What is a Fae vs fairy?
Unlike the fairies, faeries are considered to be evil, horrid, and mischievous creatures. These mythical figures are portrayed as spirits that know easy ways of stealing. For example, faeries steal children and keep them as slaves or pets. When compared to faeries, fairies are friendly and nice.

5:30 "having someone pump your gas sounds so cool!"
*New-Jersey-ans who know just how awkward gas stations can be when no one expects you to leave your car:* "I am four parallel universes ahead of you."
Edit: Just in case this was unclear, New Jersey is one of two states that have employees pump gas for you (Oregon is the other one, and it's laws are more lax than Jersey's). It's actually illegal to pump your own gas here, and has been since 1949.
That hasn't stopped folks from other states from trying, and it's funny seeing the conversations our poor gas station attendants have on the daily with out-of-towners who don't know they're breaking the law. We don't charge people mainly because no one knows any better, but it's understandably stressful hearing from a gas employee that you committed a misdemeanor when you're just...vibing. But hey, leave it to N.J. to take a cool, fancy concept and make it stressful and awkward, lmao.

From around the 20 minute mark where you talk about leaving high school, your future, and getting into adulthood, I can tell you right now that you are already doing so much better than 99% of people your age. You work hard, have built a continuously growing YT channel, and seem very intelligent and articulate.
When I was your age, I had none of those things and had just as much of an idea of what I wanted to do after high school, and everything has turned out okay for me, so I can tell you now that you're going to do great!

I agree that capitalism is terrible. But what also needs to be adressed is that there aren't many other systems that have worked. All of the other countries that turned away from capitalism completely collapsed within a few years, and for the most part turned into violent dictatorships (see China, North Korea, Russia, Zimbabwae, Vietnam, etc). I truely hate that the only semi functional system is one which puts corporations at the top, and only funneling a small portion of the earnings to its employees (who can barely scrape by), but until a new system that functions is developed and some how implemented, I can't see any better alternative than the current hell scape we live it. But we can take solice that we don't live in any of the previously mentioned countries, where if you tried to implement new ideas (at leasts for the larger ones like china, russia, etc) you would be promptly dissapeared for "reeducation", or tragically die of the very rare "lead to the head" syndrome. (Sorry for the annoying politics).
Edit: (More annoying politics) WWII is porbably the only war that just about everyone should agree with (at least for what we were fighting against). No matter what is said I will stand by that conflict because we brought down The Nazi Regime (who can best be remembered for the holocaust), and the 'Empire of Japan' (who were debateably worse in some cases (See Unit 731 as a very good/horrible example).

11:32 interesting, yeah. well, struggle does lead to growth, if it doesn't break them.
in my journey of understanding trauma, i found, its sort of like you get stuck under a boulder, either u get strong enough to get out, or you dont, you stay there. its both good AND bad. its good cuz u get out stronger, but its also bad cuz u will get pain that u never asked for.
it would also be good if you never got stuck under a boulder, so im not being dillusional right now saying "all suffering is good because all growth is good". growth is not flatout good. sometimes, people just wanna chill in some areas of life and dont need to grow to live life.
so its sort of, life is okay if you get traumatized, and its okay if you dont.
i truly do believe people who go through anything rough, are then given a potential to learn and grow and share it forward and change the world for the better.
Would Martin Luther King Jr. do what he did if he was born into a rich and privileged black family? probably not.
So who took the L in MLK's situation? young MLK who had to suffer
but who took the W? adult MLK reflecting in pride, and the whole world as well
but it didnt happen without young MLK's work through the hell

I think it’s really interesting that you believe so strongly right and wrong are only social constructs, yet with that belief you still have such a visceral reaction to someone cheating. If it’s just a social construct why can’t you just acknowledge that this person simply doesn’t conform to societies concept of right and wrong. Why can’t they just decide that it’s not wrong for them? Wouldn’t it just make more sense to be tolerant of the morals that the cheater identifies with? Is cheating inherently wrong? If society flipped the script and said it was socially acceptable to cheat, would it be right? Genuine question. No gotchas. No insult. I really do just want your opinion. I really enjoyed this video. Thank you.

15:12 I will use your example to say, I do believe it is the thought that counts, for example in that case they did not bare a single thought of giving you a gift on time and therefore the frase “it’s the thought that counts” simply doesn’t apply. Because there was no thought. But if, for example, someone’s grandma asks around for the name of a kid’s favourite game to gift to them, then yes, it is the thought that counts, even if the present ends up being the wrong one, that intention was there, and it remains very wholesome. But yee at least that is how I view things :) thank u for coming to my ted talk, and have a nice day, dear internet stranger :3

It’s the combination of struggle with helplessness
Resistance when a person has something to fall back on (perhaps friends, family, or religion) is good. But as a child being faced with struggles that you have no way to cope or escape from that’s when you creat people like Serial killers.

36:00 I was raised as an atheist, neither of my parents were religious and neither were half my grandparents, and i kind of naturally gravitated towards nature for that kind of "spiritual" comfort. Folk lore i was told as a child helped with that, but i think its something that can be really helpful if you just cant see yourself being religious. You dont need to believe in gods or miracles to get this feeling of mutual care and love when there's beard moss growing from the trees all around you. Im not expecting it to work for everyone but it can be strangely soothing to just stop for a minute in a forest, take your headphones off and just take it all in

I think the fact that perseverance is more important than talent is not so much something most people disagree with, but rather something many people find unpleasant to think about: Perseverance is hard and exhausting, while Talent is supposed to make stuff easy and simple.
I myself am talented in a lot of things and usually I get into them and get some skill in it fairly quickly, but then there always comes a point when it starts to get even a little bit difficult, and that's when my lack of perseverance stabs me in the back. I think someone with a strong motivation and lots of perseverance but next to no talent can go farther than someone with all the talent in the world but no perseverance.

I know I am late . But albania and kosovo have jobs thathire people to do the gas filling for you. And yeah its pretty nice to have that. And the other job you talked about is a gardener? I am pretty sure thats what a gardener does, taking care of your plants.

Look religion is not like i choose comfortable for me, you have to choose which is the real religion, is not like i cheated on my wife but jesus still loves me, NOO thats adultery and its bad, ok there is it heaven and hell, you do good stuff then heaven is yours, you do bad stuff then you are going to hell, so its not you choose the comfortable religion like "no i cant pray that much times" you want heaven you gotta work for it ❤❤❤❤

I don't think the only thing that matters is the thought. I think it's situation by situation but I'm mostly a consequentialist I think actions should be judged by their consequences. I think this only because of personal experience. My mother was not and is not the best but her intentions her thought was to help me. But the consequence was only harming me. But it's also 50 50 I think it's admirable to try and help someone but end up with bad outcomes. Admirable because you tried to help someone not because of bad outcomes. But it's still 50 50 because you did harm the world or people around you. Utilitarianly you caused a net bad effect. I don't know I had a lot of fun writing this lmao. If anyone has any thoughts please tell me I'd love to discuss them.
