!
Looks neat. I'll still wait for Starbase, though.
Neat! I look forward to your next game review!
Great video, this answered a lot of questions I had about the game. Avorion's ship builder in first person like Space Engineers, and basic wiremod gate elements, sign me up.
Jeeez, leave Space Engi and start this one asap XD
Please show more shipbuilding I must know more
Thank you for pointing this game out! I completely missed it, since I never had any info before. - i'd love to see the building, since I'm a SE guy with 1k+ hours.
This game has everything I wish every building sandbox game has. Now if only it had an AI faction/quest system, survival and such. This would be one of the best games ever
And best of all, your creativity isn't limited by paywalls, unlike SE.
You could definetely do a whole extra video on the game imo.
how does it compare to space engineers and other bigger games in the genre in terms of features?
- Does it have destruction/deformation for ships and planets/asteroids?
- Does it have pressurization inside the ships and stations?
- Does it have fluids unlike space engineers?
- How is performance when playing with really big ships (can you even build something the size of a star destroyer)?
nvm I just bought the game and will figure that stuff out myself now lol
This game has been set up perfectly for VR support... It'd be amazing.
Yes, more with this for sure! Maybe look at the weapon building (hand held)?
This game reminds me of Roblox studio, and I love it.
The most detailed spaceship builder on the market. 10 steps ahead of every other related game in that regard.
I'm really, really hopeful that this comes to consoles
If you guys like this game, you’ll probably be quite hyped for a new game called Starbase. As of now, it’s not even in early access yet, but it looks so good, as does this game.
seems like something I should be playing on an iPad.
Wow thats fascinating. taking Design to a whole another level
So this game is Stormwork but in space... cool!
Love the potential here. I'd hope for decent AI spaceships and stuff which Space Engineers always failed at.
Love this, also you weren't moving the asteroid was. Yes they do that.
There are lots of bugs though, although note that they are fixed frequently
"one day, Space engineers, stormworks and elite dangerous had a threesom, this is what came out"
a vr mode for this game would be incredible
Can you and Jack do colony wars but transformers theme that would be fun to see
I have to take a look at this now.
Im gonna try out this game👍 thanks for the vids
I wonder if full planets will be added at any point in the future?
im interested in the destruction like in SE you see the blocks deform and change when they get hit
Pretty sure you showcase just made the developer a nice number of sales because this game looks super interesting.
That's like if SE and scrap mechanic were merged into one game
I had to click because I saw the Outrider
Everyone has been talking about this game. Hopefully it's as good as the hype.
Nice game 👍
You should be able to change the colour of the green lights, but keep red lights static so there’s no confusion when riding in another players ship.
LOOOOVE the artstyle!!!
I first found this game from this channel. I started following along the devlogs until now, and finally it's getting out to various youtubers again
I just really hope it doesn't get steamrollered by Starbase and it's larger dev team
I wish No Man's Sky had building like this for ships. Always blew me away that I can build the hell out of a base, but can't build my own ship....
I would love to see some building in this game...Do you have to go collect resources and refine them? Or is it a creative scenario?
for now its just creative
@@jh5kl Ahh Okay. Hopefully in the future there is some sort of resource management, Even if it's like From the Depths where it's one main resource that makes everything
@@dylantrisciuzzi9479 given the astonishing progress he s been making, that will be just a matter of time.
I saw a Hiigaran interceptor in the store page, wondering if they have larger guns so we can replicate capital ships like destroyers or battlecruisers... this game is going to devour time on me. :D
How big can a ship get before it hurts performance?
