Of course, when something works out, you want to go further and try to get more. First of all, you go aoe farming because 1. You need/want something (gold, mats, etc., u dont need to offer boosts for that) 2. You love your class and always try to get more out of it 3. The gambling/chance of looting something "special" and the most important point, 4. The gameplay of aoe farming is just awesome, it's a challenge. Not everyone would manage for example a ZG boost/farm run straight away or at all. It's something you learn and put time into because you enjoy it. It's the game. Whether it's open murloc farming or in an instance But unfortunately, as a lot of time, the wrong path is taken to reach the right goal. As you say, Blizz could ban boosting or simply make it so that if a max level is in a group, you no longer get XP or much less. This solves their problem with boosting, we can continue to live our passion and have fun playing with our class instead of leveling up the 10th twink. It's not like we're going to give it up completely with the new changes. Aoe farming is like Tower Wars 2.0. Its own game within the game. Every class has its advantages and can do other things that others can't, let them do it Blizz! It's season of DISCOVERY. How far can we go with that! Should it be! Don't get me wrong, I boost myself and I like it, but if I had to choose between boosting and general aoe dungeon farming, screw boosting. Whether stealth classes can solo kill BIS bosses or AOE classes have a good farm, that's exactly what makes them awesome. and at the end, after they create the nightmare quests, the only difference as a the leveler is that you get gold and move around a bit (in the same area). But same boring shit. It's not that they want you to see the "world"
again, just remove the slow immunity and faster speed, make it so you have to be in combat to gain xp. or make it so you need to contribute in combat to gain xp. i agree boosting is lame but aoe farming is so much fun.
Legitimately learning the big pulls was some of the most fun I had in classic 2019 and one of the reasons I rolled mage to begin with. I rarely sold boosts, almost exclusively did it solo. I think one of the most important parts of what you said is that this didn't kill big pulls for all classes, only some. You effectively gatekept out non hunters ( and sometimes non mages ). Clearly it isn't about leveling speed, incursions exist. Isn't about gold, incursions exist. Then what is it still about? Why is this a still a thing blizz?
I love the fact that blizzard have no hesitation implementing things like this, yet refuse to put in any actual work in trying to balance pvp in any way. Blizz couldn't be any more tone deaf if they tried.
theres a a lot of newby player in SOD if the GDKP will back i think many player are happy and the game will not die like classic era until now the game will continue because of the GDKP

Noticed this earlier today in ZF. Seems to be implemented to prevent nightmare seed farming? Doesn’t really add up imo
The mechanic isnt in raids, its only in 5 man dungeons. It was added forever ago in season of mastery, it's not new.
