Very beautiful, thanks! I've just watched a video from another lady, who made a shamanic journey to sheela na gig and she experienced being brought into the cosmic realm from before being born. So quite the same meaning of a portal into another space.

The Quest, The Calling & The Whispers - Oh darling this is breath taking as always - travelling as you do so beautifully and gently dear Candy 💜...finding the Sheela Na Gig and so openly sharing all the beautiful findings of her special essence and place in your treasured story. Such profound history discovered in her past that you found and your beautiful drawings and reflections and portals and sacred geometry and seeking. I remember when you first found her in the churches - so beautiful and touching in all ways. I always love hearing others stories and how the Universe whispers to us in so many forms...💜May the portals you enter always bring you gentleness here and the beyond 💚x

Loved this. In Australia from the 1830’s the term ‘Sheila’ was used to refer to a woman or girl, initially of Irish origin, but still used today in common slang. I did some quick research and it’s connected to the Irish celebration of Sheelah’s Day and Sheila Na Gig. Thank you for this. Sheila is alive and well still 🩷

Thank you so much for making this video. Sheela Na Gig came up in a reading a friend did for me last week. The image on the card (in the Goddess Oracle by Amy Sophia Marashinsky and Hrana Janto) is striking, inviting curiosity by its somewhat disturbing (to some) nature, but also with an open and inviting beckoning of total acceptance. I couldn't reconcile the depiction of her body, being that of a woman well past child-bearing years, with vulva being held wide open. What is she inviting in? Your video answered what questions I think we, as humans, can know, and the sacred geometry you found and outlined in your gorgeous artwork illuminated things we mortals will never fully understand, but can strive to with our limited capabilities. Again, thank you so much for this beautiful video! Your energy brings much light to the world, especially through this platform of RUclips where there is so much content based in fear. Much love to you! 🙏❤️🔥

💙💙💙 Candyyyyy this was amazing, ahh I felt it in my bones! And wow that link between her and your two main deities, of course it couldn't be anything other than that perfect puzzle piece. The boat in the six of swords is always going to look like a Vesica Pisces for me now and I love it. The Hermetic title of that card is Lord of Earned Success, and I feel that idea making itself clear in how you talk about getting to a point where your power has finally been claimed. So much Love! xx

Your art is amazing as always, I have felt drawn to draw the Sheela but I can’t draw, not really lol. I would like to read a book about them, would you recommend that one you were showing at the beginning of the video? The way Christianity took over from pagan beliefs is interesting, how the old holiday around Christmas time got co-opted to become Jesus's birthday, for example. Also interesting how we need a god or goddess to represent human male and female attributes (both of which are in all of us, I think) and connect being human with something divine. Giving birth is one form of power and perhaps the only one recognized for women way back when, but those of us who never gave birth find other forms of power today. I'm so glad this image is inspiring your always incredible artwork!
