i dont know, he won with 637 seconds left on the clock. For more than half the video he juked the hunters so they wouldn't get him. A better coordinated team or if just ONE of their failen lifelines didnt fail, hunters would have won. If he could hear the hunters IMO that would make it more balanced, but being how it is it's just luck whether the hunter goes to place A or B not saying I didnt enjoy the video as this is my favorite one so far, but it's not the most balanced it could be.

@@fireb0rn For the elevators, what you might be able to do is get a mod to not allow elevators to change direction while moving. I’m not sure if it will solve elevator related annoyances entirely, but might go some way towards doing so

When you did the deep nest and confused the hunters one quote popped in my head "What you did was sneaky, underhanded, and downright distasteful. I loved it." Honestly, loving the new rules and different ways you try and achieve your end goal of beating the game each time you play.
I feel like this was really well balanced, they got two early kills and it really helped, but since they never killed him again, the timer was really painful. It's rewarding more unorthodox thinking, and makes it really hard for the hunters to just camp an area, since there's the risk that you're doing something else to make everything easier completely uncontested.
wow every time tsira_kura was guessing where fire was and getting it exactly right was amazing! but with being in the dark and it being thrown out ideas it's understandable but frustrating it always led nowhere. if they play again I'd love to see the others following their gut!
You should find a way to store your guy’s paths through hallownest, so you can make a speed lapse of everyone stumbling around trying to find/avoid eachother (Just a thought, you could do this by having a 5th player stay in kings path and stay looking at map for the entire game)
This is a great idea. Post game juke analysis with all the player movement. Just have a player sit and record their screen looking at the map the whole game.

I got my little brother into this game and he finally beat radiance and he only sustained 4 hits. Then he did it agian using boy wayward compass and took 3 hits. I have never been more proud. He’s only 9 btw. A God Gamer in the making.

This was great! Please do more! Thorns was pretty useful for escaping hunters, and I feel like D.Dark and its wide hitbox is a must for fighting 4 hunters and THK all at once. Regarding some of the hunter chatter, a fairly simple double fireball skip will get the player up to Salubra.

This might be an awful idea but...what if using a lifeline added time to the timer? That could create opportunities for you to try and confuse them so they use one.
I'm assuming this time cost would be instead of a limited amount of uses. Otherwise it's a straight nerf and doesn't change anything interesting. I feel like balancing it would be a nightmare. As is, the timelines are a tool that will inevitably get used since there's a limited amount and no cost, you often hear the hunters decide to use it because "if we don't use it now when will we? No point in saving" which is good. If it's tied in to the time economy either it will be too cheap and hunters will use it every time they haven't seen him in 90 seconds or it will be too costly and they'll never be able to justify it 100% even if they really should use it, since they don't know how much value using it will have. Interesting idea but I think the way it is now is probably best.
I love the way this was edited, especially the montage near the end. The rule set made this the most exciting challenge yet, and it was so cool to see the hunters predicting where you were!
The combination of the strategic hiding, ability buffing, and cheeky little hops over the hunters made this extremely entertaining 🤣 I also absolutely LOVED the sound effects, especially when you slipped past a hunter into Hornet and timing of the music edited in time to mask shards. I was either cracking up or on the edge of my seat…or both!! Big applause to your hard work editing and your witty gameplay! What a fun video 🙌💕

I love this! This is your best balanced and most entertaining one left (and I've adored them from the beginning!). Great music, really added to the energy, and I appreciated how seamless the editing was. I didn't lose the thread of the pathing. Very fun! I can't wait for more!
I loved the serie last year and I really enjoy this new rules set (even though I really miss the interaction and mindgame that was possible by you hearing the hunters). It seemed really hard for you last time but you showed having more time lets you get a lot more upgrades, that are kind of mandatory to beat hk, which means you can be at a lot more places than what was posible before ; and I believe the hunters here underestimated a bit what could be useful to you which allowed you to juke them more easily. Next instalment (which will hopefully happen) promise to be really good. One last thing that I find unbalanced and think could be better is that, in the beginning of a run, ancestral mound is too much of a choke point and dying here 1 or 2 times is almost mandatory, I would suggest then to lower the time penalty to 5 or even 2min and to balance that I would also suggest to add a small time penalty in HK of 1 or 2min.
Adding the subtitles explaining your thought process at any given time is just *chef's kiss* adds so much to the drama of the chase, whilst giving insight into your thought process- bravo! One thing that might be cool to add is subtitles for the hunters, colour-coded so they're easier to parse. I know that's a bit of extra work, especially bearing in mind how long these videos are, but it'd make chaotic moments easier to keep track of (also, i have friends who would love these videos, but they need subs when watching anything). All-in-all, 10/10 video, can't wait for more of this series!
I think these rules are cool! The only suggestion I have is to have a "time played" counter. When you lose time for your deaths, it's hard to remember how long you've actually been playing and I think that information's important.
"That's TOO meta." Which is exactly why Fireb0rn would do it, yes. When it's one man against multiple hunters, you have to get _really_ creative. If for no other reason than to saddle them with analysis paralysis on subsequent playthroughs.

