Nice work. I suggest using African blackwood, as it truly is the king of turning and carving woods for fine details. Also, mark the upper and lower starting points for the twist using the indexing function of your lathe. Hand sanding is the time-consuming part of this project.
Handwork is is easy to like but well done handwork is a treasure🏆 I find it extremely rewarding. To see and to do! Thank you for sharing this Attila🙏 Stay safe. -Mike
Awesome bonus video, one of a kind, I like it, your so good at carving, I can imagine a dancing ballerina carved in the middle, lol, stay safe my friend, thanks, Gene
No problem. My next would have been a spiral work too but I ordered some better materials for it yesterday. I will complete it soon. Thank you for watching.
Thank you. The piece is kind of finished, I'm just not sure about the colours. Final touches. By the way if you follow me on Instagram you can see "sneak peeks" of the next projects.
By the way I have just realized you commented on my Ring Bowl video too. Somehow it has been picked up by the RUclips filter and got deleted. I see there was a comment but it is no longer available. In case you were wondering why I haven't answered.
From the circles project, well my friend another truly beautiful and original piece of art. I love it. You continue to to produce outstanding work every week, hats off to you. I really look forward to watching your videos every week. Thank you very much for sharing
I hate to tell you but you are using that spindle gouge backwards! The flute of the gouge is suppose to face the direction you are going and be riding the bevel for a smooth surface and little sanding afterwards.
That is no doubt, got to be the fanciest finial I've ever seen. Bravo 👏 👏 👏 my friend.
Thank you very much. 😀
I have only just seen this video. Very very good.
Well done.
Thank you very much. :) I have 70 videos uploaded. That is about a year old. I developed quite a bit since. :)
I am going to try this - will use your video step by step. Thanks for sharing
Please have fun. :) Than you for watching.
Very nice! Takes the patience of Job to complete.
Thank you.

Emery cloth is great for the rounding of these type of twists
Thanks for the tip. :)
Fantastic Finial Atilla, the Dremel looks like a handy tool to have :-)
Thank you. I carve a lot so I invested into an expensive carving machine. I use Foredom. Best carving tool out there but it is costly.
Nice piece.
Thank you! Cheers!
You are the best
Thank you. :)

@@Mustardpiece Yuup, those work very nice. Did You made that files with own hands?
@@Secondlifeofwoodturning No. No point you can buy them. They are cheap. Was like £15 for 10 pieces.

Yes, in fact I was showing my mother your work earlier today. She said it was all gorgeous.

Another great piece Attila! Just beautiful! Is that walnut? What's the finish?
Thank you. I think it is walnut and lacquer. To be honest, it was a long time ago. I don't remember but that is what I would use today. 😃
@@Mustardpiece Awesome! I'm going to attempt my first rings today thanks to you. :)
Good luck my friend. 😃
Amazing! Cannot wait to see what project you design for that to go on

Hi there
That is very odd. I didn't write anything that needed to be deleted. Let me go and look
Odd Atila, I can see my post. I wrote:
