12 Tracks from past F1 games that are not in F1 24 (Istanbul, Valencia and more)

- F1 24 has been released and it features all 24 tracks from the current F1 season, plus Algarve as a bonus track, bringing the total lineup to an impressive 25 tracks. However, there are also some tracks from previous Codemasters F1 games that are not available in the latest game, from well known locations like Sepang or Nürburgring to obscure ones like India or Korea. Here you can see clean laps with different cars on 12 different tracks from F1 2009-2023 that can not be found in F1 24, showing off some of the history of the Codemasters F1 games. Enjoy the show!
Timeline:
0:00 Istanbul Park (Turkey)
1:40 Valencia Street Circuit (Spain)
3:38 Korea International Circuit (South Korea)
5:37 Sochi Autodrom (Russia)
7:37 Nürburgring (Germany)
9:22 Buddh International Circuit (India)
11:12 Sepang (Malaysia)
13:11 Hockenheimring (Germany)
14:51 Circuit Paul Ricard (France)
16:48 Hanoi Street Circuit (Vietnam)
18:41 Brands Hatch (England) - Classic Track
20:05 Jerez (Spain) - Classic Track
As usual I put in a lot of effort to record the best possible laps that I could under the conditions that I wanted to use, often doing 20 or 30 laps to push my lap time as far as possible. With some of these tracks I was already very familiar from other games but there were also a few that were completely new to me, so I had to learn them from scratch.
Nürburgring and Hockenheim are two well known tracks from Germany that were alternating as the venue of the German Grand Prix for a while, which is why they kept appearing and disappearing from F1 games as well. Unfortunately Germany is not part of the F1 calendar anymore though, despite it being one of the leading nations in cars and motorsport, as the German tracks just can't pay the F1 owners as much money as places like Qatar or Saudi Arabia. Hockenheim and especially Nürburgring can still be found in many other racing games though.
France is another major country that has disappeared from F1. Paul Ricard was still included as a bonus track in F1 23 but it has not been kept for F1 24.
Sepang in Malaysia is another well known track from past games, as it has been used as an F1 venue for many years. The track can still be found in a different recent Codemasters game with Grid Legends.
Brands Hatch and Jerez are well known tracks that haven't been used in Formula One for a long time but were included as Classic Tracks in F1 2013, together with classic cars from the 80s that were racing on them. Jerez can also be found in Project Cars 3.
Istanbul Park hosted the Turkish Grand Prix for a number of years and it actually returned in 2020 and 2021 in real life but didn't return to the F1 video games. It could also be found in the original Grid and in Grid Autosport.
Valencia Street Circuit hosted the European Grand Prix for some time but it has since been abandoned.
Sochi was home of the Russian Grand Prix for a number of years but was removed from the calendar due to the ongoing war.
Korea and India both hosted F1 races for a few years during the early Codemasters F1 era. Both are obscure tracks that can not be found in many other racing games.
The most obscure track from past Codemasters F1 games has got to be Hanoi Street Circuit in Vietnam though. This track never actually hosted a race in real life but it was planned as a track for the 2020 season, so it was also included in the game for that year.
What are your thoughts about these past F1 tracks? Which of them are your favorites and which of them would you like to see return to the F1 calendar in the future or to some other racing game franchises? Let me know in the comments. Игры
How I will explain to my kids the Vietnam grand prix only happened in video game?
It was planned to race in 2020, then covid happened
After that iirc, the government was changed and basically they didnt want to budget a race there or something
Covid and corruption charges
That’s actually a really good point. What are we going to do?
I mean what are you going to do, so I can copy
You explain it by using words to form a sentance to explain the events and failiure of the Vietnam Grand Prix, and how pre-production in videogames means it appeared there but not irl F1.
Fun fact, F1 97 for the Ps1 (good game btw) had a similar thing; when the game was in production and all the tracks converted to work in-game, it was unconfirmed whether F1 would race in Jerez or Estoril. So they went and put both tracks in, despite irl 1997 not going to Estoril.
@@therandomgamer18 communist countries 😂
I want Sepang back
Respect for doing this in chase cam, i know i could never
This is the camera that I am used to, so for me it would actually be harder with the others.
F1 2013 Classic content is amazing
Imola Classic from F1 2013 was a bit different: it had a chicane (Variante Bassa) before the finish line.
Sepang is an absolute amazing track to drive on, i wish it returned on the calendar for qatar bahrain or something else
Man, wish they were added. But i don't think it'll happen anytime soon.
That's a very cool video concept!
You missed out on Estoril which is also in F1 2013
I like the little touches you added on the video like Force India and Caterham driving in their home races, and a Marussia driving in Russia (its last race under that name) Good stuff
Nice touch using a Marussia in 2014. RIP Jules.
You can mod F1 2012 and add Istanbul Park to the game. Its works very good actually
It would be great if these Formula 1 circuits returned to the game
Don’t worry. I’m sure EA and codemasters will deliver us Sochi in F1 2025
@@TaxiLifePS5 EA? HAH!
@@TaxiLifePS5 not after what they've done the last 2 years
@@kiw3rs2? you mean everything post 2020
Well, in classic we can find Estoril, and in F1 2010 we can find Endurance Sakhir, rarest track
Indianapolis also deserves a place in Formula 1. Yeah, it's in USA, but there and Austin are the only F1 suited tracks in USA.
100 completely agree
This is unconfirmed but there is rumors from audio files and stuff that a German GP is returning back and many are hoping itll be Hockenheim
Missing just estoril from f1 2013 classic edition
i like those track but vietnam thats i want to see in real life and when im gonna making full gameplays of f1 hope to have enjoy of hanoi
Just the video I needed to see after looking at Valencia pictures. Although is Portimao in the game this year?
Yep, the Portugal track is still available in F1 24, even though it's not part of the 2024 season.
@@Paragleiber And they removed France for no reason lol
They should just have those tracks selectable for quick race and custom seasons. Hell you could just play the titular 24 season and then subsequent ones could have tracks swapped.
Wishing F1 would return again in Malaysia, India and South Korea.
And FRANCE bro
I’m a huge koreaboo but Yeongam is probably the worst permanent race track ever built.
@@jacquesparpaing3217 Agree. It's rubbish.
For me best were: Valencia, Nurburgring and Sepang
Istanbul, Valencia, Nurburgring, Sepang and Jerez... I would love to see these race tracks, at the Formula 1 calendar, again. 😍👌🏻
been trying to find a good version of f1 2011 how did you get it P.S congrats on 100k mark well done you deserved that
I got mine on Steam when it was still available but unfortunately they aren't selling it there anymore.
@@Paragleiber i did bought it too at steam but the wouldn't launch

F1 2013 goated
why is the chase cam so stiff in modern f1 games compared to these?
Istambul and Hockenheim ❤
Estoril was also in F1 2013 as a Classic track, but you probably don't have the 90's DLC that had it.
You are correct. And you are the only person here who was intelligent enough to actually write a good comment about Estoril. Everyone else just blindly accused me of having "forgotten" it, lol. I wish RUclips would send more people like you to my videos and less of those idiots.
@Paragleiber I was in much the same situation for a while. People telling me that I 'forgot' the 90's cars in F1 2013 for so.e of my videos when I didn't have them. Now I do, albeit with a lighter wallet as a result.
@@still_guns Yeah, I checked if there is still a way to get the DLC but the only thing I found was the Classic Edition of the game for like $70 and I don't really want to pay that much for just a few extra cars and tracks in a game that I very rarely play.
@Paragleiber I could always record the footage and send it to you if you'd like.
Want Istanbul, Nurburgring, Sepang, Hockenheim, Brands Hatch, and Jerez return to F1
Why would you have less tracks than 23? What do you gain from it?
Vietnam was so weird
f1 24 ultimate when? inlcudes all these tracks
though now thinking about it, i wouldnt want 24 to have em. 23 or 25.
maybe they bring back all these tracks for the 75th anniversary of the f1 world championship in 2025
Valencia conducir en el juego :🧐
Verlo en esos años :😴
Kind of glad I never have to race Valencia, Korea or Sochi again tbh 😅
It's just too bad that we still have to put up with Tilke
valencia and Korea were fun tracks
Don’t forget sepang
You mean the guy who made everyone's beloved Malaysia track?@@MatthiaGryffine
I like Sochi, never understood why people hate it lol
Yo, Paraglieber released :)
at 20:50 williams fw15 had v10 engine not v8. it has v8 sound in the game
Istanbul was from 05 to 11
Yep. In real life it happened from 05 to 11 and from 20 to 21.
What is the name of game in the final vídeo?
That's F1 2013. It has a different hud when you are driving with one of the classic cars.
A calendar composed only of these tracks irl?
Vietnam in short time became a 'what if' moment for F1 fans.
I'm glad we never saw a race on it, it's horrible. And I never saw anyone who liked that track.
Me when I don't own F1 2013 classic edition and thus cant showcase Estoril:
I wish Mugello ever made the cut, it was too last minute and one off to put in the game I guess
the fact that france wsn't in it broke my heart
Bring back TurkishGP
Jerez should come back (1997 configuration)
Didn’t Nurburgring was in f1 2020?
It had a race in the 2020 season in real life but it wasn't in the F1 2020 video game.
In the video game it is the pre-COVID calendar, not the real calendar since at that time F1 had not even started...
Is Estoril in F1 2024? The track was in F1 2013 with the 90's DLC.
No, that one is not in F1 24 either. There is Algarve though.
Dude who tf plays in tpp camera view 😂. Also you should’ve added the Bahrain endurance layout from f1 2010
It's actually the view that most people use in racing games.
this is where i’m getting confused they have the files for the tracks why can’t they add them. i mean it’s still the same engine
Licenses and comercial stuff, I suppose
You forgot to also include Estoril
You are wrong. I didn't forget it.
