This is why I have carried a Cara Cara 2 half serrated for years. It does pretty much the same thing as the Endura for 1/3 the price. I sharpen mine on a Crock Stick ceramic at 20 degrees (40 degrees inclusive) and it's a scalpel. The serrations are for cutting rope or seatbelts.
I was skeptical at the beginning because of my experience with spyderco resilience. But this one prove to be great knife regardless the price . The only thing i don't like is that ugly hole. Why didn't they simply use a regular slot or an ellipse 😃
@@dplusa I know Spyderco trademarked both types of holes. They hold a ton of patents as well.
Lol. The comet shaped thumb hole is so much uglier to you than the Spyderco spyder hole? It's basically the same thing with a tiny tail. I actually think the Byrd hole looks better.
You are doing a comparison video and you bothered to go to the trouble of measuring the hardness of the Byrd knife, but not the hardness of the Endura???
Interesting edge retention test. It's hard to know exactly how sharp each blade was from the start or how sharp they were at the end.
I like the forward grip on the Cara Cara better than the Endura. I like the handle texture and edge molding on the Endura better. I also like the bright color option for the Endura. But the price point... It's hard to beat the value of the Cara Cara.
