J-Mart has a better arm, feet and oh yeah he doesn't throw to the other team. I don't think this is even a question. We are 1-4 at this point. Sorry Garbers turns the ball over way too much. Our run game will open up with J - Mart holding the defense accountable. Seye needs to start over Aiupu. Femi plays a lot of snaps we need to find a way to rest him just a few plays. He needs to still keep learning he doesn't have that dip but he has pure power.
Ok, so J talked about the refs. Bits and pieces: DT Siale goes out after losing Smith and Williams but the fill ins were adequate, Jones is KILLING us w/ his attempted KO returns!!!, best game by Femi in his lifetime, as said ,helped Schewsinger who has been dormant since Hawaii, Loya is an MVP, I don't care what contretemps he had w the coaches restore him to starter. AND the world turned right side up w the OL moves. Unije plainly stinks, dead feet and penalties, underweight Prongos is an athlete and held his own at LT, Carlin was killing us at center and about time Yoon showed more than just promise. Jefferes could be serviceable as well. JM was rushed about one third as much as EB has been rushed but he did handle it well when he was rushed. I love "The season starts now" we are out of murderers row. Lost to #4 and #5 teams on consecutive Saturdays, 4 of the top 25 while sc was losing to an unranked team.
@@richardthelionheart5594 who gives a damn about SC. SUC sucks. Let’s stop with this little brother mindset that SC is the metric by which we measure ourselves. It’s these idiot UCLA fans and idiots like Jarmond that tell the rest of UCLA fans to “read the room” after we beat a shitty USC team that keep us in perpetual mediocrity. But heck, at this point, I’d take a mediocre ucla team because right now, we are ASS. Expect banners to start flying soon.
Let’s be honest, this year is a rebuild year. Have to roll with Martin in the hopes that he will come back next year as an experienced player in the EB system.
Will watch later BUT refs will never let a "losing" team beat a team that could get to the playoffs. B1G wants 4 teams in. Hence, their paid refs fixed this game. We were in it when they took away our INT in the end zone giving them another chance to score the followed it by failing to call a flagrant PI on them when we threw a 3rd down pass. Announcers called it right, it was a FIX.
We did not lose that game because of the refs. Bad calls were made, yes. But we lost because our offense is the worst I’ve ever seen in my 30 years as a Bruin fan. Anyone that thought Eric Bieniemy was a good hire is an idiot.
@@tank1133we don’t have the talent and the refs jobbed us on two calls. Both things can be true at the same time. That pick as well as that holding call cost us meaningful momentum that could have been something. Agree that we’re playing like trash though in the secondary and on offense
Will, you need to temper your strong opinions. You go from one end of spectrum to another within a week or two. You loved the EB hire, picked garbers to challenge for big 10 throwing yards, etc etc etc. It’s hard to watch at times. We can’t get out of the huddle! That’s our first big problem and that’s on eb. 6 weeks in and we still can’t get out of huddle in time. We have to rush every play and it’s killing the team.

I also haven’t been impressed with EB like many despite his championship past and record breaking offenses with Kansas City. I still love ya! You are as close to a Bruin as you will find. I’m a total homer so I always believe until they consistently disappoint. I went to ucla from 86-91 beating sc 8 straight. Thought we would never lose again to them. I still have many close friends from that timeframe.
My point is that we have to give garbers a chance as we all saw how much better he is than j mart and the rest. Love j mart too. But I love all of them
I think even with a better Oline, UCLA should start J Mart over Garbers. It’s a matter of stats

First of all, Eric Bieniemy knows what kind of offense to call for each QB based on ability. This is the reason Martin should remain the starter.

We certainly should have scored more points and defense and hustle were there, what happened to the kid from Mami?
Martin starts and Garbers stays on the bench. It’s time to think of the future for the Bruins.
OMG these guys are so happy. Did we win or lose this game?

Garbors has a stronger arm? Huh? no way .IMO
I’m not happy with the officiating in this game. It looked like they were homer’s
Sit Garbers, He is not that good and no way will he be drafted into the NFL. Maybe Tokyo :)

EB needs to go. He was never a “real” OC as Andy Reid called the plays. He won’t divert or “pivot” to help these kids.