@@Paragleiber certainly did, or wasn't the point of the video showcasing *all* of tracks from former codies games that are not in F1 24?
@@maxxam6149 Not exactly. Another requirement is that I actually have access to the track, which is not the case for Estoril, as it's part of a DLC that isn't sold anymore. And both title and description state very clearly that the video is meant to show 12 tracks, which is exactly the number that it shows. I never said anything about 𝗮𝗹𝗹 tracks.
@@Paragleiberokay, then that was a wrong assumption from my side, sorryy
Where is Estoril?
It's in Portugal.
@@Paragleiber this track was in f1 2013
@@jakub8186 Yep. It was also in the PS1 game from 1996.
You forgot Estoril
You are wrong. I didn't forget it.
@@ParagleiberIn my opinion it's you who's wrong, in the video I see: Hockenheim, Jerez, Korea, India, Brands Hatch, Nurburgring, Valencia, Istanbul, Sochi, Hanoi, Sepang and Paul Richard. I don't see the Estoril circuit in Portugal.
@@cristiangelo_2008 Yes, Estoril is not a track in this video. That doesn't mean that I forgot it though. It's just not one of the 12 tracks that I intend to show here.
What about Estoril?
What about it?
@@Paragleiber It was a classic track on F1 2013
@@Clipsofracing Yeah but what is your question about it? You wrote your initial comment in the form of a question.
@@Paragleiber Shouldn’t it be included in the video?
@@Clipsofracing No. In this video I only want to show tracks that I can access myself. And I can't access Estoril in F1 2013, as I don't have the DLC that includes it.
Don't You like DRS right?
I will miss all the tracks....except for Sochi. You will not be missed and thank god Vietnam didn't happened cause the track layout is bad anyway
hated Valencia...glad that its not on the F1 Calendar anymore
Qui nel 2024
I hate street circuits with a passion, both in game and irl
WHY DO YOU PLAY IN CHASE CAM
Because it's the camera that feels best to me. AND WHY DO YOU TALK LIKE THAT?
Forgot estoril
You are wrong. I didn't forget it.
@@Paragleiber i dont see it anywhere tho
@@therandomgamer18 Yeah, it's not of the 12 tracks that I am showing here. That doesn't mean that I forgot it though.
@@Paragleiber you forgot to add it in the video. thats what i meant
@@therandomgamer18 No. It was never my plan to add it to the video. I added exactly the tracks that I wanted.
Estoril?
What about it?
It’s a former F1 circuit that was included in F1 2013 but not in the video
@@ic3man I know that. What is your question about it though?
@@Paragleiber It just caught me off guard that Estoril wasn’t shown.
@@ic3man Well, I can't record Estoril in F1 2013, as it's locked behind a DLC there, which isn't sold anymore. I could have recorded it in a PS1 game but in this video I only wanted to show games from the Codemasters era. That's why I also didn't show Indianapolis or Magny-Cours.
Pretty much all the dates for the circuits are wrong 😂 can’t even be bothered to correct you because there’s so many that are wrong 😂😂😂
I assume you are talking about the years? There is nothing wrong with them at all. You probably just don't understand what they actually stand for.
Why that POV tho
What do you mean?
@@Paragleiber It's odd to play with that camera. Normally people play with the onboard one
@@santifernandeznabal7426 I don't agree with you at all. I think most people are playing racing games with that camera.
Vietnam wasn’t classic it was forgotten
Sochi was bad but other than that tilke tracks are very underrated
Im sure nobody even want Paul Ricard to return
why? i played on f1 2021 and f1 2022 and i liked, and soch too.
all of those in the video are 1000% better than monaco
At the moment it isn't in F1 24 but I've seen rumours it could be added as a future update.
I would choose France over any street circuit. I used to add France and Portugal to my career mode to replace Vegas and Miami
F1 now is 🤷♂😒😮💨
Mate just show an onboard and not that terrible 3rd person view 😂
Why would it be terrible? It's what most people use in racing games.
@@Paragleiber But not in F1 Games 😂
@@paulschober9700 Why not?
@@Paragleiber in F1 Games you usually try to be fast.. and with that, you need to see what you are doing.. Onboardcamera is a nobrainer.
Just look for someone who is not a 100% casual Player .. and he will be using onboard
@@paulschober9700 In every racing game you try to be fast. That's nothing exclusive to F1 games. And I can see better what I am doing with third person view. And many other people do as well. That's why the different camera views exist. Because different people prefer different views and get better results with different views. It's ok if you prefer the onboard view when playing yourself but don't try to tell other people which view is best for them. They probably know that better themselves. Especially when they have years of experience as a competitive racing game player like I do.
Sochi is soooo boring!🤣🫵
Monaco is no better
@@LPFan97At least Monaco is a classic circuit and their government isn't commiting a genocide
