i collect SNK stuff and very few shops carry neo geo games or merch. stopped visiting shops cos of this and shop online only these days. nice shop in the vid tho.
Wish I could time travel back to the computer store I worked at back in the mid 90’s in Swansea. I’d be rich as hell if I could have kept some of the games that people sold to us.

0:03 4:23 That arcade stick right above your head is what you should get. The dark grey and red with two buttons. Works on the Amiga and the Mega drive. Best way to play Amiga games.

CastleVania ps1, I used to have the double case edition had the book and everything was Mint it really was perfect, my mum gave it away she said I thought you didn't want it but then she gave away lots of my PS1 games all mint now worth a huge fortune.

Great to see another hunt from a sound female Content Creator, we need more of you. Far better than "can you give me some money" whilst I stand in front of 50k's worth of retro gear, not mentioning names 😉.
Shops like these give me mixed thoughts, really, they are just cashing in on the price boom and are no better than scalpers, but nostalgia is a powerful drug.
In reality, paying thousands of pounds for a pile of 30 year old plastic is madness, but we do it anyway 😀.

UK/Europe games or PAL versions tended to be smaller runs than the USA versions as a smaller target market, and some games never even come over to the UK/Europe this may in some way explain pricing.
It due to both how many of said retro games available to get hold of compare to USA (and places u can pick them up in USA like goodwill) and also u can say their more retro collectors % over population/ what available compare to USA

Cool looking shop! I love how everything is nicely displayed. Is it just me or are the protective cases for the loose game boy games really hard to get hold off now? Many shops and market stalls seem to always just have the cartridge now without the cases

I'd love to have the Pokemon N64, but they are SO expensive to be honest.
Prices are getting silly for those, I bought one for £25 from this exact shop (previous location) 10 years ago.
@@MarbleThumbs Wow! Now that was a decent price. Obvious the internal hardware is the same as any ordinary N64. I just like the colour scheme and Picachu on the case.

This is why I won't get into retro gaming. When she wouldn't buy that game due to water damage. Retro gaming should be about actually playing and enjoying the game, not just because a manual is damaged. I appreciate people's love for retro stuff, but it's there to be played not for museum purposes.
