Submitted application at VFS on Wednesday and by Friday got an email saying that passport can be collected ( by VFS) from Italian Consolate. However, email just says the application has been processed but not whether it has been approved... but am hopeful.

Applying for visa for my daughter for Italy through VFS Global. We were told to use the new form (which is available for download on the VFS website). New form asks the same questions as the older one... only difference is that new one has Italian Consulate logo on it.
Yes that is correct , I just got a visa approved via Italy and I had to fill in the new one at the consulate, so that is also an option .

What if someone is sponsoring your trip from Europe
Then you must provide their 3 months bank statement and a letter supporting that they I’ll be sponsoring the trip.

@@MajorityOdion-sc4zo then agent might be scamming you - you can get book appointment dates anytime and the confirmation is instant.
That means you need to book for flight and accommodation first before applying for VISA ?
And what if your visa get denied?

My Visa was refused , I guess I marked myself as to be unemployed but I have a business that is experiencing hiccups , can I reapply my flight was booked and paid up for 24July. My male friend in Germany stated that he will be taking care my needs and he did send funds in my account.
Hello, you would need to appeal as you might be blacklisted from applying for a Schengen visa from any other Schengen country . When you do apply again , state you have a business and you capacity within that business (use the business letterhead ) say you have a sponsor for the trip , get the sponsor to write a letter that they are inviting you and you will be staying with them , and also submit sponsors 3 months bank statement .
But Germany is very strict. I would suggest submitting as much information as you can that will show them you definitely will come back to SA ie. if you own any assets (house , car , company )
@@NonjyMalz Hallo lady thank you for your response. The Consultant at TLC said No to appeal besides the fact that it might take up to 3months she suggested I reapply and state my strong tie within my country of origin. So i am lost now. I appreciate your input . Thanks
@@NonjyMalz the reason was that they doubt I will be back in SA. And my male friend wrote the invitation letter and I had funda in my account that came from him so 🤷♂️
@@mbalenhlendaba497 yes the main driver is probably because you said you unemployed so have a huge motive to stay in their country and not come back to SA…that’s why I was saying if you can show that you have assets/things you left in SA that will motivate you coming back that also helps , but when applying again do not state you unemployed, and maybe get pre paid accommodation too , to show you a tourist.
Have you used BLS?
Imagine booking your flights and then your visa is declined? What happens then?
You literally have to apply again and make sure your documents are in order …that’s why it’s important to do the visa application way in advance incase of this or make your flights flexible so you can cancel them or rebook to a later date .
You don't necessarily have to purchase your ticket. You can just reserve it. It will still work. Infact the guidelines say NOT to purchase your ticket until your visa is approved 👌