A really good way to use that type of lifeline accurately would be to have all the hunters stay still while checking the map. That way they'd only see Fire moving

Fantastic! I binged this entire series today, and I loved seeing the evolution of the rules. I'm still between this ruleset and the one where hunters respawned at the bench, but you could hear them, as my favorite. You still managed some great bamboozles, but I do miss you being able to hear their plans. Absolutely a fan of the music additions as well! They fit the vibes of the cat-and-mouse game more than the ambient original hollow knight ost.
I may or may not have suggested to fire that he do deepnest first to throw hunters off in after an earlier game and then forgotten that I suggested it until after I saw him in deepnest lol
I know the rules are really balanced RN, but I was thinking it would be funny if that as you lose time to being killed, you gain time when you free a grub(that's what there called right? The Lil guys in the jars? I just started playing hollow knight so idk)
This was definitely the best video of this series. There were some very funny moments! I especially loved the hollow knight fight with the epic music! Made it so much more enjoyable!
Honestly, I don't think a randomizer one would be very fun. Half the fun of these is in juking, and there isn't much skill in juking if no one knows where a given item or upgrade is going to be. True ending would be sweet though.
What if you guys did 3 Hunters vs 1 Runner + Traitor There’s 4 hunters but one of them is secretly a traitor and needs to help the runner win, making one or two things easier for the hunter in tag case The traitor can lie about lifelines, pretend to accidentally hit people, make distractions, etc
wow all the hunters played so well! Shame the map threw them off so much, or I think they would have had it! Also I love how much knowledge tsira has, I feel like she really took charge and knew what to do. I definitely think this is the best ruleset yet

One last thing that I find unbalanced and think could be better is that, in the beginning of a run, ancestral mound is too much of a choke point and dying here 1 or 2 times is almost mandatory, I would suggest then to lower the time penalty to 5 or even 2min and to balance that I would also suggest to add a small time penalty in HK of 1 or 2min.

Adding the subtitles explaining your thought process at any given time is just *chef's kiss* adds so much to the drama of the chase, whilst giving insight into your thought process- bravo! One thing that might be cool to add is subtitles for the hunters, colour-coded so they're easier to parse. I know that's a bit of extra work, especially bearing in mind how long these videos are, but it'd make chaotic moments easier to keep track of (also, i have friends who would love these videos, but they need subs when watching anything). All-in-all, 10/10 video, can't wait for more of this series!
I think these rules are cool! The only suggestion I have is to have a "time played" counter. When you lose time for your deaths, it's hard to remember how long you've actually been playing and I think that information's important.

Which is exactly why Fireb0rn would do it, yes. When it's one man against multiple hunters, you have to get _really_ creative. If for no other reason than to saddle them with analysis paralysis on subsequent playthroughs.

A really good way to use that type of lifeline accurately would be to have all the hunters stay still while checking the map. That way they'd only see Fire moving

Fantastic! I binged this entire series today, and I loved seeing the evolution of the rules. I'm still between this ruleset and the one where hunters respawned at the bench, but you could hear them, as my favorite. You still managed some great bamboozles, but I do miss you being able to hear their plans. Absolutely a fan of the music additions as well! They fit the vibes of the cat-and-mouse game more than the ambient original hollow knight ost.

I know the rules are really balanced RN, but I was thinking it would be funny if that as you lose time to being killed, you gain time when you free a grub(that's what there called right? The Lil guys in the jars? I just started playing hollow knight so idk)
Yes they are called grubs, but maybe he should gain 1 minute max or he could just search for grubs all the time

Honestly, I don't think a randomizer one would be very fun. Half the fun of these is in juking, and there isn't much skill in juking if no one knows where a given item or upgrade is going to be.
True ending would be sweet though.

There’s 4 hunters but one of them is secretly a traitor and needs to help the runner win, making one or two things easier for the hunter in tag case
The traitor can lie about lifelines, pretend to accidentally hit people, make distractions, etc
